Please supply scriptures that explicitly reference this belief.

Ok,

John 3:16-19 speaks of belief in Christ and he did not come to condemn the world but to save it.
The great commission Found in Matthew 28:18-20 to make disciples notice that baptism here as Jesus is speaking is in context to Discipleship

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Jesu continued His earthly ministry three years in which he taught them but many if not all did not fully understand why Jesus came to die Until the resurrection all Gospel was written after the resurrection not before.

After Jesus died and rose from the dead we see HE Jesus was with them 40 days before the ascension to Heaven. The First Time He appeared to them we see in John chapter 20: 22 which John's account is very important because HE was an eyewitness unlike Mark and Luke, they received their information from Peter and Paul and other Apostles.

Also, read John chapter one where John the Baptist says Jesus is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirt. = the baptism of Christ
Also, the word baptism used also means to enclothe with or emerge depending on the context as it is given in the passage or chapter or verse.

Salvation as we see established in John 3:16-19 and Acts 2: 32, 38-38 again in Roman 10:9-11
Those disciples Like Peter were not waiting in Acts to be saved they were waiting for Power to be witness as Jesu told them in Acts 1:8

What I see from the scripture below is that a spiritual reality occurs when a person obeys God's command to be baptized into Jesus' death. It is not a symbolic thing. Many disagree. However, it is easy to visualize being covered in His blood in the action of being buried into his death when a person is placed under the water in baptism.

Rom 6:3-6
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death...

Please understand I am not one who says that there is no blessing in Obeying the Lord in water baptism. Yet. we are saved by grace through faith, not of works( water baptism) lest any man should boast. Baptism is symbolic and that is not some small action done by the believer. Read Romans 6:3-11 is a symbolic language by Paul.

do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is all symbolic but powerfully important. the baptism speaks of one dying to the world and the life they now live is to please Christ. Baptism is not the grace of God it is an action you do in obedience after you ARE SAVE.

This discussion is specifically about when a person initially receives the Holy Ghost. As far as your statement that I promote baptismal regeneration, that is not true.
You cannot separate the receiving of the gift of the Holy Ghost from regeneration. They are simultaneous. So if you falsely claim that water baptism is necessary for receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, then you are also promoting baptismal regeneration.

And to prove that your doctrine is FALSE, all we need is Acts chapter 10, which totally refutes this nonsense. So what was the sequence of events in that chapter?

1. THE GOSPEL WAS PREACHED AND BELIEVED
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

2. THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST WAS GIVEN TO GENTILES
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

3. WATER BAPTISM WAS COMMANDED AND ADMINISTERED
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

This is also the exact sequence of events in Acts 2. As I have told you several times, the baptism of the Samaritans was a special case since they were disciples of John the Baptist, and had not believed on the Lord Jesus Christ.

So after reading this, you should inform everyone that you are folding your tent and walking away from your false doctrine. That is called "repentance". But if you persist in promoting error you will give account for perverting the Gospel.

You persist in saying I believe you have to be water baptized before you can actually receive the Holy Ghost. I have never said that. So please stop making that statement.

What I've said is that repentance, water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus and receiving the Holy Ghost, as they did on the Day of Pentecost, are all necessary components for acquiring one's spiritual rebirth. Scripture confirms this point. Scripture also confirms when through Jesus' name one's sins are remitted. (Acts 2:38, 22:16)

Some receive the Holy Ghost before getting water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 2, 10)
Some got water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and on the same occasion receive the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2, 19)
Some got water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and days afterward they receive the Holy Ghost. (Acts 8)

I take it you meant to say Ephesus disciples. However, you continue to refuse to accept that Paul's question alone gives clarification to the fact that believing in Jesus' and His sacrifice did not automatically provide a person with the Holy Ghost.
