John 1:1-14 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [SUP]2 [/SUP]The same was in the beginning with God. [SUP]3 [/SUP]All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [SUP]4 [/SUP]In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. [SUP]6 [/SUP]There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [SUP]7 [/SUP]The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. [SUP]8 [/SUP]He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. [SUP]9 [/SUP]That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. [SUP]10 [/SUP]He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. [SUP]11 [/SUP]He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [SUP]12 [/SUP]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [SUP]13 [/SUP]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Imagine the Living Word being only believed in because of what He did on Calvary, but nothing on what He said. Blasphemy! How can we NOT believe The Living Word of God?

Luke 6:46-49 (KJV)
[SUP]46 [/SUP]And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
[SUP]47 [/SUP]Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: [SUP]48 [/SUP]He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. [SUP]49 [/SUP]But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
They have made themselves broken cisterns, and follow after clouds without water. :)

Jeremiah 2:13
For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Jude 1:12

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the root

amen to that stephen. certain doctrines are like this

luke 5:31-32 "Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners << they teach this................... but omit this> > to repentance.”

hebrews 5:9 "and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation ....... <<<they teach this, and refuse this >>>for all who obey him ."

john 15:9-10 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. <<<( they happily teach this) but they consistant;y deny this >>> 10If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love."

its how the false doctrines are used to convince people that God has changed, they only believe and teach people what sounds good to the world, what sinners want to here " its okay what your doing, God no longer will judge sin, he Loves you so you dont have to obey His word".....its no different really from the garden of eden. God is saying one thing, His enemy is always ommiting and twiting what He said, in order to put people to death. so few will just accept what Jesus has made so clear. thats why you get all the theories like " well, thats pre cross, so it doesnt apply to anyone after" or well Paul has all the authority over the Church" yet, when paul is clearly saying that repentance and opbedience is required, all of the sudden, that isnt written for believers, but unbelievers. unbeleivers are required to obey, but believers they arent required anything of them or its works for salvation" there is no help when we begin with the idea that Jesus, His Life, His words, His death, and his resurrection and ascention are not what matters. His words included. if we just accept His words in the gospels as what they are, His Grace will teach us through those words. because if a person believes Him, they will then see how much he is saying, "repent and then do these other things im teaching you to actually do" because we believe Him, that will then change the futility of mans thinking, and begin to bring it into the life giving word. when the word becomes our thoughts by believing what He said, it changes minds and hearts and conforms us from inside out into the image of Jesus. it truly is about sincere belief in Jesus and everything He has said, and done. some want to be a new creation, but they do not want to be created for the purpose of doin g the good works taught by Jesus. they want to be a new creation that has no responsibility, and is free to live as they choose with no consequence to thier actions. These false doctrines feed that and blind people. if a person teaches Jesus Life, words, death and resurrection. there is truth and freedom. because that is the Only true Gospel God will ever give to save us.

Let us pray that Gods light will shine in the hearts of those who have belief, that it will lead them into the true Grace that is readily available and waiting to teach and admonish and provide growth into maturity to say to the world " JESUS the CHRIST , THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD, IS BOTH SAVIOR AND LORD. ! peace and strength to you bro, in His name alone

Its not denied. Its not refused.

Its just a question of how.

Is it by your works and strength??? No, emphatically.

Galatians 3:3 [FONT=&quot]Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

[/FONT]
I don't think you are foolish. Even though you seem to try and teach foolish things. You just don't understand yet.

Here, let me help.

Matthew 5:48 [FONT=&quot]Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

[/FONT]
That's the standard that needs to be obeyed. Anything less than that is falling short of the mark.

Can your 'obedience' or your 'keeping' of commandments approach this level of perfection? No, emphatically.

So what is the solution? Why did He tell us to do something that we can't do? Do we just try our hardest and hopefully that will be good enough?

John 15:5 [FONT=&quot]I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

[/FONT]
Do you see that? Without the Lord we can do nothing.

It doesn't mean once we come to the Lord we are then empowered to be able to keep all the commandments in the Law. It means that while we are abiding in Him, He Helps us to be Righteous. And by Help I mean He does the Work. All we are is a willing vessel.

We are no longer under the futility of working for our own righteousness. That's the good news.

Romans 31-33
[FONT=&quot]31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

There is a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is death. Which is following commandments and thinking with your own philosophy that you actually obey them.

The Lord desires mercy and not sacrifice for a reason.

Lawyers and pharisees don't like to be told that their will and strength is carnal and enmity to God. It doesn't make sense to them. They are trying so hard to keep the commandments by their own will and understanding. Galatians 3:3 and most of the rest of the bible tells you this isn't the way.

Don'tcha just love it when they declare that anyone who has accepted Christ as savior is truly saved & can't be changed, then out of the other side of their mouth say that if you add works to your salvation you're condemned to apostasy & hell?

I don't even think the pope has it both ways, LOL!

[SUP]17 [/SUP]So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

[HR][/HR]Romans 10:14 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
[HR][/HR]Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If parroting the Bible is no good, then parroting Joseph Prince & his heresy is no good either.

Don't ya just love it when people say others say things they have never said. Then attack them based on this foolish lie?

If one is continually being sanctified, then it means they are continuing to be changed. So to say we say one can not be changed, is an outright lie.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
The scriptures before did testify of Jesus Christ even as the law and prophets testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ. God testifying by the mouth of Moses that He would put his own words into the mouth of the one he raise up among them (this being Jesus Christ) who had the words of eternal life even as he himself is the eternal life that was with the Father (who said hear ye him) as did God by Moses even as Christ said to learn of him.

The apostles preached Jesus out of the law and the prophets as they gave witness to Him (and what come to pass in their day) and by the same proved Jesus Christ, although from what I understand some folks believe quoting Jesus is quoting the person of Moses (rather then the one God said by Moses that he would raise up and put His own words into his mouth) even as God said, this is "My beloved Son, hear ye Him"

These also would be scripture but even Jesus speaks of the two (me and my words)

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me,and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him:
*the word* that I have *spoken* the same shall judge him in the last day
.

Which agrees perfectly in Deut 18:18-19 a testimony to the Father having giving Christ the words to speak
even as Jesus confirms the same in
John 5:46-47 And likewise does Hebrews testify to the same Hebrews 3:5-6

Jesus having said, "the word that I have spoken the same shall judge him in the last day.
(Agreeing in
Duet 18:19)

Which also agrees in the next verse

John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me,
he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Moses being a testifmony of those things which were to be spoken after (meaning by Jesus Christ)

John 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore,
even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

He in turn accordingly in the same gave the words (God had given unto him) unto them.

John 17:8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me;and they have received them,

and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

And as he prays for them (to whom he had given the words the Father gave him) he says als

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Which would be us (who believe them) even as Hebrews confirms all the same

Hebrews 2:1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we *have heard*,
lest at any time we should let them slip
.

That which we have heard slipping,

Hebrews 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

The spoken word (John 12:48)

Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be *spoken by* the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him

Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? (also Hebrews 3:5-6)

The scriptures are awesome

I think some people think that following Christ means having Him pull you along in a wagon- no effort on your part. But then that's not the definition of follow is it?

There it is.... psychological projection, blaming others for what you do to shirk responsibility & not lose face. It's your words that is sprinkled with hatred with your mean phrases & blame game tactics.

How's that for silliness?

I think some people think that following Christ means having Him pull you along in a wagon- no effort on your part. But then that's not the definition of follow is it?
(it could feel like that if pulled along) huh?

But I think even hearing someone has more of that voice behind you showing an "opening" concerning the way to walk forward, like what is shown in Lydia even, the Lord has to open someones heart to his words (where and when spoken) and also someones example.

Isaiah 30:21 [FONT=&quot]And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [/FONT]is[FONT=&quot] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Its tougher when there is antagonism, provoking and that sort of thing, I know if I am in a bad mood and someone is like that I can relish the thought of returning the favor and walk my own tight rope but if I am not (and being watchful) and removing myself from that person (in whatever way I do that in me) I can run miles while being spit on, but I sometimes cant tell because I sort of love studying human behavior in the midst of these sort of enviroments, but it can still get to you doing that.

Okay, that was more than what I really wanted to say, but I would saying striving according to his working, he has given us power even Jesus when he was driven out into the wilderness to be tempted did so by the Spirit overcoming returing in the power of the Spirit. That is just so cool to me

Yes, there is a lot to be gleaned by looking at that time in the wilderness all through out scripture. In Moses, in Elijah, even in Paul. It was a time of being called out of the world, but also a time of fasting and of temptation and of purification. In the Exodus story it is shown as the wilderness of sin, where the children of Israel left behind all those pleasures of the flesh in Egypt to be tempted in the wilderness, as Jesus also was hungered and was tempted of sin by the Devil.

There were serpents and scorpions, as Jesus was also among the "wild beasts" in the wilderness. You also see the wilderness journey in the book of Revelation when the woman flees into the wilderness and the serpent pursues after the woman, to try to carry her away with his flood of lies and false doctrine, as in being tempted of the Devil by his brood of vipers and serpents, being many deceivers.

Jesus said when the Bridegroom would depart, then the children would fast, but just as in the wilderness journey from Egypt, and as with Elijah, and even with Paul who went into the desert place, they all would be fed with Manna come down from heaven, that angels food that nourishes the soul and strengthens the spirit. :)

Romans 10:17 (KJV)

AAMOF, Hypergracers do more parroting than anyone I know. So tell your cronies to heal themselves.

Must've hit a nerve.

Not sure what you don't agree with.

I said parroting the bible without understanding, btw. Which you just did. Again.
