trust me I'm trying to give you scriptures over and over again so how am I not talking about God? the reason why I show you what people say in a church you know" a building where money is to be made and a show goes on stage for about two hours....is to help people realize just because you have been taught by someone something for a long time it doesnt make it true but if the truth(jesus) teaches you something then guess what it's true ..well of course if you believe in God right?

But you're filled with assumptions and accusations as if all the church were on the wrong track.

Except for you, of course.

We had one here recently who preached this same message, who condemned the church with unsubstantiated and broad brush generalizations. It is noted you've recently joined with the same message after this one requested to be deactivated. I just find that of interest due to its timing.

Now:

Not all churches are a show.

Not all churches are a building where money is to be made.

Of course, church is not a building.

You say that since we've been taught (interestingly "we" not "you") something (ambiguous and unnamed) by someone doesn't mean it is true. True, but it doesn't mean it is false either, and in fact often the teaching is spot on Biblical. See, this is the trouble with generalized statements without real facts and/or details of exactly what is being taught that is wrong, just believe you without evidence, and the naive will believe "it" whatever "it" is with no facts or examples. That's what is sad.

Christ gave to the church those who teach, Ephesians 4:11-14&c. We are to respect these by admonition of much Scripture. This goes against your broad brushing, showing your position to be unScriptural.

Then there is the old veiled (or not so veiled) slight of "if you believe in God right?" thrown in at the end as if the person's addressed, who are so in the wrong and mislead, not the author the OP of course, perhaps just don't believe in God at all.

thanks jimbone glad to be here but it's all good I'm getting use to people disrespecting me and hating me because I'm speaking the truth....you know I was a drug and alcohol abuser and I use to beat my wife all the time and she never once called me evil but the one day I decided to stop going to church and seek god and learn from his word and now expose the lies she then called me evil it broke my heart because at first for a long time I thought I was just misunderstanding his word and doubting what I was being taught just confused but through much much praying,fasting and seeking I found others who had read the new testament others who had ears to hear so they heard just like I heard Gods word.... luke 6:22 blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the son of man's sake

And all He speaks is truth. I understand exactly what you're saying, and He has been showing me the actual power of His truth from a whole new perspective lately, and it sets my soul on fire, what's even more than that I read scripture in a way I never saw it before. I have to say that although it's defiantly not the same at all, I feel He has just gifted me a little deeper understanding of His truth, and to be honest it kind of makes the kind of behavior your seeing here a bit silly. We divide over ANYTHING, I do not see Jesus teaching us this example. He is truth, that is our only offense as Christians, that is what we live by, but I believe we are only even ABLE to live this way by His gift of a flesh heart when we die to ourselves and He makes us new. I believe without His grace, without His gift of redemption we are incapable of seeking Him, seeking His will.

I also believe this is the walk of every believer in Christ, that He WILL grow us in Him and His truth, it's also why I don't like having to label everything, I understand it, but don't like it because no two people agree on everything, unless they just arbitrarily accept the creed for what it is, a creed

It is common for those who come here for the sole purpose of stirring up strife to play the victim card. Lighten up and get with the program. We are not bad people here, always willing to listen and offer feed-back but after awhile it starts getting old.

I agree with you, Jesus goes out of His way to make this point, I think. In Luke 14:26

26“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters — yes, even his own life — he cannot be My disciple.

This is Jesus says "you know all the people you love, yea if you don't love Me more than all them, if it comes down to Me or whoever you love most on earth then you can't follow me".
He means it, but He understands the language and is using the best words He has to communicate to us that He is the only reason we have any of these people in our lives, lives we only have because our sovereign God grants us each and every breath we draw. Jesus says come to die, or don't come. Being lukewarm doesn't buy anyone anything.

I guess my main point is I agree with you that Jesus goes out of His way to tell us forsake everything of this world to die and be made new in His Spirit, to be brought to life for the very first time.

As a former solder I would say that the military should not be glorified. The military itself is justified in the bible. It's an honorable thing to serve defending your country from those that would seek to destroy us if given the chance.

He's been erecting invisible straw man arguments, somehow we're to see them while the case remains unnamed. It's easy to win a case that hasn't been stated. Or rather, it's actually impossible, but the one with such an invisible case can at least pretend.

You really need to get know who the members are before classifying them as to who you think they are and what they're about.
