Can a Christian be sinless, perfect?

I believe we are to strive to be like God, and not actually be perfect, as we are told, none of us are righteous.
God tells us those who desire righteousness, and seek His face, are saved. Not those who have lived a righteous life from birth.
I believe God is mostly concerned about where your heart lies. With Him, or with earthly things.

That is because the word perfect means complete.....there is not a just man upon the earth that does good and sins not....many thin they are above this...during the days of Jesus it was the Pharisees...today it is those who believe they can loose their salvation, salvtion which is kept and maintained by their righteous works......!

Why should the goal of any Christian be anything less? The goal has been set before us, what we do with it is up to us. If we are going to look to or at ourselves we will most certainly never attain it. Consider the implications of a lesser goal set before those who would be the literal flesh and blood sons and daughters of God throughout the endless ages of eternity.
well, as yahshua said to be perfect, look in scripture to see who he says was perfect..... (a lot of people will still be upset, like the fat woman who the doctor told would have to give up chocolate ice cream and vanilla shakes; she didn't go back to him, did not do what he said to do, and got worse and worse blood sugar and other troubles, then diabetes, then died; all because she wasn't 'perfect' - she didn't do what the truthful doctor told her to do that would have saved her life).

No. If it were possible then Jesus Christ would NOT have died on the Cross. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 "... for all have sinned and fallen short of The Glory of God". Every human being that is descended from Adam and Eve is born with an inherent fallen nature. Jesus is The Lamb of God that was sacrificed to free mankind from the power of sin and the curse of death.
You are right, we are asked to be perfect. But, we are told that those who desire to be righteous are saved. God tells us Himself, none of us are righteous. I think that line you mention is definitely a guideline, but at the same time, if we could be that way, would we have needed a savior? I think thats definitely Gods wish for us, but not the key to salvation.
Our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, by offering Himself as a perfect and sufficient sacrifice, has given us a perfect salvation.
His salvation not only includes forgiveness of sins but also saving us from sinning. When a person is in Christ he is a new creation. His spirit soul and body are made new and righteous with God's righteousness. When a christian lives a life surrendered to God , God's Righteousness and God's Spirit will drive his spirit soul and body in paths of righteousness.

You will understand that when we are in Christ, our body of sin is crucified with Christ, and we now have body which is driven by God' righteousness.
In Romans chapter seven we see Paul struggling with sin because till then he believed that he was carnal, sold under sin.(Romans7:14) Only when he understood in Romans chapter eight that his body of sin has been crucified with Christ and he now has a body driven by God's righteousness and God's Spirit was he able to live a victorious life
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:10,11)
From the above verses, we see that when Christ lives in us
1. The sinful body dies
2. God's righteousness is imputed to us
3. The Spirit of God lives inside us because of God's righteousness.
4. The Spirit will restore to life our body
So, when Christ lives in us
1.The body of sin is dead
2. The body with God's righteousness imputed is raised up by the Spirit of God who lives in our body because of God's righteousness.
so our body is now driven by the immeasurably powerful God's righteousness and God's Spirit, not by sin (we need to believe this truth to walk in victory over sin)
Hence we see that
you were slaves of sin (Romans 6:17)
Having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness(Romans 6:18)
Having been set free from sin, have become slaves of God( Romans 6:22)
Our saviour Lord Jesus Christ had suffered so much for us to offer us this mighty salvation. Let us live to reflect our Father's glory to the world.

Yes, really. I believe it is possible for a Christian to go a whole day without sinning, even a whole year. But we won't live this life without sinning ever. And once you sin even once, you are a sinner. It only takes one sin to keep you out of heaven, if it's not covered by Christ's blood. But Christians can stop sinning, I quit the sin of smoking, I quit the sin of swearing, I quit the sin of many things. I will never return to them. It is not a contradiction- no one is good and perfect accept God, and when we put on God we are made good and perfect just as He is. With grace we are perfect, blameless, and yes even sinless (amen) because the blood washes our sins away, they no longer exist, if we remain in contact with that Blood. God does not tell us to do something that is impossible to do, I can do all things through Christ Who gives me strength.

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
