Whoever told you that the Cherubim (singular Cherub) were not angels misled you.

They are a very special class of angels, since it is their privilege to always surround the throne of God and praise Him.

Among the angelic beings there are (a) Cherubim, (b) Seraphim, (c) archangels, (c) holy angels, (d) evil angels, and (f) demons. And in both the classes of angels (holy and evil) there are hierarchies of authority. Michael is the archangel who is over all the holy angels, and Satan (formerly Lucifer) is the prince or king of the evil angels and devils (or demons). And there are in fact huge numbers of angels in both groups.
Do you think that if they were the same The Bible would differentiate between them? I do believe, however, that they are heavenly beings. Honestly, I need to study more on it just thinking out loud.

Where do you find that cherubs are angels? You have to go outside Scripture to argue this. They are all sons of God, but all angels? I’m not seeing it in Scripture.
Angels in Scripture are often described as winged creatures (e.g. the flying angel in Rev 14) and the Cherubim (Heb kerubim) -- also called living creatures -- are very definitely winged creatures. See Ellicott's commentary below.

Strong's Concordance (3742)
kerub: probably an order of angelic beings

Original Word: כְּרוּב
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: kerub
Phonetic Spelling: (ker-oob')
Definition: probably an order of angelic beings

ELLICOTT'S COMMENTARY
And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

(18) Two cherubims.—“Cherubims,” or rather cherubim, had been known previously in one connection only—they had been the guardians of Eden when Adam and Eve were driven forth from it (Genesis 3:24). It is generally allowed that in that passage, as in most others where the word occurs, living beings, angels of God, are intended. But not all angels are cherubim. The cherubim constitute a select class, very near to God, very powerful, very resolute, highly fitted to act as guards. It is probably with this special reference that the cherubic figures were selected to be placed upon the mercy seat—they guarded the precious deposit of the two tables, towards which they looked (Exodus 25:20).

Like I said, outside of Scripture. I think we should stick with what we know. There are angels, cherubims, and seraphims. All are sons of God. I can’t go on probably.

Two kinds of angels..

Sons of God as messengers of the gospel ( angels) are those not seen as minstering spirits of God's truth . .

Sends us out with the gospel two by two, the other kind of messengers, to represent the work of the father and the Son of God. Sent as apostles to strengthen and encourage us. Sons of God as new creatures sent as messengers of the gospel administered by the Spirit of truth that indwells the believers,

1 John 3:1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Again, he sends us out as apostles two by two, we should be careful who we are sharing our gospel ideas with. They could as strangers be send by God ,So that we could both benefit in hearing the gospel. . iron sharpening iron

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers:(beleivers as that seen ) for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Well, c'mon Dino, that's a silly question, that would depend on the size of the pin obviously, ...hello?
7 times 70. . 490. on a medium size camel pin.

Matthew 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God

It's a pity that the KJV translators chose to bungle the plurality of the transliterated words.

How can it be "outside of Scripture" when the Cherubim are clearly described as winged angelic beings surrounding the throne of God, and also being placed over the Ark of the Covenant with their wings extended? Both the Cherubim and the Seraphim have wings.

The Bible says "Let all the angels of God worship Him". There are only two categories of living creatures who worship God -- men and angels. There is no third group as you (and many commentators) imagine.

Angelic beings? Does scripture say this? Of course I know that cheribums have wings. It’s stated in scripture. I’m sticking with what Scripture actually says. If scripture states that cherubs are angels, then I’ll change my stance to fit the Bible.

Secret select class? I would suggest we walk by faith the unseen eternal not after what the eyes see like wings. Placing wings in the holy place not seen the eternal. Simply shows the abomination of desolation. Things seen, the temporal in the place of the unseen, the eternal

Absent from the things seen the temporal is to present with the things unseen the eternal

2 Corinthians 5:6-8 King James Version (KJV) Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Wings like wind represent the spirit of truth . Winds the unseen spirit of truth. . not wings the temporal.

Matthew 8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

In my search for Truth I believe it is necessary to identify what I am seeking and I believe you all can help me by pointing out doctrines that are within The Bible to eventually do an in depth study of each, thank you for your input in advance.
You don't need people for this, you only need a concordance. There is a wonderful one for free at e-Sword.com.

I have found many doctrines of our church that are not bible based, like the elimination of Enoch as scripture or the addition of Christmas and Easter. To follow up on these doctrines I found it necessary to search the web for the church councils that they were added to our church's doctrine and explore why and how they were added.

  • 1.a belief or set of beliefs held and taught by a Church, political party, or other group:"the doctrine of predestination"

Here are some I am aware of, I'm not sure if these count as doctrines, haha:

1. God
2. Angels
3. Hell
4. Tithe
5. The Church
6. Holy Spirit
7. Jesus Christ
8. Humanity
9. Salvation
10. Creation
There are doctrines concerning all of these, yes. Entire libraries have been written on various Bible doctrines! I might post some that I feel are more important here later, but I will recommend you a little book that is a good overview of a lot of Bible doctrines:

https://www.abeka.com/abekaonline/bookdescription.aspx?sbn=303011&childSbn=101222

Not a perfect book. I don't agree with all of it. But it is an EXTREMELY good summary.

Why did Paul say that the feasts are a shadow of things to come?
The feasts give a history and a prophecy about our salvation that centers on Christ. The firs four were prophecies of Christ that has been filled, and the last three is yet to come.

"Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." (Colossians 2:16-17 NIV)

Paul is saying that Christ is the reality of our salvation, we are saved through Christ.

A shadow is an accurate outline of what it shadows but not the reality of what it outlines.

No, that is the name of the Christian publishing company that puts it out.

The title is "Bible Doctrines for Today." It's a student handbook, very easy to understand and with KJV Scripture right in the book so you can read it for yourself, and it is quite dense with information.
