You're looking for "the spider"?
So this post was about someone specific?
First it was about "them".
Now it's about "the spider"?
There is never going to be a seamless, peaceful, fluid, fluffy cloud, turbulence free time on an internet message board, that is open to discussion from many with diverse views.
You're trying take something that is a constant on CC, and any message board for that matter, and crystalize it into some temporary thing that is the result of a "Them" or a "the spider".

And then statements like below try to crystalize what comes with having an forum for broad discussion, and tries to crystalize it into some sort of spiritual lesson this board needs to learn, and once it's learned then we'll achieve message board bliss, seamlessness, and peace.

So I mean, your post was indeed about a "Them", and a "fly", that are causing all this supposed persecution/whatever.
You're trying to pin that on a group, as a way of ousting/changing/black balling them.
Then if that little group isn't changed/removed...Then what?
I don't think you're going to find a seamless, totally peaceful forum ever.
It's just the nature of this thing.
And creating a thread that is about finding the "them" and the "fly" just creates even more divisions, because then people start viewing one group as "the fly", and the other group as the "non-flies".

But you're still trying to crystalize what is just part of having a forum, and trying to turn it into some sort of temporary spiritual lesson that will be remedied, thus leading to some sort of conflict free environment.
Stephen, there has been conflict on these forums since day one.
It's the nature of it.
If there were a heavier mod footprint with more infractions/bans, as you discussed in your "obvious" posts, then there wouldn't be anyone left on these forums. Then the conflict would be from folks complaining about bans, and their friends getting banned, and the modfia, who won't allow for discussion.

It's not about what we say, is it? Shouldn't be, anyway. It IS about what He says to us.
Again, this thread really needs an infusion of Love, it needs an understanding of spiritual blessing, that only comes from God. Right now, fuel is just being laid to the fire and it's not doing anything but fire up tempers, which lead to accusations, which lead to hateful comments, spite and the rest. Remember, too, we,as Christians are NEW creatures, so we are spiritual beings once born of God, we are not our own, we are His, and, we are credited His righteousness and we, who believe in Him through the faith given by Him are with Him living in us, showing us His ways, teaching us His truths, revealing to us understanding of things that are infinitely beyond what our human minds could EVER possibly hope to understand. LOL, in my way of doing peacekeeping, I bring in my 'faith' doctrine for understanding God more, but it's the truth, to me, anyway, and, I do NOT accuse you of go my way or the highway, I simply do not put up with anyone trying to say that my faith is wrong and when I say that you don't see God in your life doing things because you don't have faith to see His using you through gifts given you, His child, then, that does NOT mean God is void, He is THERE, in you, and, as long as you are a PURE VESSEL, God IS using you.
LOL, you REALLY think, just because you don't believe in the gifts--a doctrine issue, NOT salvation--being done through you to others to save them from incurable cancer, etc. they are NOT being done. Don't be naive !!!
God works out His plans for us, who are His, and, He works through you even when you are not seeing His work being done, just is.
But, yeah, ultimately, it's faith in Him, in His Son dying on the cross that saved us by His grace, through faith, that BINDS us together on c.c., as Christians ! ! ! ! We are Christ's, don't, just because someone teaches a doctrine YOU see as false call their teaching blasphemy, right? Can't you see that the Lord REVEALS things to others at DIFFERENT times than you, and, that He is teaching them differently, working on them. YOU get on those who do NOT believe in Christ. THAT is your job, not any of this self-righteous, holier than Thou, pity party stuff that absolutely is NOT what God wants us to do in our life, and, He does NOT want us to mock either. The nature of chat and forums is much different.
There is a very fluid, constant nature to chat.
In the forums, it's more of a delayed back and forth, with some more room for give and take.
I really don't think you understand what you're asking for stephen.
So many say they want the heavier mod footprint in the forums, but then that footprint falls on their friends, or even them. Then they cause conflict over that.
The forums is a place for a give and take of ideas with more depth.

Also, please don't post any inappropriate links in your chat profile or in the forums, or in the chat rooms (e.g., links to anti-Christian sites, sites with inappropriate content, sites promoting other religions, cults, or doctrines contrary to the Bible).
