A member of my family had got involved with an organization that does door to door witnessing, and many "works". She was ill and was hospitalized and her son bought her a little glass sculpture that had a cross inside it.

The family member loved it but when other members visited...there was actually an aversion to the cross and and my family member was told to get rid of it.

That began the end of the involvement with that organization.

The scripture says those who live just an earthly life...not out of heaven. Out of heaven is walking in the Spirit of God which no man can unless our earthly life is replaced by the life through Jesus.

Wouldn't this be anyone who does not believe that Jesus is Lord? Who has not surrendered their life for His?

God says there must be heresies among us so that the truth can be made evident. So, in that sense, yes error must exist. I don't base my beliefs on my own opinions. I believe what the bible says, and I follow that. So no, your argument isn't based on reality dealing with me. If you want to have a conversation, watch the video. Otherwise you have no arguments. You are just arguing with yourself because you don't even know my position!
And you know I DON'T KNOW your position, HOW?....LOL! (I'm all ears)

I find it strange that you can find a way to divide what scripture says. The quotes provided are simple enough. Paul and Peter preach the same gospel (Peter says so).

Could you explain how Peter rightly 'divides Paul's writings (using scripture)

When Peter wrote to his audience he was answering specific points. Obviously his readers had read Paul's writings (or some of them) and that is why Peter replied to his audience to show that some things Paul says are not easy to understand.. All Christians experience this. When refer to scriptures perspicuity not all things are straight away clear,,, but the gospel is to all. Thats is the one Gospel throughout all scripture.

I do like the warning Peter gives regarding the ignorant and unstable people distort.(unlearned and unstable wrest). That should be a warning enough for you.

I'l repost the scripture for you.

And just to further show how wrong you are 'Roman' regarding 2 gospels.

6 The apostles and elders met to consider this question.7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.9 He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

Acts 15:6ff

4So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

2 Peter 3:14-16

I believe your views are unsubstantiated, distorting scripture and a quack fringe movement, which is dangerous to Christians and to those who need to hear the gospel and the whole counsel of God. Not some nut job hyper dispensationalism, mixed with the King James only cult!

Dangerous teachings indeed.
If you want to have a discussion. Watch the video! Otherwise you have no arguments! You are only arguing with yourself and that's just silly.

I wouldn't conflate justification and sanctification with our walk. Salvation and sanctification comes by believing and trusting the gospel given to Paul. That's our dispensation (dispensing of instructions) from God. Israel had a different set of 'rules' or dispensation to follow to be saved. They had to perform and show to God their belief. Our belief comes by believing in what we have not seen, so to speak. What you described is trying to perfect the flesh. But God has something to say about a Christian who want's to do that.

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

You see, people who think they are going to perfect their flesh after already having the perfect righteousness of Christ bestowed upon them, are foolish according to God. Hence, are you going to perfect the flesh after you have already been given perfection? Our works cannot save us. Christ's works saves us. Salvation comes from believing and trusting in that. Works come afterwards and only pertain to reward and inheritance. I will leave a good video on salvation if you care to watch. It's about 25m long.

I agree with what you say in this last post Roman...but the scripture that you presented in your OP, says in the greek it is those who are hostile to the Cross.

I don't think the brethren in Galatians were hostile to the Cross unless the meaning of hostile is different than how I think it is.

Paul said they were false brether which I would think is their belief was still mixing law and grace.

Much like all of us will naturally do. By our fallen nature I mean.

We have the fire and brimstone preachers who scare us into heaven...that's hard to overcome and is only by truth overcoming error that we can escape.

Paul heard the truth directly by Jesus but it took him 14 years I think it was for him to be able to preach it. If I read that correctly.

This just warmed-over "gnosticism" -- Sin all you want, go to heaven.

Good luck.

When we preach the gospel of the grace of Christ and no one says "What?...are you saying we can just go out and sin because of grace?" - if no one says that to us when we are preaching the grace of God. Then we have not preached the gospel like Paul did.

The very nature of the gospel leads the carnal mind to think that it means we can sin all we want because of grace and this is also what the natural mind that some Christians live by...which is what they hear when they hear the true gospel being preached that grace believers are saying it's ok to sin all you want now because of grace.

The reality is what is being said is the complete opposite of what those listening with their natural minds think is being said.

We don't need to water down the gospel because it might get mis-understood as it takes away the full strength of the completed and awesome work that our Lord Jesus Christ did for all of us.

The answer to shall we sin so that grace may abound is in Romans chapters 6 and 7. Then chapter 8 shows us how to walk by the spirit.

I watched the first entire video. It actually cleared up a few questions I had about baptism. I couldn't reconcile Peters repent and be baptized versus Paul's saying he came not to baptize. There were other things too. So, thanks for posting. It's a great video.

Ricky had made a post saying about the same thing, but am not sure where. Am going to search for it to compare.

I see nothing wrong...it's right out of the scriptures. Hes a good teacher.

Also, about what you said. "It's right out of the scriptures." Lol. Exactly. People don't like to just read the verse and take it for what it says. They have to find things to make it say something it doesn't. See this all the time!

So people in the comments who are mad because they can't see the truths aren't reading the scriptures lol. It's right there! And I always post it for them. But this is why most people don't know these truths. Because they have sacred cows they aren't willing to give up. And these truths will slaughter their sacred cows. They have world views they've had their whole lives and they aren't about to admit they have been wrong their whole lives now. I notice many of the people responding negatively and rudely are much older people. Which is typical with these teachings by the way. Not always, but usually. They are usually the hardest to get these doctrines into because they have, most likely, been in their traditions for 30-40 years!

It's easy to gloss over scriptures and not actually consider all that is being said. Especially with the KJV. I followed with the Amplified and it was much easier to see what he was saying.

Its the message of grace. Perhaps hidden in the past because of the preaching of sin. Things are changing...but as often said...people don't like change. Revelation of truth seems to be viewed suspiciously until the Lord takes away the initial confusion, and refusal.

I'm willing to look at other videos. And I hope you find the stamina to withstand the opposition. In His grace. Blessings.
