I know many Catholics who are fine Christians (washed in the Blood of the Saviour) and many who are not, and likewise I know many Protestants (washed in the Blood of Jesus) who are fine Christians and many who are not...

So, the upshot of this is that ALL people need a living faith in Jesus, not something else.

We are talking about the teaching of catholic.

For example: is moslim peace religion?

I know a lot of Muslim not terrorist, is that make Islam peace religion?

No, because the teaching of Islam say if you kill non Islam and die, you go to heaven and getting 72 virgin.

Christianity was pre-determined. Individual Christians were not.
I disagree, I think God is bigger than that. And he knew us, It says our names were written in the book of life back then, He certainly knew us by name. Why can't he know us our hearts.

Remember, DOnt think of God being in our time, a day is as a thousand years to him, in the grad scheme of things, Mankinds walk on this earth has at most been ten days to God

It's true, all we need is faith in Jesus. The question is how does that look in practical terms, can a person continue to worship idols while they profess to have faith in Christ.

I came out of Roman Catholicism, soon after I was saved. The truth liberated me from superstition and false doctrine. So I personally don't believe that Christ would leave a believer in an apostate Church.

Now that's a good question. g'morning 2 ya, I'll go out on l limb here but I think it depends on how spiritualy atune we / they are some of us get it like a bolt of lightning or sound of thunder, some faint some cry some speak in tongues and so forth others witness the spectacle for the first time wonder what's going on? Like me and Many never experience more than a gentle tug at their heart. So yielding to the Holy Spirit, like salvation, goes on a case by case schedule I think and if the spirit within is weaker than the brain washing or influences around it is very difficult to make such a significant choice. Thats why we need to show them love and compassion when they may be filled with fear or doubt. That's why I stick up for them. O.K?

c....,
I was under the impression that you were a Christian?
The Dems. have guts to stand for all the immoral things in their platform and call themselves a Christian....it won't work..they are not.
Regressive...morally.......maybe....certainly not progressive.

Why the Reps. allowed you folks to steal and use that word is beyond my understanding.

I get what you are saying. But that is not WHAT I am referring to.

The Nihilism I am using stems from Nietzsche, it is an expansion of his argument. Nihilism as the Devaluation of Values, and that the Devaluation of Values stems from the Death of God (which Nietzsche defined as the Highest Value). Heidegger picks up on this argument, as well as Gianni Vattimo and his argument of Nihilism and the Death of God.

I am making the argument about what caused the Death of God and how it took place within Europe. I use the word Nihilism as the Process of this Event. As I argued the Renaissance is the event that brought this about, which led to the Reformation. Martin Luther destroyed the Philosophical foundation of Europe, which led to the rise of The Enlightenment which was antitheological.

Nihilistic in this sense is the process of being created out of the process of the Devaluation of God within Europe. The Devaluation of God simply means the collective cultural Temporal Value of Society. God simply means, in this case, The Highest Value. When that value crashes that process is called Nihilism or devaluation.
I am familiar with Nietzsche.
"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."

"Every belief, every considering something true, is necessarily false because there is simply no true world." From the notes in his book, Will to Power

I'm not going to pursue the Nihilism claim concerning it being the foundation of Protestantism. Nihilism does not change in scope of meaning because it is used to target Protestantism. I will refer sisters and brothers reading here to an older page entitled, Waiting For Godot To Leave.
The article I believe you all may find interesting there is entitled,
Protestantism and Nihilism

Orestes Brownson What is Nihilism? And Why does Every Young Person Believe It?

For my part I choose to return to the topic that began the discussion here. Are Roman Catholics Christians. I think in fairness and out of respect for this discussion that one that pertains to Nihilism and Protestantism, should be afforded its own thread. Just my thoughts.
Thank you for your patience with my questions as pertains to your beliefs as stated here. :)

A Christian can not have one foot on each side of the fence.
The Holy Spirit is hardly....weak.
We either are a Christian or we are not.
All folks are to be shown love ...even G-d loves the sinner and hates the sin, but...if not in compliance with G-d's word...no acceptance.
If you got it ..."like a bolt of lightening"......you would not be calling yourself a ..."progressive".

]I consider myself a conservative, can we still be friends or are our different views irreconcilable.

I'm of the view, that Jesus finished the work of salvation on the cross so there's nothing new that we can add to the Gospel.

Catholics call it a finished work as that which provides grace but then according to the law of their fathers show it to be a partial payment of a unknow amount of grace. Saying our work of suffering in the end of the matter a a place they call purgatory does the actual finishing.

Therefore we must find out what they mean when they use the word "finsished" it has another meaning like they do with many of the words of scripture

So then we have Christ's work as incomplete and a hope of completing it for another unknown amount of time or severity of suffering in the end .

It's how a person looks at the work. Protestants have a different view of (it is finished) Christ supplied the fulness of His grace .There is no grace coming from the creatures. Like our sister in the Lord Mary is the mother of mercy y as if she was crucified for the sins of the world.

Therefore they simply do despite to the grace of God

The Catholics because there foundation is built seeking after dead people who are no longer here under the Sun, they have developed a system of seeking (necromancy) the approval of workers with familiar spirits. They create their own private faith base that they are required to call Patron saint.
Patron saints (3500 and rising) makes up that legion The same amount of idol images (teraphims) are available to purchase . In that way when the legion comes up they have a face to connect with the unseen spirit.

The apostate jews followed the same order.. different workers with famialr spirits. Rachel who practiced a form of Catholicism hid them from her father. He most likely had new ones made up.

Genesis 31:34 Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.

A, I didn't get it like abolt of lightning I'm the one who wondered what was going on and felt a gentle tug that got stronger with my desire.
B, I fear that Trump ma be preemptive test for the Antichrist to see how gulliblecwe are before he or if not born yet strikes you can't convince me that someone who is cruel to children, a liar, con man, whoremonger who has already convicted of money laundring and paid a $10,000,000 dollar fine war monger, etc...I Gods chosen man for this country. He's not bright enough to be the antichrist but he's arrogant enough and narcisstic enough to be used by the Enemy and I'll stand against him untill God tells me otherwise.
C, I never said that Gods spirit was weak. I said that sensitivity to it was. I was 27 the first time I witnessed the spirit move in a crowd I never imagined such a thing could happen, never understood what it even meant. Then.

Now let me ask you 2 questions. 1) Do you recall when Jesus was a refugee? 2) which is more important the Constitution or the Bible?

We must resign ourselves to the fact that a man of God has no chance of ever becoming a president, while the Prince of this world system is Satan.
God can still use Trump to bring His will to bare.

Can a person be a devout Roman Catholic and be a faithful follower of Christ at the same time.

No.

Romans Catholicism is a man made religion, that promotes the worship of Mary, and prayer to dead saints, and the worship of statues.

I'm not touching any sort of political argument with a ten-foot pole. Not with any man, no how, no way.
But I wanted to give a verse, concerning God and Trump (or God and Obama or God and Putin).

New Living Translation
He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.
