I just wish that these people would put out their doctrinal statement for everyone to read. Right now it's a moving target. A sane in gracious dialogue between us would be a wonderful thing!
You can read my doctrine in a collection of 66 books(73 if I'm feeling generous). Though codifying it into something as digestible and catchy as TULIP will give you trouble, and my understanding of it is ever evolving as there is simply too much to comprehend in a single lifetime. Sorry I'm not arrogant enough to think I can give you a boilerplate on God's revelation. Too much for one man with only one life.

gracious dialogue

How far does grace extend when it comes to false doctrine?

I say none, I never say to a Mormon, JW, "You are right and here is my view" do you?

I see the your un-biblical doctrine of election in the same light as their false dogma ....however it is not personal.

The only difference is for some reason Christians believe IT, because ITs teachers have moved into evangelical circles across North America.

Heb 12:6-8, For whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth hot? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all (every son whom he receiveth) are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

If there are those in this world that God does not chasten, then, we can conclude that God does not love all mankind.

Psalms 73:5, They are not in trouble as other men, neither are they PLAGUED (Greek=to punished) like other men.
God chasten His Children,And I thank him for it....after all he is our Father and knows exactly how to chasten us.

It can very painful though...but.........afterwards,you can see it was for our own good......we have an amazing Father..who is worthy of our Praise.

But let us understand that the TYPE of love of God extends to the unsaved is ONLY pity and mercy. On wretched vessels that have no worth whatsoever.

This is a repugnant statement and it received a like......but let me ask this....... did Jesus die for them?

And you have worth based on what?

This statement is enough to make me leave CC and it should surely be reported as out and out heresy.

Yet you respond after reading what I had to say.

Seems the proof is in the pudding.

See what THIS dogma does to people ... there is a reason John Calvin was a tyrant, it was because of the God he fashioned for himself and continues on and on.

I am disgusted and shocked someone could write those words.

Ah perhaps this will make it clearer, the Bible has 66 books in it. 73 if we're speaking of the Catholic canon.

And this is the fruit of their doctrine.

But let us understand that the TYPE of love of God extends to the unsaved is ONLY pity and mercy. On wretched vessels that have no worth whatsoever.
People are reported for defending God basically....but this isn't a problem.

I've experienced it first hand. I grew up indoctrinated into believing the Calvinists had the Bible right before I ever knew what the issue was, and when I understood the doctrine for what they state sin was inflamed in me. I hated others, I hated myself, and I drank like a fish. Thankfully a walk through Leviticus set me free.

Calvinists are self-loathing for sure, I have stated that many times as well. (y)

It creates either self-righteousness or despair.

That is why it appeals them .. they want to drag everyone else where they are!!

Those trapped in it hopefully are, but many seem unwilling to confront some of the more dehumanizing elements. You can only hear your good deeds are filthy rags so many times before you start to internalize it. And for myself it was torture because all I could see was my sin and every time someone would tell me Jesus loved me it stung. At one point I became convinced that it was true, Jesus loved the elect, but since I couldn't get over my sin I must not be among the elect. So I drank more, convinced that God hated me so much that He couldn't even let me live my life in ignorance, what little happiness He affords the lost in this life was even beyond me because I had to know I was going to hell and there was nothing I could do to change it.

No disrespect....this post is very confusing....are you ok?

Self pity is not good you know...not being nasty....this ain’t the thread for it.....
Give it to God.....from the sound of it,it’s still with you following you around.let it go and give it to God.

Now I understand your bitter posts towards me.

There's no self-pity, just confession of what the indoctrination of Calvinism brought me to.

Rather than being free and enjoying the love of God, I took to heart the degradation of man that is present in the doctrine. I lived with a sin I couldn't confess to anyone because everyone I knew would either ostracize me for it or encourage it. And the problem was made worse by doctrine like the doctrine of election.

I didn't truly find freedom in Christ until I abandoned such doctrine, instead I found myself further enslaved in sin.
