At the beginning the sun was colder, and is warming up until will became a red Giant, that is when the Sun will destroy the earth, but by them humans will have mastered hot or cold fusion and create energy that will allow us to live in space. or move to another planet.

6000 years is not possible. is too short for the events recorded in the fossil record, and the millions of species that live and have lived in this planet.

Evolution has been proved 100%, and in my view is the way God created the life in this planet, where evolution fails is when explains the creation of a cell, a cell is a system with hundreds or thousands of parts and to be formed by accident is in reality impossible, so God created cells and allow them to grow and populate the earth.

I am going against the old testament? Unfortunately yes. I do not believe in old testament as a literal story of creation. the old Testament is a mix of legends and history of people in the Israel area.

Sort of depends on which account you accept as truth doesn't it. The inspired, revealed account from God or the interpretation of the material evidence from the scientific community. One is true, the other is a lie.

All SCRIPTURE is given by Inspiration of God, and is Profitable for Doctrine, for Reproof, for Correction, for instruction in Righteousness:

2 Timothy 3

---------> OT - NT ALL given by Inspiration by God.... looks like ye might have to trade in your 'stones' for SOME INSPIRATION?? EH? do those pockets of Un belief go purdy deep? mmmmmm Un belief... so much of that.. Maybe God can Inspire you someday unto the Truth.. until then, un belief will continue to deepen those pockets, and that is not a GOOD THING! indeed!

The age of the Earth that one (a Christian that is) holds to depends upon how that individual interprets Gen 1v1,2...

Is there or is there not a gap (of time) between Gen 1v1 and 1v2?

Why would you assume there is a gap?

I never said there was a gap, I simply said it all depends how a person interprets that portion of Scripture, whether with it or without it!

That still would not explain the remaining account of Gen 1 where the time element of the creation of the universe is established. I would suggest that anyone who attempts to force a gap between the first two verse is not being honest with the text.

Well "one" could also say that that charge could also be levelled at those who say there is no gap (between Gen 1v1 &2) by the fact they don't refer to the other portions of Scripture that deal with creation when finalising their belief on creation...

It's all so "individual" I think...

I digress!

Remove the individual interpretation factor and rely simply on the language of the text. What does the text say?

Gen 1,2 & 3, is not the only Scripture dealing with creation and to ignore the other Scripture dealing with it will lead "one" to a wrong final belief on it...period!

"One" can't cherry pick the Scriptures on creation (or any other Scriptural subject) that "one" happens to like and ignore the others on that subject!

"One" needs to rightly divide the Word of Truth. 2Tim 2v15

Simples...

I am not suggesting cherry picking or ignoring other passage that refer to creation. I am simply suggesting that one must begin to understand ANY text of scripture by examining the grammatical structure of the text as God has given it. Truth is in the grammatical structure of the text.

With that argument you will have to completely negate God, the reality of evolution is every where, is there when you go to put gasoline in your car, or buy gas for cooking, or coal for heating, the geology of the earth is there like a living testament of the earth old age, the Glaciers, the continents, how America (south) fit perfectly on Africa, shows how the continents moved slowly, the fauna, the marsupials. bones, human bones with primitive resemblance, Neanderthal DNA, People accept DNA to solve a crime but when talks about evolution is bullshit. that is double standards. you yes can and should have faith, but close mind, to accept dogma, just because is dogma.... NO!

God exists and created every thing not in the OT way, but did created all things.

If evolutionary theory is true then the Bible is a lie. Since the Bible is the linguistic representation of the mind of God this makes God a liar because what he has said about causation is complete contradiction to evolutionary theory in all of its forms. One is true, the other is a lie.

Have you read Genesis? is a mythology, I have read it hundreds of times, and more I read the more I see is the image of a cosmo-vision of a culture a legend, for example it says God created men in his image and likeness, but NT say God is spirit.
NT says no one has seen God, but Adam, Abel, Cain, Jacob, Abraham, Moses declare to have seen God face to face. even had arguments and struggle with God like Jacob when he becomes Israel.
All the curses like the curse on Noa over the Canaanite people, is to show and justify Israel.
God lower himself to cultural practices and tolerate horrible things like slavery, war prisoners rape etc.
All this only makes sense when you think in the OT as a symbolic book, in which moral teachings are given mix with the legends and self existentialist justification of the actions of the people of Israel.

I hate to say this, but is the mind of GOD is like the OT, It must be in antiphysicotics.

Wow, you really have a rather dyadic understand of these verses and your lack of familiarity or at least application of the original language of the NT is quite evident. Which one of these ides do you want to start with?
