Hi Allen, do not quite understand what you are disagreeing with, Bruce Jenner was possibly the greatest athlete of his generation. How did he gain all that strength and endurance in four years? If you are suggesting PED then you may be correct, however that does not change the fact that he out shined the competition.
I'm sorry you are unable to understand the OP.
Do you have someone at home that can help you?

Some of these posts are kind of strange for Christians. The bible clearly addresses male to male homosexuality, males acting female, and woman to woman homosexuality, the word of God makes it plain that all of these are a sin against God. God would never call something a sin that a person has no choice in, we are not sinners because of our color, our gender, our looks, out physical ability, out mental ability. Someone mentioned a transgender Christian, sorry folks but that is a contradiction, one can be a Christian or a transgender but not both at the same time.
Question:

Someone is a practicing homosexual.
He repents. He is no longer practicing.
Is he saved?

Someone is saved but is immature and is practicing.
He dies but didn't understand in his mind that it was a sin and believed in Jesus.
Is he saved?

There are so many different circumstances, I don't know how we can say who is or isn't saved.

To me it would have to be a practicing homosexual, who understands what he's doing, DOES NOT CARE, and does not care to change or is sorry for his actions, or life-style or cares to repent.

I keep hearing folks saying, you cannot lose your salvation by sinning. That is a decision that is entirely in the hands of God, Jesus told us that many will try to enter in but will not make it, and that not all those who call Him Lord will enter in. My attitude is that I do not want to sin and find out what God will do.

Amazing the depths people are willing to use a emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually damaged person to promote their beliefs!

Pray for Bruce. He really could use the healing balm, not the gossip to prove-a-point.

Lol, what am I really?
You clearly misunderstood the whole OP?
Try reading it again and put the emphasis where I put it, not where you want to put it.
It's my OP, I know what I wanted to say and it's clear to a clear minded person.

Hi Fran, a practicing homosexual who really comes to Christ and rejects homosexuality and follows Christ IS SAVED. A saved person who was once a homosexual and falls back into it, if he repents and means it then he is forgiven. If a homosexual makes a confession of faith in Christ but sees nothing wrong in homosexuality is not really saved because he had no conviction of sin from the Spirit. A homosexual or any other sin that a person hangs onto and refuses to repent and come to faith in God through Jesus Christ is lost.

Yes, if he repents and honors God as Lord.

Didn't understand in his mind he was practicing a sin? C'mon. We all have the knowledge of good and evil. And we know that it's a sin to live a homosexual lifestyle or transgender whatever you want to call it. Just like a child knows it's a sin to lie.

All good questions.

And we could apply these to all the works of the flesh including causing strife, having malice towards others, slandering others in the body of Christ. Being envious. Having periodic outbursts of anger fueled by the flesh. All of these as well as many others are all in the same lists of the works of the flesh.

Somehow or other - these don't seem to get the attention that the sexual sins do.

All works of the flesh bring destruction of some sort in this life and we will not experience the inheritance of the life that is ours in Christ while on this earth if we walk by them and instead of the spirit.

- no matter how much we go to church, no matter how much we witness, no matter how much of the bible we memorize, no matter if we can read it in Greek and Hebrew, no matter if we pray in tongues 5 hours a day, fast every week, no matter if we have pastored a church for 30 years.

Hey Allen Your OP is off the wall for a Christian in the first place. You said, Caitlyn Jenner says she's a Christian. You took the position of the world by calling Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn, which reveals a great deal about you. To the Christian mind and to the honest mind, Bruce Jenner is a man with a problem that resulted in him calling himself a woman. Lot of folks call their self Christian but they do not follow the Christian life, does Bruce Jenner look like he is following the Christian life? Anyone can see that he is not, so in answer to your question...it means absolutely nothing to Christianity...much like your post.

You poor man.
You don't have a grasp on the English language.
1. I make a statement about what Bruce Jenner said in 1976.
2. I make a statement about what he said as Caitlyn Jenner in 2015.
3. I quote he/she claiming to be a Christian with a link explaining it.
4. Now, I get to my point.
Is Bruce/Caitlyn saved?
Could OSAS come into play here?
This is what the thread is about.

If people want to get into other issues within the lives of Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner instead of addressing the main point of the OP, then fine, I'll go along with the flow.
But to insult me as you have is totally out of line.
Go back to school.

But the person having the operations believe they are BECOMING what they truly are...
They have the body of a man but feel like a woman, so they want a body to match.

Are they just having an identity crises -- that's the question.
The writer I spoke of earler learned that he just had an identity crises.
(he was a man, became a woman, changed back to a man)
Yes, of course, it's an identity crisis. If someone was convinced he was a dog in a man's body, is it right for a doctor to mutilate him to look like a dog? Doctors should have some good sense. Which is more responsible, performing an expensive 'species change' operation, or saying, 'Dude, you are not a dog'? Clearly the latter. Saying 'Dude, you are a dude' is a lot kinder than turning the man into a eunuch and performing artful mutilations to make him appear to be a woman.

If a patient came to a doctor and said, "I don't like my hand. It doesn't hurt. I just don't like it. Can you cut it off?', should the doctor do it? If he did, shouldn't he go to jail? Why don't they arrest the doctors who cut off these other appendages at the patient's request?

People should try to talk transexuals out of trying to be transexuals and doctors shouldn't support and encourage mental and emotional problems.

I read an article online of how Johns Hopkins hospital, which pioneered some of the surgery, stopped doing it when they realized they were harming patients, not helping them. If I remember correctly, suicide rates among those who'd undergone the surgery were around 40%.

there is NO SUCH THING as a 'he-she, she-him...and yes, we have witnessed
oddities in nature, living on a small farm, and at our age...
but, God's-ordained-principles-for-pro-creation, can never be 'un-done' by anyone, or any thing!!!..

for those of you who choose to 'fight against the Laws of God',
well then, give it your all, but be ready to 'reap what you sow'...

is someone fighting against God's laws?

I see people misunderstanding the op and trying to prove what we already know if we are a believer

honest to pete, can nothing ever EVER be discussed without some people thinking they need to wash everyone's hair for them?

no one here is stating Jenner's Christianity is carved in stone

and I also do not see where anyone thinks it's ok to whaffle about your sexuality

sorry

but who the wet can of worms is fighting against the laws of God and what are you calling the laws of God exactly?

you seem to have a knack for inserting I don't know what or why comments into threads, and you have done it to me, that have no rhyme or reason and then you disappear with no explanation

if you think that is the Holy Spirit, sorry, I just find it spoooooky and not in a good way

God is clear in what He says and does and we should be the same

ps. I am secure in God and not under judgement so be careful how you respond if you do. I am just honestly trying to figure out the purpose of what you are saying here and I don't do spooky
