Kote, a lot of people world wide who claim Christ celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus.. I for one do not as I do not believe you can "Christianize" a ex Babylonian-Pagan-Catholicized holy day, as that which is crooked cannot be made straight. I know I will catch it for saying that, but the truth is the truth. Read Jeremiah 10:1-8 which describes accurately the practice of sun worship, the cutting down of a tree, nailing it up right and decking it with Gold and Silver. This practice goes all of the way back to the beginning of the worship of the sun, hence being centered around the winter solstice. The R.C.C. teaches a form of church salvation and wanted to get as many pagans in as possible. Hence Christ Mass! The same was done with the worship of fertility gods and it being tied to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, and contrary to the King James translators the word Easter in Acts 12:4 is Passover.

It ws when the Roman census was proclaimed.
No Roman emperor would make a census in dead winter on shortest day of the year.

Census was likely right after the harvest
On Jesus thirtieth birthday he attended the wedding in Canaa with grape juice
thats when they had weddings

It makes the most sens about september since John the Baptist was three months older and started baptising on his birthday in the spring

All Hebrew Jews began their ministries o their thirtieth birthday.

Apparently there is nothing wrong with the commercialization of Christmas? I guess the hoopla over holiday sales is just that...Hoopla then...

Christmas was the birthday of TAMMUZ the son of the pagan sun God NIMROD and Semiramis pagan sunday sun worshippers.
the Roman empire was total pagan and it took over part of the church and killed three nations men woman and children who would not convert to sunday worship.
Heruli vandals and ostrogoths.
all dead. the other seven nations became universalists so the ten horns, three were torn out in book of Daniel.

So christmas is pagan holiday renamed to make you feel good.

The pagans are all about commercialism.
I would expect it.
I dont see how they got Jesus associated with it though, since it wasn't his birthday.

Lev. 23:15 “‘From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. 16 Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord. 17 From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of first-fruits to the Lord. 18 Present with this bread seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect, one young bull and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the Lord, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings—a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 19 Then sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering and two lambs, each a year old, for a fellowship offering. 20 The priest is to wave the two lambs before the Lord as a wave offering, together with the bread of the first-fruits. They are a sacred offering to the Lord for the priest. 21 On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly and do no regular work. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.22 “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you. I am the Lord your God.’”

Matthew 15:27

“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

Luke 10:17
The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

Luke 2:8
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.

The "lambing season" is directly relevant ,like all mammals reproduction,to the time of mating. This only occurs naturally in the sheep world with the declining day light in the autumn. The reason being that, in the evolutionary world, the offspring would appear in the spring when the grass starts to grow in order to feed the mother ewe so milk production is maximised. The exception to this is the Dorset horn breed of sheep that is capable of breeding at any time of the year for reasons unknown. The gestation period of sheep is 147 days +/- 5 days.

Hebrew Ābhībh, literally, ear of grain Abib - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Abib 'abib (Hebrew) [from the verbal root abab to be fresh, green; to blossom, bear fruit] Ear or sprout (of grain); first month of the Hebrew sacred year, equivalent to March-April and beginning with the new moon. Hodesh ha-'abib was the "month of green corn"; later, after the exile, called Nisan during which the vernal equinox was celebrated.

On the 17th day of the Nisan moon the firstfruits of the barley harvest was gathered and waved before the Lord in celebration. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS

The Biblical year begins with the first New Moon after the barley in Israel reaches the stage in its ripeness called Abib. The period between one year and the next is either 12 or 13 lunar months. Because of this, it is important to check the state of the Barley crops at the end of the 12th month. If the barley is Abib at this time, then the following New Moon is Hodesh Ha-Aviv ("New Moon of the Abib"). If the barley is still immature, we must wait another month and then check the barley again at the end of the 13th month.By convention, a 12-month year is referred to as a Regular Year while a 13th month year is referred to as a Leap Year. This should not be confused with Leap Years in the Gregorian (Christian) Calendar, which involve the "intercalation" (addition) of a single day (Feb. 29). In contrast, the Biblical Leap Year involves the intercalation of an entire lunar month ("Thirteenth Month", also called "Adar Bet"). In general, it can only be determined whether a year is a Leap Year a few days before the end of the 12th Month.
Abib (Barley) in the Hebrew Bible

Wheat prefers a nearly neutral soil (about 6.4 pH), and does best with a cool, moist growing season followed by warm, dry weather for ripening.

Exodus 23:16
“Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field. “Celebrate the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field.

but what do you think about it..
I think that I should keep the days God calls His Feasts (Lev 23) and that I should not keep the days the heathen keep...

Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
Jer 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Jer 10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

What do you think?

hello everyone, I would like to understand why...
Well, Jesus is the most important person ever to be born upon Earth because Jesus was born to be King of the Universe, and Savior of all inhabitant of the World.

Jesus is the most famous person in Heaven and in all human history because with His bare hands, Jesus managed to make the blind see, the cripple to walk, the deaf to hear, the mute to speak, and Jesus brought everlasting hope to the hopeless like you and I; Jesus came to set the captives free and to provide access to the Kingdom of God. Jesus came to give you everlasting life.

Jesus is also very famous for always telling the truth, for predicting the future as a sign of God's awesomeness in Him, for proclaiming God's year of Jubilee, and for restoring life back to dead people.

These are just a few of the
reasons why people around the world rejoice for the birth of such a wonderfully marvelous holy Man. :)

What else would you like to know about Jesus? :)

in my country, some people "teach" that jesus was born on that day.
but i know they are wrong, the one who takes part in this celebration is living in APOSTASY, because they are celebrating the birth of
TAMMUZ.
all my country is contaminated by this demonic-teaching,
blessed the one who do not takes part of it,

I remember God saying in HIS word not take the practices of the heathens and offer it to HIM.

Deut 12: 3 And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. 4You shall not worship the Lordyour God with such things.

29 “When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ 31 You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Basically that's what we do with Christmas. We like the way the pagans celebrate so we copy.

But we have to love GOD more than the traditions of men.

[h=3]The Birth of Christ[/h]This research paper was design to edify anyone with an open mind and to help understand the birth of Christ. -Author: WebMaster

Research broken down into 4 steps:

Step 1 - Will give us an idea of which month is the first month of the Biblical calendar. With this in mind, it will help us calculate the month of Christ's birth.

Step 2 - Shows that Christ is six months younger than his cousin John the Baptist. Elisabeth (John the Baptist's mother) became pregnant during the time her husband served as priest. We will link this time to the Old Testament to find out what month that is.

Step 3 - Knowing the time of year that both Mary and Elisabeth (cousins) became pregnant, we then calculate the birth of Christ.

Summary - This will summarize the entire research.

[h=3]1. The beginning of the Biblical year[/h]A. Our modern day calendar starts with January which is the middle of winter. According to history, late March to early April is the first of the year, which is around springtime.

March (month), third month of the Gregorian year, according to the present calendar. March was the first month of the Roman year, named for Mars, the god of war. In England, until the Gregorian calendar was adopted in 1752, March was considered the first month with the legal year beginning on March 25. -MS Bookshelf 98

Months names and definition (according to the American Heritage Dictionary):

December

This table shows that December (the last month of our modern day calendar) is really the 10th month of the Biblical calendar. This will then make January and February the 2 last months of the year. March will then fall in the place of the first month of the year.

B. According to Biblical times, the first month given to the Children of Israel is called Abib or which is now called Nisan in the Hebrew Calendar. This month is a remembrance to them when God took them out of the land of Egypt and into the Promise Land. This they would have to do every year as the Passover.

Exodus 13:4
This day came ye out in the month Abib.

Exodus 23:15
Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

Exodus 34:18
The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib : for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.

Leviticus 23:5
In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover.

Deuteronomy 16:1
Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.

With our modern day calendar, Easter and Passover are celebrated during the months of late March and early April.

[h=3]2. Linking the births to the Old Testament[/h]Now having an idea of when the new year begins, throughout the course of time, Christ was born at a certain time of the year. Christ was 6 months younger than John "The Baptist" (his cousin). John was conceived around the time when his father Zacharias completed his term in office as priest.

Luke 1:5
There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

This chart shows us how King David divided up the priest's office accordingly, starting from the beginning of the year to the end. Zacharias served the 8th term of the year, which was around the time of early July.
