It's been implied ever since I've been posting here. LOL :)
Yeah I know you are correct, but my screen capture is full right now and my ability to post them (even from what I do have) has been diminished on my own end and I didnt want to state that (to the greater number) because I might be asked for them and I like to produce those when asked and I cannot at this moment, and because I keep them (for sake of argument, and for examples for later) :)

Your post #11 on the same thing here on : Fight the good fight of faith

Read my posts again,I said we are empowered by God to be able to overcome, but you must fight and resist temptation and sin, even bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. This is only possible by being born again of God's Spirit. But you hyper-grace followers are always trying to prop up the D.I.Y. "self righteousness" straw man; that dog won't hunt with me. :)
Then this was quoted and what how "empowered by God" is twisted into "your own strength" (with the typical strawman being re propped up again) in post #66

While you fight, resist and bring into captivity in your own strength, I will be letting grace teach me to do in my Spirit what you are doing in your flesh....that is the difference between us friend, you fight from your own strength, grace teaches me and guides me to live more holy on accident than you will ever in self determined purpose...

Get off the merry go round of works and sin consciousness.....

you probably used the word "repent" which of COURSE is an evil work of the flesh......rather than the works of the flesh WE are commanded to RID OURSELVES of because of true Grace

That's you twisting what eph610 said to say that he is denying that God empowers us by his grace to transform us. I see that you haven't changed since you have been gone...oh well we still believe for the best.

True believers have a new nature. The old is passed away, With the new nature, a new child of God will start to act his new nature, and grow in that nature, The older he gets, the more he looks like his new nature.

Acting like our savior is a result of salvation, Not a pre-requisite. Like the self righteous legalists want to proclaim. And then judge us as loves of sin because we disagree.

But its ok, The pharisee did the same to Jesus. They claimed he was a lover of sin and sinners. Well of course he was, He came to save the sick, The righteous (one who does not know he is sick) does not see his need of salvation. so why bother going to them..

All very interesting I am sure. But the fact is that label “Christian" was applied to believers by others because we were considered Christ-ones, ones of Christ. And we took it as a badge of honor and have worn it proudly ever since.

Something actually interesting and relevant is that it was in Antioch. We believers in Jesus Christ were first called Christians in Antioch. It is not mere coincidence, but it was by design that Christianity was given form at Antioch not Jerusalem. Can you guess why??
Bc it was at Antioch that Paul started preaching the revelation of the inChrist message. According to historical sources, the church at Antioch was dying so Barnabas went looking for Paul and when he came he Talk the revelation of Christ in us

I missed this post, I had been watching some videos as of late and was running into what they call "trigger" words, but moreso in the political arena of things where certain words set folks off, and I thought as I watched that its true that some folks really do seem to have the same trigger reflex to words/verses in the scripture in the religious arena of things also.

What they themselves knee jerk over and sort of victimize others for simply quoting them, on the one part its more mans words (in the secular sphere of things) and in the other its Gods words (in the religious sphere of things) making offenders for words and getting all offended over the use of the same. I believe it.

the gog doctrine omits the light.......its like reading in the dark. the whole doctrine is based on the fact that Jesus words simply are "for others" paul is the only authority, yet pauls teachings are all founded on and reflect the same things Jesus taught , but...everything paul says of repentance, obedience or the coming judgement... is somehow "written to others" or simply misunderstood. it really is the false doctrine it goes wrong at its base, when anyone starts with the theological view that Jesus words in the gospels, dont apply and arent the core of christianity.....the theology has ommited the only Light God has ever or will ever provide. the Light of the world. sad and really frustrating. im glad i came to this site, now i truly understand how misleading the gog is, how destructive it is to righteousness provided freely to those who accept Jesus Christ and His words. i guess it fits here

For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 19They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.” 20If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them"

the doctrinethat is, i believe there is always hope for the people deceived by it, IF they will base thier doctrine as " if Jesus said it is so, it is so"....that will save anyone if they Believe Him truly and Let the gospel reshape thier mind. in it the way of eternal Life is made easy and plain. if anyone will believe ...

matthew 11:27-30 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN FROM ME, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

not well said by any means actually. its not magic. thats why Jesus gives so many teachings of what to do, what to not do, thats why He teaches things like the parables of the wicked servant who refuses to work in response to His Love poured out for them. its not ever okay to opmit the words of the one who suffered and died, bled, was mocked, ridiculed, whipped, beaten 2 times. to try to claim His words arent the right words to believe is exactly what defines herecy.

The one to believe and accept is the one who suffered for each one who claims His death, when you claim Jesus death on your behalf, you then are also accepting His words all of the ones who seem so difficult to us at first, those words are what will renew the mind, and transform a BELIEVER. there is no magical grace thats going to force repentance and obedience. you have to accept forgivenenss, absolutely, and then, you have to learn and follow Jesus, it is the only way that God will ever provide, there is no other way. the gospels of matthew mark Luke and John are the wisdom and power of God to make us new through His words. the spirit is found in accepting and believing Hos words. there is no other holy spirit but that which comes through the message of Jesus Christ.

you have to accept Him first as the truth, then it all is simple, it becomes "follow me" "take my yoke upon you and learn from me and you will find rest for your souls ( not your flesh mind you but your souls)

be the virgin who keeps her lamp burning with oil, be the servant who puts the talent to work, be the one who truly does "believe in the one God has sent" its not about " who WE are in Christ" its about who Jesus Christ is, he is our savior and our Lord." His words are the words that Light everything else.

john 12:44- 50 "Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. 46I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.47“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 49For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.50I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

can you grasp how important His words are?

john 6:62-64 "
Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! 63The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[SUP]e[/SUP] and life. 64Yet there are some of you who do not believe."

its about believing Jesus, if we do, it will lead to repentance and righteousness because we learn what He says, and apply it Like He says

matthew 7:21-27 "
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
24“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

why is it okay to think Jesus doesnt know what He is saying? try accepting Jesus words and the truth will begin to manifest. when a person disagrees with Jesus, it is not Jesus who needs to adjust, he never will change He doesnt have to and shouldnt be asked to. He died to save us already a terrible painful death. its about honoring His sacrifice by learning and doing Gods will, which is His word. look at these scriptures and the many more, they are Jesus own words.......how can any doctrine of God, then omit Gods word???? please do accept the gospel, it will change everything if anyone does, as soon as the decision is made a new life will begin as you hold fast to it God will change thoughts because you believe the truth of Jesus.

Hey Jason, how you doing bro?;)

I'm pretty much in the dark about what quite a few of them are about, but clear that there are some of them who really have a thing for this other prince fella.

I know Jesus speaks of the one who rejects him and receiveth not his words would be judged by the word he had "spoken" on the last day, but even the one which comes to him (hearing and not doing) is mentioned as being such a one without a foundation (which Jesus is) whereas the one who is coming to him hearing and doing is noted as the one building upon his house upon rock (even that foundation) which consists of me and my words. So Im not sure how the foundation is just the one coming to him by saying Lord Lord, in the sense of hearing him (but not doing what he says) when even there he shows both coming to me and my words (as in hearing them and doing them) as the foundation (even the rock) upon which the building of ones house is to be upon. Which is consistent with the Father (sending the Son) to speak His words (even as Moses wrote of me) and who himself was for a testimony for the things that would be spoken after (and began to be spoken first by Christ) and also confirmed by them which heard him, and these likewise (as far as that which was heard) even the words God gave him (and he in turn gave to them) the same would be those given which we are to give heed lest we let them slip. And simply because the doctrine locks in the Father (so to speak) as he that abides in the doctrine (even the words) of Christ (whose doctrine was not his) but the Father's in that same would have God, whereas not abiding in the same one does not, so the words are relevant (in a nutshell) because I got to hit the sack here before the sun comes up ;)

He also mentions those who might not consent not to wholesome words, even the words of the Lord Jesus Christ and the doctrine which is according to godliness, and that one being moreso the proud one (who knows nothing) in the context of perverse disputings of men with corrupt minds speaking of gain being godliness verses godliness itself with contentment is the true gain. Things like that.

Peace to you Jason, God bless you

John 1:1-14 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [SUP]2 [/SUP]The same was in the beginning with God. [SUP]3 [/SUP]All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [SUP]4 [/SUP]In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. [SUP]6 [/SUP]There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [SUP]7 [/SUP]The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. [SUP]8 [/SUP]He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. [SUP]9 [/SUP]That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. [SUP]10 [/SUP]He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. [SUP]11 [/SUP]He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [SUP]12 [/SUP]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [SUP]13 [/SUP]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Imagine the Living Word being only believed in because of what He did on Calvary, but nothing on what He said. Blasphemy! How can we NOT believe The Living Word of God?

Luke 6:46-49 (KJV)
[SUP]46 [/SUP]And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
[SUP]47 [/SUP]Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: [SUP]48 [/SUP]He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. [SUP]49 [/SUP]But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
