It doesn’t matter. Raw materiel is always interesting because it comes from the heart. And when you see the progress or the evolution it is even more interesting.
For me, there's more to it than just a song. I'm just not ready to put them out there yet.

I understand perfectly. Sometimes it’s like your baby and a living creature and a sculpture you want to improve. Think about Leonardo da Vinci and his Mona Lisa: he would work on it daily till his death adding a small detail each time. He was never satisfy with it, there was always something to improve.

What does Job curse? By implication, what is not getting cursed?

Job curses the day of his birth. He would like to be dead. But he is not going to curse God ! And he is suffering and he is definitely complaining to God because he doesn’t understand what is happeningh to him !

Given what Job knows about God, how can Job approach God and make his case? (consider 9:32-35 especially)

Two men can go to court and be judged by a judge but God is not a man so it doesn’t work and above all God is almighty. But as he thinks that God strikes him, he can’t speak freely but with fear !

What does Job want from God? (see 14:13-17) Is this wish different than what he asked for in his opening lament (chapter 3)? If so, how would you account for the difference?

He would like to die to avoid god’s anger. In fact, it is not so different. If he could have died at birth meaning he would be dead and rest. Job just wants to rest. That’s the only thing that matters.

Job ends the debate by asserting his integrity (27:1-6), then calling down God's wrath if he ever harmed anyone.(chapter 31) Why didn't he say all this earlier?

I don’t understand the question because Job is always equal to himself, he is not a baby boy, he is a man with experience, he keeps speaking about his integrity to God, he has a long experience, when he does or says something it is on purpose and it is serious.

Job responds twice (40:3-5, 42:1-6). Does he admit having sinned and deserved punishment?

He just says he is unworthy and he spoke without understanding. But he didn’t sin.

Still, many unanswered questions remain. Only God knows why dozens of bystanders had to die in this unfolding drama between Satan and God. We struggle with the fact that some who are righteous have short, tragic lives while others who are wicked enjoy wealth and long life. One thing we can affirm, however: What seems unfair in this life will be made right in eternity. Our problems will be resolved and many of our questions answered.

Well, anything can happen to anyone and human life is fragile even if we are careful about what we do and how we live.

3. How do you explain to a person that their health does not depend upon the strength of their faith?

Point to Job. Clearly he suffered in a way which is difficult to imagine yet the Bible makes it abundantly clear this was not a lack of faith and might have actually been because of faith. Notice the description God gave of Job in chapters 1, 2, and 42. What was true of Job is true of us. Faith can influence health, but we cannot assume that because someone is sick, they have sinned.

Job was special because he was attacked by the devil. What is sure is that the Bible tells us to be careful about our body otherwise we will get into trouble. Moreover, we must pay Adam and eve’s disobedience to God and the consequences of what happens next. We can inherit genetical diseases or being contaminated. There are many ways to get ill even if we are careful.

15. What happened to Satan after Job? Did he give up?

I assumed he moved on. Maybe he always spoke to Job through his memory—what if you were wrong, what if Eliphaz was right, did God really say…, what if it happens again? We do know he still seeks to disprove God by pointing to unfaithful servants.

He works hard to oppose God trying to make people go away from him !

In a field that is so new, there are bound to be areas of potential growth. A tension pervades Seow’s organization of his research into separate sections under the headings Jewish, Christian, and Muslim consequences. One of the major contributions of Seow’s commentary is that it brings together these interpretive traditions that commentators have often falsely and mistakenly separated. Yet Seow’s research often indicates the extent to which these labels are unhelpful or even misleading, as he accounts for much overlap and interdependency in the various consequences of Job within and among different subgroups of these three religions. Incidentally, this mitigates the impression that Seow covers Muslim consequences in a mere seven pages after seventy-six on Christian consequences and fifty-seven on Jewish consequences, since he deals with Muslim consequences a number of times outside the borders of the
brief section titled “Muslim Consequences.” In any case, it often seems that the different consequences had more to do with the historical and contextual conditions than with the fact that an interpretation was, say, Jewish rather than Muslim. At one point Seow admits that telling a Jewish commentary apart from a Christian one can be difficult in terms of content and method. He is talking about the early twentieth century, but his comment applies equally to medieval Jewish interpreters in the Islamic east, and to other places and times.

JUST FORGET RELIGIONS AND IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A CHARACTER WHO HAS A DEEP RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND WHO SPEAKS DIRECTLY TO GOD TO EXPRESS HIS SUFFERING

If God chose Job in part because of his faith, how do we use this story to encourage us toward faith?

Read the whole story. No one could reasonably understand all of Job’s life and then question whether or not obedience is wise. Job never regretted obedience and neither will we.

Well, if the devil chose Job it is because he was the best in terms of faithfulness to God and he thought he could do what he wanted with him like with Adam and Eve. But it didn’t work because Job is exceptionnal. And each time we read his book, we must remember his fighting spirit and his mental power. We are not supposed to be like him but he must be an example to follow and a source of encouragement even when we feel completely lost !

God is in control.

God is the creator of the universe. He is mighty and powerful. We can trust Him with our lives. We see in Job chapter one, that nothing came into the life of Job which did not first go through the hands of his loving God. Every page of scripture points to a sovereign God – from the creation account in Genesis to the return of Christ in Revelation, our God is in complete control.

Yes, but we must do our part ! If we aren’t careful we can have a car accident or a health accident or any kind of accident ! We must look after our family and if we don’t pay attention we may get into trouble because we don’t do anything !

God Watches Over Us
7 # Short Commentary and Lesson from Job 10.9-12

Often Job is characterized as a complainer who was merely venting his anger and frustration at his friends and at god. Hidden within Job's complaints are faint glimmers of hope that shine brightly through the background of his despair.

Here Job recognized that God did care for him. He has been a vital part of our lives since our conception. We may not understand the why of our circumstances, but it is a good idea to stop for a moment and reflect on the kindness and care that God has shown to us to this point. It is only because of his compassion for us that we have all we need.

We may also think of the luck we have to live on the earth! Even if men do their best to damage the Earth and pollute it and don’t care at all we can still enjoy nature and escape from the stress of cities when we go to nature! Of course, if we don’t spend all our free time on the internet or on our smartphone! It is difficult to find a balance but if we don’t it will only mean more troubles and instability!

He is faithful, He is just, He is Holy, He is righteous. He is the truth, He never lies, He never changes. He...Loves...me!

Lord, I don't understand the working of Your hand
But I know that the promises that You made to me are true
So I'll keep seeking Your face for the rest of my days
'Til my race is run and my time on this world is through - tc
