some say angels and even worse some say three men - check your bible - wincam
They can say what they want. Bible says this:

Genesis 18:1-3

1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

It's worse than that. Angel means messenger. Many men are messengers. And many of them are worshipped by the folks. Think; TV preachers. Many pastors. It's idolatry. And most of them accept that praise and adoration from the unwashed masses. Welcome to Rome!

I have to chuckle because if any one of us had an angel (let alone three angels) appear before us in glorious raiment, we'd be astonished and frozen in amazement and fear. Many times in the Bible it states that when angels appeared, people either fell down as dead or were filled with fear and amazement.

Remember when the angel slapped Peter awake while he was imprisoned? The Bible says the chains fell off of Peter and the angel told him to get dressed and go with him out of the jail. It says Peter thought he was seeing a vision. Even the prison gate opened of its own accord. Because when God directs something, it performs what He tells it to do. Once outside, the Bible states that the angel disappeared and Peter came to his right mind. He had been in complete astonishment.

You have to remember, angels are God's representative and messengers. They appear and perform exactly as the Lord tells them to. They're not doing their own will. Whatever they do and say to you is a direct order from God. There is no reason to worship them as they are God's creation, like we are, only higher in the realm of glory. But there's plenty of reason to tremble and be astonished because they are on a holy mission direct from the Throne Room of God.

If the angel in Revelation said do not bow down and worship him, that's an order from God. So I don't plan to do that thing. :)

Angels aren't to be worshipped. The angel didn't stop Abraham and correct Him, so we can rightfully assume that this is none other than the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ.

notice it says three men and Abraham addresses the three as one and is addressed by the three as one - but he addresses all three as My Lord - wincam

Aye indeed. This is my meaning that it says nothing about angels. Merely Bible says the Lord appeared to him and he (Abraham) addressed his company as "my Lord."

Angels and Man both created being. Angels were created to be servants to God - Gabriel go and give an answer to Daniel - Michael, that stands for thy people (Israel) - Gabriel, go down and appear to Mary and give glad tiding. Angels would not be pleased if any would bow to them.

I think that in Abraham's case it was like doing obeisant as to a King, we give honor to people who is worthy of honor.

You dont worship angels and you dont worship 'fellow Christians'.. NOPE. You Worship God. the One who gave Himself on the tree for you!!!! worshipping supposed other 'christians'. is Idolatry.. why do you think you have all these multitudes 'following and admiring(worshipping) many so called Tv 'christians'.. or radio christians or internet christians.. or 'hollywood christians........ they 'WORSHIP' them.. follow them.. adhere to their false teachings.. mmmmm--------------> thats Idolatry. it Truly Is. and when the Veil is pulled away.. you will see that what is behind that deception of 'worship' is really of the devil.. for no marvel Satan himself is tranformed into an angel of light and minister of Righteousness'.... but this in these last Days is to expected.. God's Elect are NOT SUPRISED AT THIS.. nope!

You can do this if you're are so inclined.
Rev 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
Rev 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Angel worship is forbidden, period. The only Angel/Image/Messenger of GOD that Was to be worshipped/mimicked by Mankind Is Jesus The Anointed (Christ)... David and others were Anointed too....

Why should no one worship an angel? Look at the world now, especially how people worship people in the entertainment industry, all the while claiming how much they love GOD? They make fun of Jesus, GOD, HIS Laws, etc. and that's ok? HIS Word is to be Law and Governance to bring Earth back to Eden (Paradise) status.

should we bow down to or worship angels - many say Abraham did as at Gen.18 - wincam
Hi wincam, who said? You mean Genesis 18,2? If you would be in those cultures you would find it as a custom for guests. To link from this event to say that Abraham worshipped angels is very much fantasie. Bible is claer who is to worshipped: God alone!
have a blessed day!
