And how will the lost come to know the Lord if you don't show them His love and walk in His light? Jesus said He didn't come to condemn; we should not condemn and judge people either. I can understand if you choose to not listen to gay musicians. Each of us is free in Christ to work out our own salvation.

Ask the people of Sodom, what would they reply?

And how do you propose they come to the Lord if they don't know Him or have not heard of Him in Truth?

Amen, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save and set men free. I am not forgetting the principalities and powers that exist in this world and am not condoning any sexual sin or perversion. God forbid! I misunderstood you and thought you were condemning the sinner. I am in agreement with you that no humanistic psychology could ever offer liberty to anyone. Sorry for assuming you meant otherwise, brother.

Jesus was a friend to thieves, crooked tax collectors, prostitutes, outcasts of society, mentally, morally and physically sick people. And this whole thread reminds me of this story:

Jesus Anointed by a Sinful Woman

36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.

37 A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume.

38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”

“Tell me, teacher,” he said.

41 “Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”

43 Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”

“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.

44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet.

46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.

47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

If we stop dwelling on the sin and start looking to Jesus, we would treat people the way He does. And lost people would see more of Christ in us and desire to have Him for their Savior. Otherwise, we just look like a bunch of hypocritical Pharisees blackballing sinners from our midst. :p

Jesus was a friend to sinners but He did not support or condone their sin. In each case He said "go your way and sin no more". We should not anything that promotes the gay agenda. We should not support corrupt politicians, from either party. When we know about these things we should not support it.So no,I dont think we should support gay artists or actors when we know they are gay.We are supporting an agenda and I dont think Jesus would support that either.

Really? He sure thinks he's something special.
My Sister, the entire concert was just him playing piano, that's it. He started off with two hits, then told the audience, "I'm going to play a few songs from albums that did not sell well. I don't know why, it's beautiful music." He then played 90 minutes of crap no one knew or liked and ended the concert with one more popular song. Big deal. There was a reason those albums didn't sell well, the songs stunk! Adding insult to injury, he kept lifting his left butt cheek up like he had bad gas. Arrrgggg!!!

Oh wow that sounds like a bad experience. I guess thats why I dont go to concerts. So much can be done to make voices sound good on a recording but in person they can really stink. I really only go to gospel concerts to support their work. :)

Yes and he repented and did not do it any more. That's the difference. When you have been born again you don't do the things you did before.
May it served the law systems!

Many people would regret it, for centuries.

The Lord lives in us. Why not ask Him. And further, living the christian life is not just about avoiding "sin". It is about ...living Christ. Not only does this life abhor sin, this life has a feeling about every aspect of our living. We expend a lot of energy trying to feel our way around sin (for good reason), but what about something as simply as going to the shoe store to but a pair of shoes? Do we look to the Lord in this seemingly unimportant activity? After all, there is nothing sinful about going out and shopping for a needed pair of shoes. Yes, He even cares about this. When Paul said "for me to live is Christ" he wasn't just talking about living free of sin. He was talking about....living. "for me to live". He lived Christ in...everything.

I think my question would be to you, Do you feel convicted? I think something is tugging at your heart to be asking. I had a friend the other day turn a song on and before she turned it on, she said, " I know this is a bad song, but I love it". Well she was already convicted of it, or she wouldn't of said it. I asked her if Jesus was in the car with her instead of me would she be at peace turning it on listening with Jesus? So maybe you can ask yourself that if you start to doubt. Just remember Jesus is with you in everything you do and everything you watch. :)

Q: "Can Christians listen to GAY artists?"

A: If the content of their "art" doesn't violate God's standard of morality they can; however, a better question might be why aren't you listening to moral Christian artists instead?

Before I knew Sam Smith was gay, I listened to his music "Stay With Me" and such. But then, I started wondering.. Is it okay for Christians to listen to songs sung by gay people? And also Sam Hunt (country singer), "Love Me Like You Do" from 50 shades of grey (will not watch it). I listen to their music and apply it in a different way. I mean, they may be singing about gay relationships but I interpret it in a different way. If I hadn't ever watched the music video, I wouldn't even have the thought of two men together when listening to that song. Is it wrong to listen to the music of gay artists? I mean, I'm not supporting gay rights or anything, just the music and the lyrics.
I can't because I don't like his music, that is: Marvin Gaye's music. So if you like Gay's music you can. If not, you probably won't.

I love to listen to Elton John's music on the radio but I would never buy his stuff. I don't much like him as a person. I don't like his views on God or many other things he says. He really is not a nice guy and there is a nasty side to him. I do not like his lifestyle either - all reasons I would not put money into his pocket (not that he needs my money lol) but I cannot manipulate what comes on the radio or choose what my ears enjoy lol.

Without knowing people´s background, I like Elton John or Fred Mercury (I detached from some of their lyrics, as We´re the Champions") but I was a boy those days...

Something in here made me think of this artist...

Because I´m not to be so fanatically discriminative, or ill-biased as a "perfect" judge. That´s between them and GOD!
This is a picture of Vincent Van Gogh. (Not Picasso, like someone else said.) Van Gogh wasn't gay.

If you stopped listening to music by sinners, you'd pretty much have to stop listening to songs. Still, you need to be careful about the message contained in these songs. Don't allow yourself to be drawn into a sinful lifestyle, and don't give your blessing or approval to the sin they are committing, be it homosexual lust, immoral (heterosexual) lust, substance abuse, pride, or whatever.
