You know the answer--He has two wills. You knowingly choose "simiel" as a name, and even went so far on another thread when someone questioned it to give the more common rendering of the Talmudic name "samael" -- the angel of death, as well as Esau's guardian. Why pick a name that has to do with the destructive will of God? Why come to CC chat with a purpose of causing dissension? You have your two followers: Cobus and GiS--nice job. I believe GiS even called you a "teacher". We all are and have a body of work. Your's looks like this: "Anyone heal anyone at Walmart lately?" Do you see how you were trolling/fishing? With great power comes responsibility. 1) I don't think you show yourself responsible or even cognizant of how you represent your faith, and how disrespectful it comes at followers of Christ. You know the answer to the question--God hated Esau. Does God make people sick? He hardens hearts. He stops people from perceiving. He sends the angel of death, or "you" if you want to be your moniker.

Just curious where it say Samael is an angel or is the guardian angel of Esau? (I don't beleive in guardian angels personally.) Or even that it is the name of the angel of Death. I thought someone said Samael=Samuel. I could be wrong. Does anyone know what it means etymology wise? My understanding of the Bible is that all such names are suppose to be titles rather than names. I am honestly just curious on this regard.
Maybe whether it is good or bad, let me ask this question in all objectivity; why did you pick that name Simiel?

And I was quoting Psalm 22:6 before. No man can come to God upright. My understanding of Matt 16:24 is in the word "doulos". Denial of self to pursue willful servitude of the Most High. This is the same spirit I perceive in the apostles. I pray that I will always follow and serve God's call in this manner...humbly, lowly, a saved sinner undeserving of His grace.

@38miles Please don't lash or self-mutilate yourself, for that is not good for you nor is it biblically sound. If you must chastise yourself, like you pointed out in those goodly scriptures, just deny yourself whatever pleasure, put on the sackcloth literal or metaphorical. I don't want you harmed. Simiel can be spelled many different ways and each spelling have its own meaning. I liked the way the named sound that's why I chose it.
You should watch what you say wanderer for you speak judgment upon yourself.
I see you didn't answer my question about if you had children... God only has one will and that is life and that in abundance.

Understand brother I am not judging you by your name or your fruit. You did state in the other thread that another way to spell it is Samael.

1 we are not judging your name but asking why a Christian would choose a name that comes from another religion, and every way you spell it is evil. why as a Christian would you us it? why don't you change it now that you know it is evil in origin?

By the grace of Jesus anyone can be saved by His Name. I am not asking you to change your screen name but you must be honest with me brother, I do love you. I do not want you to fall into that woman's mystery and I will pray for you to get closer to Jesus.
