Here's another example of "mellei" "about to"

Rev 2:10 (Young's Literal) Be not afraid of the things that thou art about to suffer; lo, the devil is about to cast of you to prison, that ye may be tried, and ye shall have tribulation ten days; become thou faithful unto death, and I will give to thee the crown of the life.

So was Christ telling them they would have "certain" tribulation sometime in the next 1970 years and counting?
The first three chapters in Revelation regard the seven churches in Asia Minor at the end of the first century AD, but which instructions to overcome also applies to all churches throughout the world since then.

It doesn't matter how you try to massage away the "about to be" Louie - the Greek text says what it says.

Concordant Literal Version:

Rev 1:19 Write then, what you perceived, and what they are, and what is about to be occurring after these things:

Young's Literal:

Rev 1:19 'Write the things that thou hast seen, and the things that are, and the things that are about to come after these things;

And when you couple this with:

(Rev 1:3 KJV) Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

There is no excuse other than "theological" presupposition for corrupting the message.

After relating to the churches through the ages to overcome; the book of Revelation then explicitly goes into details as to what will come in the future.

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

The timing of the gathering of the church is deduced from comparing and cross-referencing all related end-time scriptures and understanding the nature of our God.

The primary principle is that, since Jesus suffered God's wrath on behalf of all believers satisfying it completely, then God's wrath no longer rests upon those in Christ Jesus. When we believed we were credited with righteousness and reconciled to God, i.e. brought back into a right relationship with Him. The scriptures also state that believers are not appointed to suffer God's wrath, that Jesus rescues us from God's coming wrath and that Lord would keep us out of that hour of trial that is coming upon the whole world - (see Rom.5:9, I Thess.1:10, 5:9 and John 14:1-3)

Since we are not appointed to go through God's wrath and His wrath will be in operation during the entire seven years prior to Christ's return to the earth to end the age, then believers must be removed prior to the beginning of God's tribulation.
There is no need to think men will suddenly disappear from the earth and then return later.

Two kinds of wrath's. The wrath all men are under revealed daily the first death .And the wrath at the end of the age or generation of Adam, the last day or the second death.

Generation doesn't mean race, so can the phrase "generation of Adam".

Yes it means a beginning.

Christ speaks of a evil generation that does walk by sight (no faith) the generation of natural man .In Adam all die. Unlike the generation of Christ the righteous generation as in all live forever.

No, "generation" does not mean beginning. Insisting that it does makes you look incompetent or dishonest. When Jesus mentioned an "Evil generation" he meant the people alive at his time.

Concerning no resurrection of the saints.

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

There are souls in heaven with Jesus awaiting those in the tribulation to join them in heaven, and when all the saints are with Jesus then He will come back and fight the world.

Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Act 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Act 1:12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

Jesus was standing on the Mount of Olives, and shall return and stand on the Mount of Olives when He fights the world and defeats them, and saves Israel.

Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Zec 14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

God who is Jesus shall fight against the nations that fought against Israel, and when Jesus comes all the saints are with Him so they must of been caught up to heaven to come back with Jesus.

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Again when Jesus comes back from heaven the saints are with Him so they must of been caught up to heaven to come back with Jesus.

Concerning the 70 weeks being fulfilled in the first century this is not true.

70 weeks, 490 years, are determined to get in the truth, and anoint the most holy who is Jesus.

The nation of Israel has 70 weeks to acknowledge Jesus as their Savior, but they have not done that yet, so the 70 weeks could of not been fulfilled.

69 weeks has passed, and the last week is the time that God causes all people that do not love Him to follow the beast, and when they take the mark of the beast then repentance and salvation are no longer available to them, and God will then turn Israel as a nation to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah fulfilling the 70 weeks.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Israel is blinded in part for the majority believes the Old Testament, but not the New, until salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles, and so all Israel shall be saved.

Salvation is still available to the Gentiles so Israel is still blinded in part which means that Israel as a nation does not acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah so the 70 weeks could of not been fulfilled.

The great tribulation is in the future for the last three and one half years of the 7 years period, which is the time that God will turn Israel to the truth.

The resurrection is at the end of the 7 years period those that remain on earth.

Which the beast makes war against the saints and prevails against them.

And they are given in to his hands for three and one half years.

And he will destroy the holy and mighty people.

And when he shall accomplish to scatter the power of the holy people then all things are finished, which then comes the end when the Son shall deliver up the kingdom to the Father, and all the saints are with Jesus, and the world attacks Israel and Jesus comes back with all the saints and defeats the world and saves Israel, for all Israel shall be saved.

The Faithful Church “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ The Lukewarm Church

I will keep you from the hour of trial which will come upon the whole world.

We don't go through the tribulation 😁😁

You are completely wrong. Satan loves false accusations against true adopted children of God. I know a lot more than you. I am 71-years-old and have been a Bible scholar since October 1974. I have relied on the Holy Spirit as my guide and teacher and counselor. I have no unconfessed sins in my life and again I am doing fulltime Great Commission actions. I live Jude 20-23 even in the forum.
Gee, you sound just like the Pharisee who went up to the temple saying "God, I thank You that I am not like the other men—swindlers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and pay tithes of all that I receive.’

You have been rebuked by others for your misuse of Scripture and arrogance. What is Christ-likeness? I will pray for you.
I don't care how old you are, my correction stands based on scripture. There have run across many self proclaimed scholars and theologians who are completely wrong in their interpretations and teachings. Those people who are rebuking me, as you say, are false teachers. I have also been in Christ for over 40 years and with the Holy Spirits teaching.

You copy-and-paste something you didn't understand. And, now you're using a word in a way that make you look ignorant, "generation" as a synonym for race. You should learn to put things in your own words, to show you understand what you're talking about. Or, at least show enough wit to whittle down your copy-and-paste to just the portion that supports you.

Yes those alive even today the generation of Adam (no righteousness the evil generation) and not the generation Christ in respect to His righteousness the righteous generation.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

The generation of natural man will not pass away until the end comes. Until then the letter of the law will continue to separate the goats from the sheep .

In the new heavens and earth the former things like the written law of God will not be remembered or ever come to mind.

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

I always wonder what is wrong with people's brains when the keep posting nonsense over and over, in spite of their error being pointed out.

Yeah, yeah, in Adam we "all die" that doesn't make your belief correct that the word "generation" can mean "race." While on the subject, it's also stupid to refer to humans as a race, unless you live in a fantasy world of elves and need to distinguish humans from elves. The phrase, "race of Adam" is ignorant, too, but not so ignorant as "generation of Adam."

If you want to prove "generation" can mean "race", you should post a verse that clearly uses generation to mean race. When Jesus speaks of an evil generation, he clearly means the Jews alive at his time.
