Oh, that yoke of the Mosaic Ceremonial law? Yes, that for sure was a yoke.

However, the Ten Commandments are never a "grievous" yoke to those who love Jesus - only to those who HATE Him and HATE His law and HATE having to deny themselves and take up the Cross daily and follow Him.

one warns sinners of what not to do , the other leads to righteousness and creates a person who would never commit adultery because it teaches then to have a pure heart.

“Thou shalt not” is for this type of person who is ruled by lust

To overcome sin we can’t follow a law to restrain sin we need to believe the truth that teaches us to overcome its root in our heart that way we don’t need to be told “ Thou shalt not commit adultery “ because it’s not in our heart to do it

we need to become new and think like Jesus taught and can’t remain in this group

“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;”

those are the type of folks you have to tell “ don’t kill or you’ll be put to death “ “ don’t lie “ “ don’t commit adultery “ we have to change on the inside so we don’t desire to kill , lie , cheat and steal ect once we do we no longer need to be taught “ don’t lie Cheat and steal “ the law can’t save us it’s not for us in Christ his word is

Y'know what Jesus did here? He fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 42:21 KJV.

"He will MAGNIFY THE LAW and make it honourable".

When you put a magnifying glass on something, does it make it disappear, or does it make it more evident and clear? So, why claim the Spirit of the Law does away with the Letter of the Law?

Ceremonial Law? :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

The "ceremonial" law was only a grievous yoke to lambs and bulls.

It was the means to forgiveness and Grace for the REAL YOKE that actually WAS grievous. Which is the 10 commandments.


The Lord summed up what the 10 commandments say in Matthew 5. If you don't see a grievous yoke which neither we nor or fathers could bear explained by the Lord, then how could you see it by me saying it, and quoting scripture???

If we could only Love the Lord our God with all of our hearts, minds and souls and love our neighbors as we love ourselves we'd be in line with all of the commandments.

If we could be Perfect as our Father in Heaven is Perfect there would be no Yoke too grievous.

God has declared two things to those who believe Him, He declares we will be holy and we will be perfect. Now we all know no man is perfect other than Jesus Yeshua, therefore I believe these declarations are not commands but promises for Who is it That performs the work in us once we come to our Savior? Not too difficult to understand for any with faith.
