I believe that we, as Christians are being called to come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord. I think we have all become way too comfortable in the world.

I came up with a good idea of how to help the Church to get out of debt together and then set aside monies for the future
generation for schooling and housing needs so that they don't have to disobey God by borrowing for these items.

To start the program in your Church you'll need to get at least 10 families who can afford to give at least $100.00 above
their current giving. All of this money will be applied to one of the mortgages of which family you choose first. Then after
their mortgage is paid off, apply their mortgage money plus the extra to the next family's mortgage. Continue doing this
until all of the original 10 families are mortgage free.

You could do it by longest member or draw names from a hat. Whatever is decided upon. After this is accomplished, then
begin to put the monies aside so that you can be self sufficient and will be able to aid other members for large ticket items.
This is important because I have reason to believe that borrowing money is one of the ways the evil men of Revelation 18
trade in slaves and souls of men.

Actually, I believe all sin or disobedience opens one up to their snares. Consider the poor man left for dead in the good
Samaritan story. Jericho is a symbol of iniquity, hence the" ich" in it's name.

Thoughts??????
30% of all working-aged people become disabled for 5 months or longer sometime in their working lives. Let us assume one out of those ten families going into this idea becomes disabled during the time everyone is doing this.

What would you want done, if that person was you, and you were much further down the list for receiving the money?

What would you prefer doing, if you weren't that person, and already had your house paid off? Would you really think it's no big thing to pay that person's mortgage off after you were done in the investment?

And, I'm not saying you wouldn't pay off that person's mortgage. I'm asking how likely is it that you wouldn't hold a grudge against that person even if you did?

I think this would be nice, at first, but as people start owning their homes, they'll keep coming up with reasons the people further down the list aren't quite as important once their house is paid off. I see this as a good scheme, if you're on top of the list, and a bad scheme if you're on the bottom of the list. Either way, it does struck me as scheming.

I'm more of the type of person who gives money to people, instead of loans it. And I only give what won't hurt, if something went terribly wrong financially, and I remember what I did give. I don't like being indebted to someone else with the concept, "You owe me." I'm too prone to remember the debt when I need the money.

So, nope. Don't see this as a good idea, and don't see it as a way to pay a mortgage off faster.

The scheme your proposing sounds similar to a chain letter. It has zero chance of working, and even so would take years to just pay off the first person's mortgage. The tenth person would have to wait a least a 100 years before his mortgage is paid off, by then his house would've been eaten by termites.
Yeesh! Buy a brick house.

Okay, my mortgage, I have been informed, has "strange attachments" to our bodies. The people who hold our mortgage are of the , "illumined" variety. They are masters at "double speak". We know that the Bible calls our bodies "houses" at times 2Corinthians 5:1. We cannot sell our house without also selling our bodies. If these things are happening to us, they are probably happening to other people as well. That is the reason to pay off the mortgages before moving to a sparsely populated state.

Remember that the Lord told us that "they have made merchandise of you (2Peter 2:3). We are sleep walking and falling all over the place without knowing it. I know this isn't as much information as you would like, but I don't want people to paruse the post, and miss the important stuff. So I keep it brief. Okay?
Oh man! Should have gotten a mortgage the old-fashioned way -- bank!

Reply to Nehemiah 6:

I am not superstitious, as you have suggested. I find, as I share things, things for which I give Scriptural documentation, that the "Church" doesn't have ears to hear.

I don't want to come off as high minded, but you are just like my family, who also can't hear what I believe God is calling us to heed.

I will just drop the subject because I'm clearly not communicating my thoughts in an understandable way.
Troub, don't take this as a scold, or even part of this thread. Just s'plaining how to work this site, so it's easier for you.

When you read someone's post, right under it, it says "Reply" or "Reply with Quotes." If you click "Reply with Quotes," it first includes what the person said. If you go under what is said in the reply box, you can write your reply right there. The beauty of it is you don't have to explain who you're replying to, (like "Reply to Nehemiah 6:"), everyone will know who you're replying to. Plus, you don't have to keep scrolling up and down the entire thread when you forget what the person said. And best part is the person doesn't have to go back to see what he/she said that caused you to reply like that.

Win/win/win.

Oh, oh, oh, while I'm on my helpful-hint frame of mind, another thing people don't get immediately on this site, that is a good thing to get sometimes. Color-coded user names. If someone's user name is blue, that means the person is a guy. If it's pink, she's a gal. And, if it's any other color, feel free to start a post on that one, because none of us have seen any other colors, so it would be fun to see. lol

Well thank you for your honest input. LOL
But believe it or not, we did use a bank. I think the original mortgage was okay, but when we foolishly refinanced a couple of years later we, (I guess) got snagged.

It was informally suggested that we were in trouble. I don't think the Church is awake to the predators around us. I still can't convince my own family of what is going on. The Lord doesn't tell us about being sober to entertain us, but to prevent our hurt.

How we prevent being harmed by (them), is by obeying EVERY WORD GOD SPOKE TO US.

There is a verse (1John 5:18), where the Lord tells us that "We know whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of him keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."

We, as Christians in America are asleep. We were either put to sleep through sin, or ignorant teaching.

The same people who are controlling the seminaries, are also those involved in making merchandise out of us.

So do yourself a favor, and obey God! Peace!

I'm sorry but I'm really trying to understand you here, who is (them)? Like are trying to say that there is some elite group controlling your financial system?

All throughout the New testament we are warned to beware of evil workers. I cannot tell you who they are, but ye shall know "them" by their fruits. I do know the groups' names, but will not divulge them here for the safety of my family. Okay?
