There is ONE God in essence/nature yet three distinct persons in the Godhead - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Amen, Even the OT has this distinct separation

The father

The God of Israel - (Jesus)

And the spirit. Who roams the earth,

Because either there are no "Pentecostal" Churches or they all are.
Its just another unscriptural bizarre schism that needs to not be there at all.
You'll have to explain the bolded part to me, a little unclear what you mean. Second part is simply your opinion. What's bizarre about Pentecostal, so much so they need to be gone and not even be considered brothers and sisters in the Lord?

All of the above comments are meaningful and well thought out. But they are all taken from our traditional beliefs and simply do not line up with what Jesus plainly teaches about himself in the Bible. Translated, it seems to be the most difficult thing in the Christian world for us to simply believe that Jesus is YHWH God, the same one the prophets said would come and save his people from their sins.

For instance, Isaiah 40 plainly tells us this:

"Listen! I hear the voice of someone shouting, 'Make a highway for the Lord through the wilderness. Make a straight road through the desert for our God."

And if this is not plain enough it goes on to say: "Fill in the valleys and level the hills. Straighten out the curves and smooth off the rough spots. Then God will come in his full glory and all eyes shall see him."

It goes on to say: "Messenger of the Gospel, shout to Zion ( us ) from the mountaintops! Shout louder to Jerusalem, do not be afraid. Tell the towns of Judah ( again, us ), 'Your God is coming in all his glorious power. Yes, he will rule with awesome strength. See, he brings his reward ( salvation and heaven ) with him as he comes. Yes, he will fed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry his lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart.'"

Without a doubt, this is speaking of God as Jesus in his earthly ministry!

to So yes, I know that this is hard to believe because it is not what we have been taught all these many years. But now it is! So all I ask you to do is check out what I am telling you for yourself in the Bible, and you will see for yourself.
Or maybe your thoughts are learned.

Jesus is seen in the OT as their lord and savior. The God of Isreal. Who is sent by the father and the spirit

Is 48:
“Listen to Me, O Jacob,
And Israel, My called:
I am He, I am the First,
I am also the Last.
13 Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth,
And My right hand has stretched out the heavens;
When I call to them,
They stand up together.

14 “All of you, assemble yourselves, and hear!
Who among them has declared these things?
The Lord loves him;
He shall do His pleasure on Babylon,
And His arm shall be against the Chaldeans.
15 I, even I, have spoken;
Yes, I have called him,
I have brought him, and his way will prosper.
16 “Come near to Me, hear this:
I have not spoken in secret from the beginning;
From the time that it was, I was there.
And now the Lord God and His Spirit
Have sent Me.”

Pretty much. I walked into some kind of "Apostolic" Church years ago. They were calling each other Apostle this and Apostle that and a lot of other self appointed honorific titles.
Pretty crazy man. And really frightening. And it was obvious they were frauds BTW.

I beat a hasty retreat.

So you walked into a crazy church one time. So what? Want to know how many crazy churches I've walked into? I was in a Baptist church once when some kind of crazy spirit happened and the entire church got up and did a Jericho march around the church. See not just "Pentecostals" that do "crazy" things.

Don't worry. CC changed this, and they shouldn't have, that you use to see pink or blue and be able to tell who you were talking to. I have no idea why they changed it.
Yes I have called many a lady man or dude..lol

It humbles you thats for sure (when you make a mistake like that)

Why not just say three gods? Wouldn't that be easier.

It is the new format, It is probably just the way the way it is..and there was no option for male female colors.

Or else we are trying to be gender nuetral like the rest of the world is leading... :ROFL: (just joking)

It is my understanding that for the most part, Pentecostal movements and churches were begun by men (and women) who IMO lacked the necessary biblical scholarship to lay the foundation for a Church. Their doctrine is all over the map, with crazy emphasis and even more crazy practices and notions. I had a fiancée years ago who was a Pentecostal. She and her female contingent had not the slightest idea of what they were doing or what they were taking about. Sure they were thumping a bible and had scripture posted all over the house. But when you are attending church where the main activity is smashing cymbals, noise, wailing, screaming, obviously fake supposed spiritual activity, and people falling over, with ZERO accurate biblical teaching in order to equip of the Saints for witnessing, you are doubtless in a fraud church founded by the flesh and in the flesh.

God willing they all escaped from that madness.

Depends

Gods in the hebrew are interpreted God in the english. So ask the origional writters why they did not just interpret it as Gods.

I see that once. Just once. And I'm GONE. Why? Because if the elders and leadership is that far off the mark, I will not sow my time money and effort into a lost cause.

You can not judge a whole denomination because you had one bad experience. You can find bad apple’s in almost any denomination

I'm glad you said in your opinion. Otherwise there are no facts to back up that claim.

You're going to have to be a little more specific than all over the map.

She and her female contingent had not the slightest idea of what they were doing or what they were taking about. .
Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. But that's two people you know. How many Pentecostals do you know? Do you know all of them, or half of them? Just because you had a weird fiancée doesn't mean everyone is like her.

Sure they were thumping a bible
How does one thump a Bible exactly? I've never seen it done.

and had scripture posted all over the house
Is there something wrong with posting Bible verses in your home? I would think you'd find that comforting, having His word where you can see it and remember it.

But when you are attending church where the main activity is smashing cymbals, noise
Yeah we have a church like that in town. All they play is loud Christian rock music. My parents attended there and said it was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. A pretty large church too. It's Baptist.

I attended one of those services too. People were pretty loud, talking in tongues. I think they may have even been falling over too. I tell you that's the last Methodist church I'll ever attend!!

So now Baptist churches should be gotten rid of? Or just a few?

Denomination? What's that? But what I meant to say is that I would not attend that SPECIFIC Church any longer.

Ok, But your slamming a whole denomination based on that experience? That is surely what it appears? And not just to myself

Real Tongues? I doubt it. Very much.

loud Christian rock music
There is no Christian rock music in my experience. Its modeled after the world, and is in fact worldly.

posting Bible verses in your home
Memorization and understanding are a universe apart. They did not know what in the world they were doing, because if they did, they would abandon their bizarre notions.

Maybe she did, maybe she didn't.
She (they) didn't. I was there I know.

I suggest some research. The nutter Pentecostal fringe churches were all started by apostates.
