True but also there are those present who are implying antinomianism as well. Imputed righteousness is not nor should ever be used as a license to sin.
WHO has implied antinomianism?

WHERE?

Absurd logic.

Christ made us free with His SACRIFICE.

We WEAR His righteousness.

Its substitutional atonement. Look it up when your not too busy being sinless.

Did you ever decide if you were sinless or not? Or was it temporary sinlessness or summink? lolz.

Hypocrite.
Show me one place in scripture where imputed righteoussness is used as an excuse to sin?

As for the name calling, who's acting childish now?

How can you believe sin is inevitable and wrong at the same time?
It's wrong to sin. Why do you think God hates it so much? But...Satan plays tricks and trips you sometimes and you sin. That's how it's inevitable.

Righteousness is a gift given to us by God. Holiness (or complete consecration) is a gift from us to God.

Still waiting for an intelligent response to post #12.

What did Paul mean 'I die daily'?

WHO is making excuses to sin?

WHO has said its ok to go out and sin all you want?
We must never teach imputed righteousness without including the importance of walking in humility and repentance. Far too many today use imputed righteousness as a license to sin and by discussing imputed righteousness without humility and repentance it could easily be mistaken for antinomianism.

While you may not have implied antinomianism, many in the modern church relate imputed righteousness with antinomianism. We must always make our selves clear when discussing the topic of imputed righteousness.

Amen. I have tried to share about this gift, but not many can receive the gift of righteousness.

If you did something against me that warranted your death, the law will condemn you, because the law says, DEATH!! But where there is mercy, you can escape the PENALTY of transgressing the law. Yet, God is not a liar, someone has to die. In this case, Jesus died, so that we can be saved from the penalty of sin, which is death.

Now, Jesus died so that we can be saved, but what if that you went and did it again ignoring the fact that the only reason you are still alive is because Jesus died. Indeed, the wrath will remain on you.

Now, this is not to you, but to help us see better the situation of righteousness and the free gift. The free gift was, ''your rap sheet is clean, and legally you are clean,'' not as though we hadn't done the crime, but that we were forgiven and so the law has no more power to condemn us. B

But if one man says, ''I am forgiven of my sins, '' and goes out and kills his brother, he is proof that he never repented (turned away). I see that many have not known the cost of that sacrifice, and MANY have not even known the grace of God. They know ideals, but it never hit home, so there was never any true repentance. They can't identify with Christ, because they never carried the cross. Which is his command.

May Jesus bless you.

no no one on the thread has posted they believe in antinomianism

but some believe in sinless perfection though they admit they have not achieved it they are dragging that yoke and placing it on as many willing sufferers and pietistic people they can rope in. Some has stated that Jesus can't save them fully until they are perfectly sinless like Jesus, Jesus will then be able to completely control them and replace their spirit with the HOLY SPIRIT and use their flesh. (kind of creepy)

some keep company with each other and don't realize that the one sitting next to them believe such things but will jump down the throat of anyone who questions their buddies beliefs even though they are not quite sure they really know their buddies beliefs but since they are agreeing with them they must be right.

Alright Ramon it is not CHRISTIANS that must DIE for they are not TRUE CHRISTIAN until they are RAISED AGAIN to LIFE in Christ. (they only claim the name and seek to have salvation without submitting to the LORDSHIP of Christ)

Sinners must die, Flesh, sin, lust of the world, pride of life, lust of the eye, hatred, contempt, etc must all die, be nailed ot the Cross and buried.

now lets move on and shake free the chains of lies, death and illusions.

lets talk about ABIDING in Christ, RAISING with Him, Learning to WALK, be mature and bear Good Fruit through Diligently adding to FAITH, perserverence, Knowledge, Self-control, Brotherly KINDNESS, and LOVE

. And when we have grown mature and destroyed our own strongholds of darkness that war against the knowledge of God and have made EVERY thought captive to Christ,

let us pick up our cross and either plant seeds by speaking God's words into the lives of the lost, watering and comforting the new seedlings, or showing the mature how to harvest and plant God's Word and Love into the lives of others in this world. (sometimes out of Faith God asks us to do this for love for others even when we ourselves feel unready or unworthy we are told to not measure our worth by what we do but look to Jesus and recognize what HE has already done)

why do people want to rush and do things so out of order?

if you put a seedling in the hot sun with no water, will it last? IF the tree has matured and undergo the same conditions will it perish?

Ok you've made yourself clear so now can you lay off with the 'License to sin' angle until someone here actually produces that error?

You have been directing it at US without any justification.

I live in an area where antinomianism is the norm among professed believers. They believe that they can live however they choose and will not accept correction at any cost. Because of this it's nearly impossible to reach the lost in this area because they see the hypocrisy being committed by antimomians and want no part of Christianity at all.

As far as the legalists are concerned, at least they are headed in the right direction. As long as they continue to seek God with all diligence then I am confident that God will see their hearts and show them the error in their ways. However, I assure you that they will not accept correction from someone who leans too close to antinomianism.

Keep praying that God will show them the truth.

Amen Anandahya.

I would love to talk about this with you.

We know that if Jesus lives in a person, that person would be like Jesus. And if that life has to come and live in them, then they were dead. Sinners are already dead. But a sinner must be resurrected from the dead. Jesus Christ's whole life was a ministry of what he would achieve in his body, that is, in the body of Christ.

He would do away with the flesh, and be resurrected to life. All Christians have to die.

These say that it is impossible for one to be perfect, but that is what is a lie. Now, any man that tries to achieve perfection by himself will end up unsuccessful, and THIS is the idea of the Pharisees. But those who have faith in Christ to achieve this in them, are doing the will of God from the heart. As it was written, ''Not by might, but by my Spirit.''

The Spirit of God that was in Christ also resurrects the body of Christ, and ALSO quickens the mortal flesh. So, this is how the dead in Christ will be resurrected to meet him, because they had The Life, Jesus Christ.

One said, ''Though my outward man perish, my inner man is being renewed every day.''

As the Lord also said, you cannot mix old with the new, because one will take from the other. He spoke this of his body, and the Holy Ghost. That would come bringing that new life. Also he spoke of communion which we ALL must partake of (those who are his disciples anyhow.)

If anyone wants to follow Jesus, he MUST take up his cross, and follow him.

May Jesus bless you.

Oh you simplified it so much that it wasnt even a response.

I did respond however, realizing that a direct response would be a waste of my time seeing as you would disagree with me regardless, I directed my response else where.

Anyways, I'm through speaking with you. It's obvious that you love to argue for the sake of arguing. Typical behavior of someone who believes in Calvinism.
