what verse was it that says "i do not suffer anyone to teach" . . ?
Thanks for the reply,
With all due respect I would offer the verse that informs us of those who would seduce us as antichrists in respect to those who does say ;we do need a man to teach and therefore usurp the promised teaching authority of our teacher and father in heaven us is found in 1 John 2: 26-27.
I’m writing to you about
those who are
trying to deceive you. The anointing you received from Christ lives in you. You don’t need anyone to teach you something else. Instead, Christ’s anointing teaches you about everything. His anointing is true and contains no lie. So live in Christ
as he taught you to do. 1 John 2: 26-27.
In respect to to "i do not suffer anyone to teach" it is not found verbatim .
But what we do find is as one is our father in heaven, call no man on earth father, the same applies with Rabbi teacher. We walk by the faith of Him unseen. The faith of God . What if some do not believe? Would it make the faith of God, as the work of God that works in the believer without effect because of their unbelief (no faith)?
But don’t make others call you Rabbi, because you have only
one teacher, and you are all followers. And don’t call anyone on earth your father, because you have only
one Father, and he is in heaven. Don’t make others call you a leader, because you have only
one leader, the Messiah. The person who is greatest among you will be your servant. Whoever honors himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be honored. Mathew 23 :8-12
No man can serve two
masters (teachers) Even the Son of man in respect to his outward appearance when approached as “good teacher” replied only God is good.
And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good
Master,
(teacher) what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but
one, that is, God.Mar 10:17
This I believe helps us to understand what it means to walk by faith in respect to the Spirit of faith (Christ) as the things of God and not those as the things (private interpretations) as personal commentaries of men
The Holy Spirit demonstrates this moving Paul to declare His will and moving men to search it out.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind,
and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
I would think the teachers would try and teach others "how" can we hear the thoughts of God as the things of God and not those of men as safeguard to protect us from the antichrists.?
