I think an interesting conversation can be had between @GWH (older generation) @ParticularWife (younger generation)
I find it so impossible to take stuff like MuhRepublic seriously that it might not be. As I said before, my views are very close to people like the Lutherans at Stone Choir, Neema Parvini or C. Jay Engel. If someone can't digest elite theory, the failure of America on every level from moral to economic to international, and the futility of the liberalism that infects all of American culture I'm not going to find it a useful conversation at all. I have less interest in political debate than rehashing paedobaptism. I frankly don't think the unfixable opinions of people who will probably not be around much longer actually matters. I don't believe in convincing the masses, I believe that politics is elite warfare. What you think really doesn't matter. Get an army, or you're basically just watching football. I'm on the side of local community organization, but not national politics. That's for people with money who are willing to kill their enemies. We aren't a factor in that. Even having debates about it is somewhat inane, I reject the idea of populism and democracy, "the people" do, and think, as they're told.

Nice.
The natural result in believing in theology of selection.
I think we have a good coffee group so far.
Me and my friend @GWH started the coffee group when i realized that self-awareness has left the building so we're enjoying each-others jokes and comments.

Yes, really.
Who is "our" [intelligence]?
Politics a.k.a. Government a.k.a. Rule is inescapable. I think God is allowing history to unfold in one aspect to allow men to try out all their theories to prove that we were never designed to rule ourselves apart from Him. Thus Jesus the Christ - YHWH's KING (Ps2) - the Only Absolute Ruler (Jude1:4) - The Only Lawgiver (James4:12). Until then I think He's created a very large sandbox for children to play in while He develops Sons for the eternal reality.
I think an interesting conversation can be had between @GWH (older generation) @ParticularWife (younger generation) and whoever else can add some perspectives to the new era obviously in formation.
I think you make an interesting point, and Steve Bannon was the first one I heard say to us MAGA folks after the big steal of 2020 that God allowed the Marxists to take control of our government so that their evil policies would cause enough suffering to finally wake people up and save our country, which we hope has just happened in 2024. (praying hands imogee :^)

I'm not going to find it a useful conversation at all.
The last part of learning is teaching. It's not all about you. So, pick a topic and speak your thoughts. I started listening to one of the podcasts you reference. When I have an hour, I'll listen to more.

I frankly don't think the unfixable opinions of people who will probably not be around much longer actually matters
Don't buy into the old dogs new tricks analogy, at least not entirely.

I'm on the side of local community organization, but not national politics
Many have found that local community organizations end up in local community politics. Then local communities interact with other local communities and more politics and wars. It's not a new idea. I am enjoying some of the Network State ideas. But, as I read them they just remind me of a digital version of the concept of the Spiritual Ekklesia.

I'd rather not, frankly. I have other things to do that are more useful. Again, I don't think it actually matters what our opinions are in most respects. And if you're interested, read a book. I already have children, I'm not trying to educate anyone else.

Again, I'm not wasting my time with tribal nonsense among the most rapidly mentally declining group in America. These people aren't interested in learning, and their opinions don't matter, anyway.

Many have found that local community organizations end up in local community politics.
Which is why you need elites who will use organization and force to defend you and crush your enemies. But that's probably not any of us.

I reject the entire paradigm that the masses should be politically engaged or that ideological conversion is a productive use of time. This is narcissistic Boomer BS. I don't care.

1. Re "I think America is a failing state that really needs to fail.": Why?

2. Re "I think populism is nonsense": Why?

3. "I think Trump is a Boomer liberal who won't do what's necessary,": Why?

4. "I think the American system is flawed and obsolete, etc.": All people including us are flawed, but are we therefore obsolete?

5. "I don't care about the Constitution or any of that stuff,": Why?

6. "this is about friends and enemies, not ideology or meritocracy." What does that mean? Do friends not share our ideology?

7. "I not only think the USA cannot be fixed I think the world will be a better place when it's gone.": Why? What do you think will remain that will be better?

8. "I frankly despise conservatism. ": You despise much, but is there anything you love?

9. "It's an ideology of losers, which is why they always fail.": What is your definition of conservatism?

Yep, all the same questions I have!!

So if you don't wish to discuss your views, why are you here, in a... discussion forum??

I agree with you that some people who confuse politics with the Bible are very confused in many areas of the globe.
By "our intelligence" i meant that "are we that stupid for God to make us realize that Biden is a failure as an elected choice"?
That's the first meaning of "our intelligence". The second meaning is "are we that stupid that we confuse the Kingdom of God with some earthly nations in year 2024 at some random part of the globe?"
Agreement is good.

I think we collectively are that stupid and much stupider would end up in deeper destruction. I've been paying some attention to such things since Bush Obama caught my eye when the homosexual issue actually made a POTUS debate stage. Whether right or wrong in anyone else's eyes, that was a Romans 1 moment for me indicating that the God turning people over to their "worthless minds" had reached a certain mass. The Obama years hit me during a time I was studying how God controls the capacity for thought in relations to His righteousness and truth. We can look back and find other Christians who were sounding various alarms in prior years as they saw certain things trending ungodly. IMO the hatred against Trump 2016 outed many things that were trying to be accomplished more in stealth. This current admin IMO shows what we're really dealing with and what has been going on for quite some time.

The KOG is internal and working its way outward. Any time human organizations gain a certain mass, the corrupting influences are part - the birds are in the branches.
Also, I'm surprised you didn't get the trans ideology point.
It's very simple.
The trans ideology is the extreme opposite of the maga ideology when both groups try to pick verses out of the Bible to support their ideology.
In other words, the confusion as usual, is that people don't read the Bible with an open mind but with pre-concived notions to support their prior established beliefs before reading the Bible.
A trans person will look for verses which support "tolerance" and a Maga person will look for verses which "support" guns.
I normally try to make certain I understand someone's meaning. At times this goes down to many single words someone uses. It just indicates I'm trying to have a real conversation where we're not talking past one another because we use words or phrases together while internally attaching different meanings to them. IOW, we're peaking different languages in a sense.

The Bible issue is always the same no matter what topic it is being used to address. For those of us who see it as our Standard, it seems to me all we can do is our best to seek its meaning and decide where to land on an issue. Since the unity of what represents itself as the Church on earth is so denominationalized, that quite a challenge these days as the theological sections of this forum indicate.

Totally agree with you here and i especially agree with Romans 1 and your explanation that the KOG is internal and working its way outwards.
But it should never be outwards working its way inwards as is the case with Maga which has nothing to do with the KOG.

Agreement is good.

Totally agree with you again brother. What's important is to focus on the things we agree on, as i agree on many things with the major and maybe have a little laugh on the things we disagree on.
But we always remain bothers in Christ!

Please, when people have firewalls you won't be able to get through them even with a laser light.
Especially theological firewalls. It's actually astounding and the digital talent should figure out how to imitate it for ultimate security.

So, your community small or large will have elites who can crush your enemies. That's a novel concept.

Why do you think you're different than many of the Boomers who were raised by a war generation and just wanted to raise their families in peace with a leadership that would protect them so they could do so? While you're feeding the kids the leadership gets corrupted and history repeats itself and you ended up being what you spoke against.
