Many teach as you do Cobus. There are not a few. There will be many in that day say Lord Lord but did I not do all these wonderful things in your name. Jesus will simply say, Depart from me for I never knew you.
There is life after the cross. It is called sanctification. We are, and will continually be sanctified by growing in Christ, and one day be glorified. We will not be glorified on this earth, because we still have sin. If I could ever be perfect I would not need god. Nor would I ever need grace.
God says that even the littlest of all sin is like vomit to him. To say you are sinless is to mock the word of God, and mock the very Christ who died for you.

NOTHING I do can make me a good person, but God does have something that can change this bad guy to a person that can ...1. Love himslef. 2. Love you as God loves you. 3. Love God with all his heart, and all his soul and all his mind.

Zoney if the righteous barely makes it, I have NO CHANCE, so I am sorry I have no peace yet! And the little I got get very desturbed by the thought that i will NEVER have peace that even goes beyond human understanding. I know that peace, is a HOLY REST IN CHRIST! Ramon has the right idea but the appropriation of what is intended does not come from us but from God's plan. We don't do anything or try to put ourselves in situations to 'kill' or bring death to our flesh in our experience. We let God's plan deliver us to those places of death that God wants to work into our lives. Peter had a problem in this area and was not converted until later in his walk with the Lord (Lk 22:32,33). During this process many believers backslide mentally, emotionally or even through personal sin because they want to preserve those areas that God wants to crucify in their experience through taking up a cross. We will never be ready to lay our lives down for others, God's way, until we take up a cross and allow the plan of God to work death in us. Jesus laid His life down through His cross and we lay our lives down for one another through our cross that we have to take up.
EG ...ONE day be glorified? Jesus said He is gloified in the ones that belongs to Him. Either Jesus is glorified in you or He is not. If Jesus is glorified IN YOU then you are ALREADY glorified! Even you flesh is glorified by HIS PRESENCE IN YOU! Come on man! What is so difficult to understand this.... If Jesus is glorified in you YOU ARE GLORIFIED BY HIM!!! That means you now live IN CHRIST AND HE IS YOU... AND THERE IS NO SIN ASSOSIATED HERE!!! Nothing! Zip!
Jesus cannot sin, and ANY PERSON that is IN CHRIST also CANNOT sin! Becasue in Him IS no Sin!

Cobus if you ENDURE to the end of ALL sin I reproof you of, I will wash you ONCE in my blood, and you will be as pure as Me, and I will present you to the Father, spotless and without crinkle ONCE! And right there you will be edified, glorified and sactified WHOLY... Soul, spirit and BODY ...ONCE and I will fill you with my Spirit that htere is NO PLACE FOR ANY OTHER DEMON/spirit/OR SIN! NONE!

Christ was delivered up for our sins and made reconciliation to God 2000 years ago.
He lived a PERFECTLY RIGHTEOUS LIFE UNDER THE LAW because you can not.
not now, not after you are justifed by Grace through faith.
God, through the Finished Work of Jesus is able to JUSTIFY (full aquittal, not guilty, forgiven, white as snow) the UNGODLY.
you WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH ON YOUR OWN. EVER.
you are washed clean and justified when you RECEIVE WHAT HE ALREADY DID BY FAITH.
that's it.
that's ALL GOD WILL ACCEPT.

Jesus took your place in life and death and God will only see JESUS when He sees you, as Jesus CONTINUALLY makes intercession for you.
you receive justification (complete aquittal of all charges, no double jeopardy, will not be tried again) when you BELIEVE WHAT GOD HAS SAID ABOUT YOU:
a sinner in need of a Saviour
AND ABOUT JESUS:
the ONLY acceptable substitute.
if you believe in your heart that God delivered up Jesus to be a propitiation (endure God's wrath in your place), and raised Him from the dead to give you life,
YOU WILL RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT and be saved.
no one can take you away from Him then.
BUT IT IS BY FAITH ALONE.
COBUS MUST STAY OUT OF IT.

2. I am growing every day. I will not, however, be sinless. This is a false hope only given by proud men who think they have somehow "made it" and in turn, the focus comes off Christ, but on ourselves. As why do we need CHrist anymore when we are perfect/
