Thank you that means a lot... and you are correct, after my time dealing with Calvinists I should know better....... but when you know and love God those words are horrendous to the soul.

Well, they can't do to you what the council of Geneva and all the wonderful reformers during the English wars did to those they disagreed with so what other option do they have than to ignore?

A requirement that would NEVER HAPPEN in and of ourselves, by ourselves. Sanctification is an act that orgiinates from OUTSIDE ourselves, and that ONLY by the grace of God, not by any singular or combination of works that we ourselves have done.

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

And no one is saved until they are saved.

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”

If I were bitter and without joy I wouldn't be continuing to engage with you still. But my joy is my Master's joy, and my Master's joy is winning His enemies. My joy is joining in Christ's suffering.
