Since Jesus is the beginning and end, why is he also eternal, and where do the beginning and end fit into eternity?
The Greek words usually confuse unless studied carefully. The Beginning or ORIGIN. and the Ending or (always of the end of some act or state, but not of the end of a period of time).....Eternal.

From the first particle of matter in the physical to the last particle of matter in the physical...
Time as we know it is the relationship between our location on earth and the relative position of the sun. If you're in heaven without a physically aging body and no longer subject to the planet spinning you around or moving you around the sun, then what time is it and how long will you live?

Colossians 1:15 says that the Son was the firstBORN over all CREATION.
And what that doesn't say or mean is that Jesus was the first "created" over all creation. It doesn't contradict the truth of Jesus eternal pre-existence as God.
