let's face it

some folks were born offended

some folks think they need to be offended to prove how religious they are

some folks act offended and secretly giggle like a girl

some folks CAUSE the offense just because they want to disagree with everyone

I could go on, but I bet y'all can think up some yourselves

Here's a little guy everyone can use in case somebody somewhere is/gets/wants to be/ is in a constant state of/desires to be.........offended/offence

Sometimes I think we make the Godly relationship between husbands and wives much too complex. Simply put:

The husband is the head of the wife, and the wife is the heart of the husband. Love is the blood that connects the head and heart. The head and the heart must work together or the body (husband and wife joined together as one) will die. Remember, a body can not have two heads and no heart, or two hearts and no head. Without blood (love) the even a working head and heart will not survive.

Still haven't heard but saw the video. He grabs her by the arm roughly. If my husband did that to me he'd get a poke in the eyes. And yes,I have long,natural nails and know how to use them.

They are both offensive. I'm a long way from PC and I dont get offended over nothing. In the video the man grabs her arm roughly when she gives her opinion.Everyones head goes down at the table as he pushes her from the room. The picture is basically the same,women should shut up.The tape is bad enough but the bondage of the hands is far worse. In an age when we are always trying to put into young girls heads not to stay with abusive boyfriends, well both these send a terrible message and are in very poor taste.

I am the head of my family, but I'm not a dictator -- I just have the last word. I never make any important decision without first discussing it with my wife. It's just like in an airplane: The captain has the final authority, but he must listen to his co-pilot.

Males - fight or flight
Females - tend and befriend

Females top body strength is 40% less than males.
In pure simple conflict situations women tend to loose out. Women are constantly vulnerable to abuse from men, and constantly have to learn tactics to defend themselves against unwanted attention.

This is just the brutal social reality. In modern society, rights, opportunity can be made equal, but women can only give birth, men cannot. The whole way men and women mature, deal with issues, relate emotionally and to task generally are different in emphasis.

I have worked for women, and had women work for me. As long as you can cope with the differences, you can work well.

As christians a husband is called to look at their wife as like Jesus does the church and give their life for them, love them, meet their needs and serve them. This is not about domination but mutual communication and fellowship. Unfortunately not many men and women see this as the reality.

I apologize to you and anyone else I offended. That was not my intent, nor is it my job to judge other peoples' humor sensibilities. To me the video was unoffensive, and it was getting likes, so I went with the flow with something I think is harmless. If anyone thinks otherwise, please keep it to yourself. I've apologized, and I don't want to hear it.

If you would of have read further on down, he was leading to that they are both equals, none is greater than the other.


11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.


13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. 16 If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.

And further on...It's says...

33 So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together.

And he is not referring to food, but every words that comes from the mouth of God.

And further on down....

Corinthians 12:25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

And further on down..

1 Corinthians 14:36 Or did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anyone thinks they are a prophet or otherwise gifted by the Spirit, let them acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. 38 But if anyone ignores this, they will themselves be ignored.


Paul's main focus in this letter, that he was trying bring order in the church, that they did not know how to distinguished from right and wrong.


Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Tell me, what makes the men better than the other half of the king-priests of God's Kingdom?

This teaching comes from the way the King James was purposely written to add authority to men that doesn't belong to them by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

This submission is the type that bond-servants should have, for we are ALL called to be servants of the Lord Jesus, then to one another.

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.


A servant is lesser than their master, but friends, that they are equal to each other.

I don't see why people get so mad with the picture
the way I interpreted it was that it was made to highlight the hypocricy of sending a typical Christmas card showing the perfect family, yet revealing it is not perfect. .... maybe even as a warning that not all husbands are as good as they pretend to be in church

As for the men and women having different roles: I think that is just a society thing. There are plenty of single dads doing just as well as the single moms

I see, so you don't think God had anything to do with men and women being made differently and being able to excel better than the other gender in certain things.
I was a single dad for 7 years. Raised two daughters from the time the oldest was 12 until they both left home at 18. I did the best I could under the circumstances, but it was nothing close to what a good mother could do. Again, God made mothers to be maternal.
Friend, you should get off the computer and back in the bible until you have some understanding of things you make an effort to speak knowledgeably on.
