At least admit to yourself that you cannot answer correctly. You give a non-answer because you do not have sufficient understanding of what the bible says regarding how we are saved.

You do not separate literal interpretation from figurative interpretation. You mix the real with fantasy and create a false reality. Without a solid foundation on correct biblical soteriology you are bound to toss to and fro on doctrine.

What then is prophesying in your understanding?
Speaking words in the power of Holy Spirit.

Smith Wigglesworth is the best example for me to give to those who don’t understand.

He didn’t ever prepare a message. And he didn’t start until the anointing came. That’s prophecy when speaking a message from God that just flows.

Nothing wrong with preaching/teaching. Am just explaining the difference.

]Did you ever try to find out how many percentage of prophecies spoken in

I don’t understand your question wolf.

What please is the different between the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of the father?

The Spirit of Jesus is the gospel of salvation. The new birth. And I offer this...why do you say, ask Jesus into your heart? Without the Spirit of Christ you are none of His.
The Spirit of Father is Holy Spirit. Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Power. Jesus depended on Father wholly. Amen?

And please show me any living person who has the same power then Jesus had.

Anyone who is ministering in Holy Spirit, or moving in a gift is showing the same power Jesus moved in. But, for now we are in part. The whole body of Christ is found in the fullness. We all are One body, one Spirit.

If you read 1.John3,2 , then you will know that we are spiritual beeings, but this will revealed when Jesus comes back.

I agree on an individual basis wolf.

I'm sorry I do not know who Art Montgomery is, however, IF the Holy Spirit has empowered them they had to believe in Jesus 1 cor 12:3 says:
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

the context of Acts 10: 47 is they Christian Jews did not think gentiles could be saved or were allowed to be baptized in water as they were.

In addition, Peter said in Acts chapter two after the people asked them what must we do? verse 37.

Peter said in verse 38

" Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Repentance is the first thing. Jesus said No man comes to the Father but by me. John 14:6

I too have ministered to Muslims If they received the Holy Spirit they have believed in Christ in their hearts. They received Power to be a witness as Jesus said we would in Acts 1: 8 If they are resistant to Jesus as Lord they can not be saved. God knows thier heart.
In acts 10 the gentiles got the Holy Spirit before salvation.
I didnt say it the bible says it

You ABSOLUTELY are peddling religious blather.....NO ONE dies, goes to hell, comes back and then get to get saved and or witness about it......
For those with that testimony your opinion is a nothing burger.
Just like in your case where someone has a weak doctrinal case against what you claim to be your salvation experience.
You would just chuckle and leave their presence shaking your head.

Ones testimony is their Jordan.
They dont wonder about it. It becomes who they are.
Yes many have died and come back.
Tons of instances.
AUTHENTICATED by Gods word.
Wishing it away works only in your circles

Whoa, Absolutely!

Salvation always comes first, then the Holy Spirit. In Acts 10 the gentiles believed the gospel message and then the Holy Spirit was poured out on them just like on the Jews in Acts 2.

It was water baptism that was done after the Holy Spirit baptism in this case, NOT salvation.

Acts 10:19-48 King James Version (KJV)
19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Then the entire book of acts should just be removed. As well as any mention of saved men operating in the spirit.
Heck just remove the nt.
Absolutely,

No worries, no matter what people believe, God's Truth still reigns. When we get upset with others that do not believe like us, we are putting ourselves in a position of quenching the Holy Spirit.

It does not say that.
It says "while peter yet spake these words..."
Thats when they spoke in tongues.
BEFORE they even had a chance to repent or pray.
Peter was still speaking.
Thats just what it says.
...and yes, sooner or later that bible will mess with oir doctrine.

It aint right. I tells ya...it aint right...that Holy Spirit moved on them before salvation....it just aint right!

I am.
Sitting here cool,calm,rested and ready.
No worries.
No anger
No anxiety.
Been in the word too many years to be moved by a mere debate.
My job is easy,to be in the word, know the word, speak the word.
Any challenge at that point is against the word, not me personally.
No worries.

It was the gospel message of Yeshua/Jesus - His death, burial and resurrection from the dead and remission of sins that Peter was preaching.

While hearing the gospel message, they believed and the Holy Spirit fell on them. They actually already believed anything that Peter would tell them because they had gathered earnestly waiting Peter's arrival to hear his words. Their hearts were ready to receive the gospel message of salvation.

Their hearts were right and full of faith.... Salvation comes first, then the Holy Spirit.

If the Holy Spirit can be given BEFORE the gospel message of Salvation, then there was no need for Peter to be there.

I've often pondered what would have happened to me if the Holy Spirit was given to me before the Blood and Body of Yeshua/Jesus.........

I would NOT have been a NEW Wineskin and I would have burst!

I guess we could see it differently yet lets see if Wisdom is just given or if it has a beginning “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding” it would seem this would be something that must be gone after also. Would you agree? And I would have to include the gift of prophesy as public speaking is learned by many.
That would make sense, if "wisdom" were among the gifts of the Spirit. It isn't; the gift is "the word of wisdom"; i.e. a word from God spoken into a specific situation at a specific time.

Also, I don't accept that "public speaking" is "prophecy" (prophesying). What Daniel did was not public speaking. What Agabus did was not public speaking. The scriptural witness just doesn't support that view. As I see it, the "public speaking" interpretation was invented by ungifted people who wanted to pretend that they had the gift of prophecy.

That is not what Acts 10 teaches. You are completely wrong. You completely miss the teaching of the chapter you cite. The Holy Spirit does not teach what you espouse from Acts 10.

I thought the fact that Cornelius was accepted by God before he trusted in Jesus was what absolutely was talking about.

Isn't it that all the world is under the realm of the blood of Jesus, but needs to be awakened by the gospel message?

And I thought the question was about Muslims being baptized before faith developed? Not salvation.

I might be wrong too. Lol
