If you pray for someone you pray for them and you don't put the focus on yourself by saying all piously...I will pray for you. Lol. If someone asks for your prayer then that is different. To use it as a passive aggressive way to score a point is an evil manipulative thing to do.
You can do the same in response since it is a war of principality and only God can minister to those that oppose themselves that they may come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Thessalonians 5:[SUP]21 [/SUP]Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.[SUP]22 [/SUP]Abstain from all appearance of evil.[SUP]23 [/SUP]And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.[SUP]24 [/SUP]Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.[SUP]25 [/SUP]Brethren, pray for us.
Ephesians 6:[SUP]10 [/SUP]Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.[SUP]11 [/SUP]Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.[SUP]12 [/SUP]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.[SUP]13 [/SUP]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
2 Timothy 2:[SUP]4 [/SUP]And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,[SUP]25 [/SUP]In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;[SUP]26 [/SUP]And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
So you can respond to those that say they will pray for you by saying that you will pray for them as well in Christ's love.
Scripturally, God have a problem with those who bless others when those they are blessing are in this specific apostasy.
2 John 1:[SUP]7 [/SUP]For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.[SUP]8 [/SUP]Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.[SUP]9 [/SUP]Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.[SUP]10 [/SUP]If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:[SUP]11 [/SUP]For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Errant believers that are in the apostasy that involves receiving the Holy Ghost apart from their salvation, thus denying Him as in them at their salvation, are speaking of Jesus Christ not presently in their flesh which is our body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. That is what it means that those that DO NOT testify that Jesus Christ IS COME in the flesh, meaning He is NOT in them presently but rather testifying presently that the Spirit of Christ is outside of them or in a place of worship or any other place.
Those who abide in Him will not say that so that they can say always that they abide in the Father & the Son.
At any rate, those who are not in that apostasy should not say God speed to them nor receive into your house.
Makes me wonder why I am still here in this forum when this forum welcomes them in. So I am praying if I should be here at all.
Those in apostasy are our brothers & sisters, but we are commanded to admonish them by withdrawing from having company with them as 2 Thessalonians 3:1-7,14-15
So maybe I should start praying about that, asking Him if this applies to me coming here any more or not. Am I not welcoming the forum into my computer and having those who have that errant doctrine into my home?
I know the Lord certainly warned them enough, and so it may be time for me to leave.
Anyway... it is a spiritual warfare and the battle is His, so we need not get mad, but pray for those that oppose themselves, and it should be obvious that the truth will win out no matter what, when we all stand before Christ Jesus in truth. So let us have confidence that Jesus will finish His work in us and others, even those unrepentant believers that gets left behind.
