Monday, 13 April – Lebanon
Please pray for Lebanon and many Christians who live in this country. The Lebanon authorities keep on saying that the situation has never been more challenging and that all citizens must be very aware that another civil war could break out at any moment. Many Syrians found refuge, but also violence and bomb attacks have spilled over the borders into Lebanon.
I am going to paint a picture of all the troubles.

Wheelchairs for Iraqi Christians

When ISIS swept into central Iraq in June 2014, more than 150,000 Christians were driven from their homes. Now they have been displaced across Iraq and many still living in temporary shelters are still struggling just to survive.

For an elderly couple like Youssef and Mariam not having a wheel chair makes it almost impossible to get around. ICC continues to partner with local churches and organizations, like Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, to help meet some of these needs and to remind Christians in Iraq that they have not been forgotten. Practical aid like this allows ICC to remind our brothers and sisters that there are people praying for them and giving to help meet their needs.

Boko Haram’s Allegiance to ISIS Resulting in Increased Persecution

In early March 2015, the radical Islamist group Boko Haram pledged their allegiance to ISIS. Although there were few initial differences in the months immediately following the pledge, the recent spree of increased attacks against Christians and moderate Muslims seems to be a manifestation of their pledge of loyalty. Since claiming affiliation with ISIS, Boko Haram has begun to refer to themselves as the Islamic State’s “West Africa Province.”

During the Muslim holiday month of Ramadan, Boko Haram followed the calls of ISIS for increased violence among “non-believers.” The past few months have been characterized by suicide bombings targeting both Christian and Muslim worship services alike. In addition to the violent nature of their assaults, Boko Haram has recently been attacking groups in Nigeria’s Plateau state, which lies on the border between the mostly Christian south and the mostly Muslim north.

Please keep our brothers and sisters in this region in prayer.

Tuesday, 20 October 2015 – Tajikistan
A few moment ago, Pastor Zukhrab and Pastor Nickolay, two local evangelists in Tajikistan, were requested to come to SNB's office (secret police in Tajikistan) in one of the city in that country. Therein, the secret agents tried to recruit them to become spies who watch for churches, congregations and other Christian organizations in Tajikistan. They surely have refused. Please pray so that they are strengthened in the midst of persecution.

They aren't even safe 'here'

Abuse, Exclusion, and Physical Attacks for Christian Syrian Refugee in Germany

Christians fleeing Muslim persecution are finding just as much oppression in the refugee camps and shelters of Germany as they suffered in their home states. As the vast majority of asylum seekers are Muslims, many of whom have imported an adherence to sharia law with them, the few Christian co-travellers find themselves ostracised, abused, and even physically attacked...

That clearly depicts what they will do when they are in the 'majority'. As the quran commands: 'So do not falter and cry out for peace when ye (will be) the uppermost, and Allah is with you, and He will not grudge (the reward of) your actions.' (Sura 47:35)

Let's pray for the persecuted Christians so that they are strengthened by Holy Spirit to fulfil:
'so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all persecutions and tribulations that ye endure,' (2 Thessalonians 1: 4)
