Out of utmost respect should a document fall into a disrespectful environment...best summarized here:

"Why do we leave out the "o" G-d?

A Note About the Spelling of G-d's Name

Why do we leave out the "o" when referring to G-d?According to Jewish tradition we do not write out the Creator's name in any language, unless as part of a printed book which we know will be preserved with dignity and treated as holy. Refraining from writing out His name is a sign of reverence and awe for the Creator. If this name were to be written out and then, the paper on which it was written would become lost or destroyed, or even if it was brought into an unclean place, this would be showing disrespect and it would be a desecration of His name."

It is a long held Hebrew practice.
Where do we find that tradition...Long held superstition? and if a person adds a O. It removes dignity ? Dignity of what G D alone

Your ...dried up...comment is comical and void of common sense.
The effects of spiritual water baptism ...does not change unless the person allows such to happen.

Stick with bible language rather than trying to add to or detract from.
I not the one that is trying to sell the gospel in a bottle of water. Water represent the Spirit the Spirit is not literal water.. as the mystical fountain of youth .That's just a fictional story .What a person needs is a new spirit. There is more than enough water in a human body..To much a person could drown.

I would rather look to the foundation of the ceremonial law. Not the new innovation you are trying to sell. Destroy the foundation of any doctrine then you make any thing work even water that evaporates . Not a very lengthy sign . I think the idea is all dried up makes its hard to make mud without it..

speculation at it's best...which is actually ill advised and contradicted in scripture

please remember that Christ had not died, not been buried, not yet risen so what did the thief fall away from according to you?

further, baptism was not yet instituted as we understand it (well those that actually do understand it) so what baptism are you referring to?

John's? that was not ever saving baptism, but go study it and hopefully see it

but hang on...THERE IS NO SAVING BAPTISM

A righteous life which existed before Christ.
You need to study the Bible..

You left out a word...there is no saving without baptism.

listen, you baptism saves folks are insulting others with your study the Bible

it is BECAUSE we study the Bible we know that you are wrong in what you state

I am actually baptized, but I was already saved by the blood of Christ when that happened

I cannot emphasize enough that water is not the agent that oneness people claims it is

I'm not going to carry the conversation with you any further because it is an utter waste of time and I do not need to suffer the insults from you either.

study the Bible yourself but preferably in the presence of people who actually understand it and have not been brainwashed by teachers who err and do harm

study the Bible yourself but preferably in the presence of people who actually understand it and have not been brainwashed by teachers who err and do harm

...and you are wrong...also insulting to common sense and G-d's word....study scripture...don't rely on what I or anyone else says;

Mark 1:4 tells us that baptism is for the remission of sins....."John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins."

Acts 2; 38-40.... Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost....."save yourself".

Acts 22;16..... (Saul required to be baptized)...."And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

Matt.3;11...

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit [] and fire.

Matt 3;14,15... But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fullfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Matt., 28: 18-20... And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16;16... He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

I Peter 3;21....... The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

John 3:5.... Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Gal 3;26-27..... For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ

Acts 2: 38-40.... Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [a]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this [b]perverse generation

Acts 9; 14,15,16,18..... And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
Acts 8:12...... But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Acts 19:5-6..... When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Acts 22;16... And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Rom. 6;3,4...know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 ....Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

There are more.
But, if you don't accept these of G-d's word no others will help you, probably.

You are wrong;......Yes He did say be baptized!; (study scripture before omitting G-d's intent)

John asked..."why must it be"? Christ said;
Mark 1:4 tells us that baptism is for the remission of sins....."John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins."

Amen! The Bible makes it clear that man is saved by grace through faith and not by works. (Ephesians 2:8,9) In Acts 10, we see that these Gentiles received the gift of the Holy Spirit and were manifesting the spiritual gift of tongues (which is only for the body of Christ - 1 Corinthians 12) after believing the gospel but before being baptized (Acts 10:44-47). Now baptism was not considered an "optional extra" for these Gentiles. It was a command (Acts 10:48) that they were expected to obey. However, it was not obedience to this command that saved them, but their believing in Christ (Acts 10:43).

Baptism is the expected initial outward response to the gospel, but it is not a part of the gospel itself (1 Corinthians 1:17; 15:1-4). There are a handful of "alleged" proof texts which are often cited to prove that the Bible makes baptism mandatory for salvation. A careful examination of each of these texts in context will show that none of them prove that baptism is absolutely required for salvation, although they do prove that baptism was an assumed initiatory response to the gospel of salvation. In other words, these texts only prove that baptism is regularly associated with conversion and salvation, rather than absolutely required for salvation.

Why is it that we can't simply BELIEVE the word of God and act accordingly? I will tell you why! It is because we do not allow the Holy Spirit to operate in our hearts and lives. He is the comforter and guide Jesus sent to us to help us know the way more clearly in the word and in prayer. In the end all the debates, arguments, misunderstandings, hurt feelings will amount to nothing more than a dunghill! A PILE OF POO!

Water baptism is like eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Christ. Some people understand that flesh and blood symbolizes something else and others take it literally. Same with water baptism.
