are you implying that his lack of faith is the reason he is crippled and sick and he speaks out and warns people because he is "bitter and jealous of healthy people"? do you think people who are crippled or sick "deserve" it?

John 9
1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

hopefully I'm misreading your words.

I have no idea bout his faith that is between him and God. He started off with how he believed the man that Jesus heals. He was not healed. It was all about self pity that was for sure. What was the big rig a ma roll of us having to watch him walk up all crippled? Why couldn't he have been sitting down and do his sermon. Was looking for us to pity him is what I took from it. Be careful. I'd like to know how much his ministry pays to hungry people. I know the others ones help a lot he was shooting down. I also know the bible talks about his people being rich.

This was just a wrong question, very terrible of you.

I have my suspicions of Joel Osten, count how many times the name of Jesus is mentioned in any one of his sermons, yes he refers to God all the time, there are many "gods" perhaps it would be prudent if he would mention God's name so we know exactly who he is talking about.?
Q&A
A Conversation With Joel Osteen

Jesse Bogan, 06.26.09, 07:00 PM EDT
Forbes recently talked to the head of America's biggest megachurch about his dreams, his wealth and his life as a megapastor.

HOUSTON -- Ten years ago, Joel Osteen, pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, took over his father's ministry, stepping out from the church media room, where he edited broadcasts. Since then, he's driven it to become the largest megachurch in the U.S., with some 43,500 people attending services each week in what used to be an NBA arena. The nondenominational church that preaches optimism operates on a $70 million budget. Forbes recently talked to Osteen about his dreams, his wealth and his life as a megapastor.

Forbes: During Sunday's sermon, you preached about how we should mind our own business and stay positive. (A critic of Moses' interracial marriage was stricken with leprosy.) Am I at risk of getting a major skin illness by asking you a few professional and personal questions?

Osteen: No, you'll be fine.

How much have you made from your books? Have you said what you've made from that?

No, with my publisher, I can't tell, but it has been published if you want to look. I feel like I shouldn't tell just because I told them I wouldn't. [Editors' Note: He reportedly was poised to make $13 million on his second book deal, Become a Better You; his first book, Your Best Life Now, sold more than 5 million copies and several spin-offs; his third book, It's Your Time, comes out in November.

A preacher on TBN announced that he was going to name names of prominent Preachers that follow some sort of method to attract people, some of the methods is to remove all stained glass and all things that resemble a "church", do not have any crosses displayed, do have an upbeat and loud band......this preacher was taken off TBN before his next program....I wonder about TBN itself.....they charge enormous amounts of money for programs to be viewed...why charge so much when it is supposed to be spreading the Gospel to all the world??

I can't watch that whole mess. so you didn't watch all of the sermon....

He didn't have faith and now he has turned to antichrist. how do you know this you didn't even watch the whole thing?

So to serve God the way this man says, all Christian should be crippled and sick like him. he never said that. he said he think God does heal and do miracles but that is not what someone's faith should be based on. he said even if he was healed and he started walking like normal the BIGGER miracle is his salvation through Christ, not the miracles that God still does if he will. he says he would be happy being a cripple for the rest of this earthly life because he rest in the faith that he will be whole and perfect for eternity with Jesus in Heaven.

Should be poor. no he never said that he emphasize that people should be content with the blessings God gave and not be coveting their neighbors goods and striving for worldly things but things of GOD.

Looked like a pretty nice suit he had on. Wonder how much he got paid to be there speaking against my God.

he didn't get paid anything it is conference they had to pay to attend the regional Baptist convention. they don't pay the speakers they are volunteers as far as I have heard.

Benny Hinn is not Ok but the others are good Christians. I hope this man repents. He's bitter and jealous of healthy people for God sake.
how can you say he is bitter and jealous when you haven't even seen the whole sermon?

seminar...as in other speakers and him having to walk on to speak?

Be careful. I'd like to know how much his ministry pays to hungry people. ??? are you keeping tally by that?? I know buddhist, muslims and hindus who feed hungry people.

I know the others ones help a lot he was shooting down. I also know the bible talks about his people being rich.

there is a difference between SPIRITUAL riches which are in HEAVEN and carnal riches which is what many false preachers preach to the masses.

This was just a wrong question, very terrible of you.
and judging someone based on their physical disability is so "Christian"? speaking on a topic you have not even bothered to listen to the whole sermon but judging the speaker as "bitter and jealous of healthy people" is just?

Proverbs 23:4-5
New King James Version (NKJV)
4 Do not overwork to be rich;
Because of your own understanding, cease!
5 Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.

these are the only riches I seek. the only prosperity that should be preached:

Romans 11:33
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

2 Corinthians 8

1 Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: 2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. 3 For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing,

Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Colossians 2:2
that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

1 Timothy 6

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

I would be rich in good works, God's grace, His assurance of understanding, His knowledge, His liberality, His wisdom and all the things of God forsaking the lures and temptations of this world

for I would rather be the poorest servant of God then the richest Queen of this world.

mmm not sure why I bother since you probably won't read it all but here's a try.

Matthew 19:24
And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Mark 10:25
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Luke 18:25
For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Matthew 5:3
“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 4:18
“ The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed MeTo preach the gospel to the poor;He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captivesAnd recovery of sight to the blind,To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

Psalm 82:3
Defend the poor and fatherless;Do justice to the afflicted and needy

a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Just saying not to worship money more than God. Baby teachings.

poor in spirit

Christians always leaning on God what that does have to do with this??

to the poor

Yep ones who don't know the word and need it right still nothing to do with this.

Defend the poor and fatherless;Do justice to the afflicted and needy

Yes indeed help them protect them and feed them. Need money to feed poor people right and to put a roof over orphans heads and clothes on their backs. Pathetic poor Christians don't have money enough for them selves more less to help others. Satan is preaching the poor stuff.

Awareness

200 million Christians across the world suffer some form of persecution because of their faith. If that number surprises you, it’s probably because of the massive failure on the part of the media to cover the issue of religious persecution when Christians are the ones targeted. As faithful stewards of God’s word, ICC feels we have been called to stand in this massive gap created by the mainstream media and educate those around us about the existence and severity of Christian persecution worldwide. This is why we’ve developed a number of reports and resources designed to educate and equip others to help us raise awareness for the persecuted:
