Joh 6:45
It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught of God. Every one that hath heard from the Father, and hath learned, cometh unto me.

Everyone knows if we learn from Jesus Christ we are learning directly from God, so why settle for anything less?

Because I'm thickheaded, and sometimes think comes from God, and all the while it's just what I want to happen. Or because I don't have the time, energy, inclining, or brains to learn both the ancient languages and the customs of that era in the course of decades to figure out what the Bible really meant there, instead of what 20th-century-me-living-in-Philly-PA thinks it's saying there.

(And, yes. I do know this is the 21st century. I'm still more of a 20th century gal. lol)

All anyone needs is the Holy Spirit. No multiple languages, and no theological study will ever save a soul, but Jesusw Christ's sacrifice for us all.

As for what to study, if so inclined, to my great glee I discovered all I really need learn is Jesus Christ, and that is a lot. Hearing His teaching, that is studying guided bty the Holy Spirit, one will learn much , and we learn directly from God.

He says it, His burden is light, and His yoke is easy........learn of Him.......... What an holy invitation. For me it is irresistable. I pray it is the same for all, amen.

it always gets down to the basic Commandment of Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, soul, and mind'...

we have to always put Him first, above all humankind, above all situations, above our own desires,
we ain't sayin it easy, but, it does say that His yoke is easy and His burden is light....

when the Levites carried the Ark of the Covenant, tradition says that 'it was as if it weighed nothing'...
this does fulfill the scripture about His burden being light, but our trials and tribulations often seem
anything but light...

but, we acknowledge that our Heavenly Father knows best and He will not give to us anything that
we can't bear...

1Co 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
1Co 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Excellent and holy understanding, and as it is written we cannot know this testimony of Jesus Christ without possessing the spirit of prophesy, for the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophesy......Rev.

God bless you for this share.
