Did you know that the the enemies of the cross of Christ in Philippians 3.18 are actually believers and are part of the body of Christ? That might be shocking to you; that someone who is a believer can also be an enemy of the cross. Take note, the verse is not saying that they are an enemy of Christ, but that they are enemies of the Cross - as in preaching the wrong gospel. Which is Israels gospel or Peter's gospel. Don't mix Peter's gospel with Paul's gospel. Here is the video to help you understand. If you would like to have a discussion, watch the video. Otherwise I will not be responding to you.

"...(For many walk, of whom I have told you often..." The previous verse address these passages that they are believers. He calls them brethren. This is why Paul states 'for many walk.' Many Christians walk, as saved people, in the wrong doctrines of this dispensation of Grace. That should be an eye opener for you!

I agree. Expecting us to watch 2 hours of video is ridiculously unrealistic!

there is one gospel. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Paul, Peter, James and John, and myself. we were all saved the same way, The cross is the means to eternal life for all.

this dual gospel theology is not from God. An enemy of the cross is an enemy of Christ, Because Christ is the cross..

My apologies: this video is only one and a third hours (22 seconds short of eighty minutes).
It was the other thread where you demanded we watch two hours of video before you would
condescend to discuss with us on these discussion boards. Presenting your ideas a bit at a time
is far more conducive to developing any kind of relationship with the people here :)

why do you demand we watch your videos to discuss these matters? You say you want to teach us and give us answers yet only on the condition that we abide by your conditions. This is not how teaching works it must not be that important for you to teach us if this is the case

The verse says enemies of the cross are believers; saved people!

Brethren (saved people), be followers together of me (Paul), and mark them which walk (them which walk are brethren) so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that THEY are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

So my point stands still and true. The question was, did you know you could be an enemy of the Cross-work? That's why I posted the video. So you could understand right division! My post isn't to convince anybody. It's to help those who want and have the time to give God's word the diligence it deserves. If 2 hours of TV is worth your time, but 2 hours of study in God's word isn't, than this seriously isn't for you. Why waste your time with complaints on this post lol? Just move on haha.

I take it when you were reading Philippians 3:18, you also read v2?

And a believer cannot be an enemy of God for they are indwelt by the Spirit, hearts renewed and live for Christ.

An enemy of the cross is an enemy of God...you do know that Jesus is God? If you are an enemy of Christs atoning work on the cross then you are an enemy...therefore not a believer as you are trying very hard to imply..quite simple really.

This may come to a surprise to you but many of us are studying his word as we speak, even when i am on cc I am constantly studying his word constantly seeking his heart constantly speaking with him as many here do as well. Don't assume you think you know the depth of his word that is studied by the people here

They are Jews, trying to enforce circumcision on people for salvation, Paul in Galatians calls them fools. In passage, paul calls them Dogs, Evil workers..These same people also crucified christ.

Now you want to say they are not enemies of Christ?

You have some learning to do my friend.

Careful. I never said a believer was an enemy of GOD. I said a believer can be an enemy of the cross of Christ. See, your response is why you don't know this. You aren't even reading the verse for what it says. Read the verse carefully. It says enemy of the CROSS not and enemy of CHRIST. I'll re-quote what I said.

"Take note, the verse is not saying that they are an enemy of Christ, but that they are enemies of the Cross - as in preaching the wrong gospel."

I even said in the original post to TAKE NOTE.

You clearly haven't watched the video, because that argument you just made is one of the first things put to rest lol. I will only be responding to people who watch the video. You don't want to learn; you want to cause strife. ;P

Are you teachable? If yes, please take to heart the many who have pointed out that the proper way to go about having a discussion on a discussion forum does not begin by demanding we watch an hour or two hours of video.

Nor do I ever plan to. If YOU want to discuss it, lets discuss it, I am not here to discuss whayt some person who is not even here has to say.

because that argument you just made is one of the first things put to rest lol.
HA HA HA..

This makes me want to watch the video even less.. Put to rest? Na, Just stop listening to men, and look at the passage, it is plainly seen.

I will only be responding to people who watch the video. You don't want to learn; you want to cause strife. ;P
excuse me sir, you are the one causing strife and demanding. I think it is clear to everyone you have no desire to learn, you want to push your agenda.. and your doctrine.

If you do not want to discuss, just say so. (although i think from the responses, everyone has pretty much determined that to be the case.

I agree that we sometimes "see" something being written and we think or interpret it as something else.

There is a distinction in the wording between being an enemy of the cross of Christ and an enemy of Christ. What is the difference in your thoughts in this wording?

Most people don't have time nor the inclination to watch a random video that someone puts up. I watch a lot of teaching videos but don't expect others to. That is between them and their Lord. He has "the way that they are to go with their walk with Him".

I too like to put up videos that have helped me to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and if people are interested they can watch - if not...cool too. I leave things like that in the hands of the Holy Spirit.

So, in a nutshell - what is the difference between being an enemy of the cross of Christ and being an enemy of Christ Himself? I'm assuming it is that they are preaching a different gospel than what Paul was preaching?

Ahh, I think you did..here is what you say in your thread title 'Are you a BELIEVER who is also an enemy of the Cross of Christ???' , Implying that some Christians are..which is a falicy.

And its been showen to you that a believer cannot be an enemy of the cross.. be careful in what you teach. And I explained if you are an enemy of the cross then you are an enemy of Jesus. Therefore not a Christian.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Matt 16:24.
As I said have you read Philippians, or did you just read 3:18. Verse 2 gives you the answer .

Gave you read:

But as for me, may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians 6:14

I could not have said it better myself and you would think what you said is the obvious. I guess some people think posting a video is offensive lol? Everything in the video I stand behind, so it's no different if I say it or another does. The person in the video simply says it better than I ever could!

To answer your question, which is actually answered in the video, is that yes the people who are saved and are enemies of the cross are believers who do not follow Paul and the mystery revelation given only to him. Rom 16.25, Eph 3.3-7, 1 Cor 2.6-8, Col 1.25-26, Eph 3.9-10, Gal 1.11-12. <--Those verses state that Paul was given a completely new message, not found anywhere else in the bible. So when people say that Peter has the same gospel as Paul, is not correct. Because Paul says his gospel was a MYSTERY!

"But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."

" And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel..."
