When you started this thread, you brought in the word "pride." I stay away from all things with that label. I have searched God's word to see if there was any pride expressed as good. I found none. We should seek honor, not pride. I would restate it like: What flaw do you have that you like.

My answer to that is: My stubbornness that I work to my advantage sometimes. ;)

Talking too much.

I'm pretty sure this is being slowly worked out of me because I am more judicious about certain topics and no longer go with the phrase "I don't think I should talk about/tell you...but..." and then proceed to illuminate a potentially dangerous topic just because I have the information/insight. Fortunately I do FAR less of that and the opportunities rarely come up anymore :)

I've also felt a stout bit of condemnation/criticism from myself about it. There was a time I felt like even the Lord wanted me to "talk less" and it felt kind of harsh...but I get it. There is a time and a place for certain things. Sometimes not at all. If you talk people to death it turns them off.

I had a dose of it on the other side and I while I am also a pretty patient listener it can be exhausting if you are just listening to a massive string of someone's stream of consciousness.

So I'm on the fence on whether it's a flaw or not but definitely a learning process.

Sin appears to be a flaw however since this is BDF.
It's something that I am at a loss to explain. I understand the fall is what brought it in but even among righteous men (or those imputed righteousness) the flaw/anomaly still exists. Its power may be broken or defeated in the life of a believer but as a construct its effects are still felt. Kind of like spiritual grime (like being dirty and needing a bath)... Would be an interesting discussion...
😉😉

even prayer request forums and testimony forums have flaws
even if we don't see those flaws yet
I agree! Think on this! How may we turn that flaw,or something we see as negative into something positive. To be proud of....love will truly cover a MULTITUDE of flaws. We MUST look thru eyes of Gods pure love to see clearly exactly what others are saying!🙏

bdf is definitely riddled with flaws, ask anyone here, everyone can testify to that

how can we see those flaws in bdf as strengths?

rich in controversal knowledge
challenging to simplifying the pattern of debate

a good treadmill to exercise one's EQ (kind of like how someone claim the 70's majong would do, test someone's EQ)

3 main types, the people pleaser, the steadfast "stamp the truth as bluntly and forcefully as possible", and those who just "spread the gospel" <-- the 3 main types was analyzed by EG, credit to eternally_greatful

it's can be a good sparring simulator, and a street simulator, etc.
well sort of, trying to look for the positives here

This is how I chose to look at bdf. None of us has attained heaven yet, we are ALL still growing, even those who wont admit it. Some act like babiez, crying all the time, some are toddlers learning to stand and walk. Some are experiencing teen...rebellious,know it all, young adult sorta kinda have a grip, then mature christian stage. Finally we finish with SEASONED,MATURE,FULL GROWN UP PARTAKERS IN THE KINGDOM!. WE HAVE TOO TAKE ALL THESE COLLECTIVE FLAWS .look for the growth in one another...in love. Then give it all to God!🙏
