I find
@JohnB views refreshing.
That is fine if you do, and if I offended you, I apologize; however, refreshing is not, as I see it, biblical. When the word God never uses as a normative, "Lust " as a term for endearment or even something God approves of. Lust is contextual with sin.
It is my opinion that this kind of wishy-washy interpretation is why we have the LGBTQ trying to justify gay marriage and churches saying God approves of it.
John B said :
"I believe there will be sex in heaven. The angels in Genesis 6 desired it, the Song of Solomon is all about sex. GOD must think it's great for his creation to enjoy it. He put strict limits on it, on earth for a reason. Keeping a family together, stop the spread of STD's. That won't be a problem in heaven, we'll have new bodies."
The statement there is unbiblical. There will be no sex in Heaven. The flesh will not have that desire to do which John B. is saying because
He said:
"Keeping a family together, stop the spread of STD's."
Truth matters.
The word of God doesn't support his idea STDs happen because of fleshly activities outside the norm as the word of God says.
John's opinion which he has the right to have and believe whatever he would like about the Book of Songs of Solomon, yet it must be Biblical and true.
it is not. it is perversion :
Jesus said when asked about a wife, if she was married and her husband 1, 2, 3,, and 7 died, whose wife would she be in heaven.
Jesus said Not me, not my opinion,
Luke 20:34-35 NLT
34 Jesus replied,
“Marriage is for people here on earth. 35 But in the age to come, those worthy of being raised from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage.
Sex is for marriage and God's plan to repopulate the earth as HE said to do. It is good, and enjoy all God has to offer the Husband and wife while you can. Because the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Sorry, John B Jesus said no marriage, therefore no sex in heaven.
