Yes, exactly. There is no consciousness of guilt unless there is a law. That's exactly why at the cross the law made sin fully sinful, rather than recognizing in it their own faults men turned it into a cudgel and cut and tore at each other until so blinded by their own evil they used the law to condemn the guiltless.
I need to go back and remember the original point lol

I also believe that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 cor 5 .19

Eph 2.14

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Thus no one can be in hell paying for there own sins . Sin is not the issue for unbelievers. That's the good news we are supposed to proclaim . The message of reconciliation.

So what sins will they be in hell paying for?

None. How could they be , when Jesus paid for the sins of the world ,including the sin of unbelief. He reconciled the whole world . Now you.ll ask why do they go to hell then ?
And no I'm not a universalist .

If you know the question, why not supply the answer?

No verse says people will pay for their own sins in hell .
No, but it kind of speaks to justice. Unless you don't think hell is a punishment, does God simply enjoy torturing the incredulous?

How can
Jesus paid for the sins of the world
no one can be in hell paying for there own sins
No verse says people will pay for their own sins in hell .
Your comments are totally contradictory. Why would we go to hell? To pay for our sins? They're already paid for!!!!!!!

Why/how could we "pay" for our sins if eternity is never enough? Your ideas are contradictory and don't make sense. Think before you post a reply, please.

Romans 3:23-26
King James Version
23 For all have sinned,( This part Jesus has dealt with ) and come short of the glory of God;( This part ,glorification is only dealt with after a person receives Jesus ( John 1. 12 ) and the atonement.
rom 5.11And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
rom 5.2

People go to hell why ? Because they refuse to believe the truth so as to be saved . Because ( Rom 5.2 ) Faith / believing is the only access to the grace ( the bridge if you will . The bridge is the only access and if people don't get on it ...no Glorification. Glorification is limited not the atonement.

That doesn't really say why they go to hell, what are they being saved from? What is God's wrath directed at them for?

Hell was created for the devil and fallen angels.
