Why is that good and why is the Holy Spirit left out of guiding the believer? Here is the reason the law is good and who it is for.

1 Timothy 1:8-10

8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

yep. those people still need the schoolmaster. to lead them to Christ.

Just trying to understand your point here.

I agree the law could not make us or Israel morally good. but the law is in itself a morally good standard. In other words If you kept the law perfectly you would be morally good.

The problem is the law can't change you. only Christ can.

Does that line up with your thoughts?

yes. The law can not even tell you how to be moral. But as we see, it can make us THINK we are moral.

Do I have to give a sermon and explain every detail everytime I post? People should know. I was posting to EG who I know knows better. People should know their Bible and should not have to explain themselves in every little detail everytime they post. Thereby always having to feed people milk.
you still do not understand what I am saying do you?

Have you not read about Jonah, having a fit over God granting forgiveness to the ninevites. Jonah a little self-righteous, there read Chapter 4
It's not because of self righteousness but rather the fact that Jonah effectively became a false prophet because what he said didn't come true. He knew it from the start thus the reason he went the other way. Would God treat him as nice if he were self righteous?

The only way to be truly moral is to accept by faith the imputed righteousness of Christ which transforms us by His Spirit into his image. Thus the only way to truly keep the law perfectly is to look to Christ in Faith.

Are we on the same page?

What I am seeing from you people is you want to get rid of the law and live by your own conscience. Your own rules. How do you explain the verses in the NT that clearly tell us to keep the commandments?

Claim down. Some are just here to test your patience. The more they ignore what you said probably the closer you are coming towards the truth.
Some have a congregation, who are comfortable with their teachings, watching and to report to. They are very used to no questions asked and to be right all the time so it's kind of difficult, you know.

I believe that the person who truly has Faith will by the power of the Spirit overcome all sin. not overnight but as they learn to trust Jesus more they become more like Him.

Thus the person who has Faith will inevitably become a law keeper.

Israel tried to keep the law in their own strength to earn their salvation.

But we keep our eyes on Jesus and by faith we end up keeping the law.

We attain where they did not because we do so by faith and not by works.

The law is like a massive mountain that cannot be climbed.

Israel tried and tried and failed so they invented ways to fool themselves into thinking they had climbed it.

But we by Faith in Jesus are given help by the Spirit and thus are actually able to climb the mountain.

All we have to do is have faith and follow the same path up that Jesus took. there you will find a rope/spirit and hand holds that were made by Christ before you.

You do not see any such thing

You see people who understand the law is inadequate to do what you claim it can do.

You do not want to follow the law of Christ, You want to follow the law of moses, and think your righteous from it. God gave many commands, Not just ten, And not just in the OT and not just to Moses. In fact Jesus himself made it clear. ALL THE LAW and prophets are fulfilled in two commands, Love God and Love your neighbor.

your trying to find righteousness (moral) by the law. You will not find it, You at most as I said will THINK you found it, and judge those who try to help you find true righteousness,

yeah he knows well. He still does not understand what it was I was saying to him, yet demands I listen to him.

Its sad he judges someone, when he himself is doing the very thing he is judging someone else of doing.

Show me in any of my posts where I have said any of these accusations? If you can't then they are nothing but false accusations. Do you believe Jesus is the I AM?

yes, we do this by keeping our eyes on Christ, Not some law given to lead us to Christ.

If we are trying to live by the schoolmaster we are stuck on milk as was said earlier. And can not find the meat. (if we are saved at all)

show you a post? Last the last post you made making a false claim against me.

Jesus is the I AM. He called Abraham righteous before the law was even given, What made Abraham a friend of his (morally Good)? What caused Abraham to do moral good. to do the work he did, to obey the COMMANDS of God?

Thre was another evil time when so called christians every one did wht was right in their own eyes instead of following God

Deu 12:8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

Judg 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Psa 36:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
Psa 36:2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
Psa 36:3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
Psa 36:4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

Psa 36:12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

Hey Lao and e.g

May I suggest that your opposition is more perceived than literal.

As e.g. can testify we had the same issue until I realized by some of the posts that eg worded things different to me but pretty much meant the same thing.

I know Lao and I am pretty sure He and I are on the same page.

Just a thought. Its hard when you can't speak face to face to understand better the other persons point.

Blessings both of you.

I have never said we are saved by keeping the law which you claim I have said and taught.

It is the I AM who spoke the 10 commandments and put them on stone making the 10 C the commandments of Jesus

No I have never claimed that. Proving you still are not listening to a thing I say.

Can you open your eyes even for a minute, and stop trying to defend yourself and just listen?
