There would also be no point what so ever if theres a possibility I could forfeit my inheritance once I truly know I'm born again, there would also be no point in me practicing Christianity. Because if this was even remotely possible it would imply the new incorruptible seed born through Jesus is still corruptible.

There would be no point in me even practicing Christianity if I thought I couldn't recieve salvation. I'm just longing to know I am truly saved.

I'm prepared to wait, and be patient.

If i never truly believe im born again untill Jesus returns even that will not stop me practicing Christianity.

I truly believe the reason why Jesus went to cross.

I believe all the teaching of Jesus are Good also.

My studies so far of The lord Jesus teachings all add up to me there is nothing i don't understand on the teachings of Jesus where he spoken, or where teachings Where God the father has spoken. But where teachings of man's understanding has spoken i stumble.
Don't wait patiently. Pursue God incessantly. Read the parable in Luke 18:1-8.
Don't take no as an answer from God.

In a story in Genesis, Jacob wrestled all night with God before he received the blessing.

Can a heart of stone be convicted ?

Is believing you can be saved, conviction from the holy spirit.

I'm going somewhere with this sign for now, but it seems if your regularly convicted in the heart and make amends there's a good chance your being convicted from the holy spirit.

I don't disagree. But if I learned from scripture that an unjust judge who is disinclined to respond will respond when continually implored, it would spur me to implore of a just Judge who is predisposed to grant my plea. The story is there to encourage the one seeking to seek all the more earnestly.

I don't understand. Why should anyone think that God would not or could not save him/her? unless someone other than God gave them this idea?

I don't disagree also, but his reason for conviction was only for approval from the woman, Not God.

I am practicing Christianity, but I'm unsure I have received salvation.
Then you HAVE NO FAITH, in which case you've NOT been Born again of the Holy Spirit, and indwelled by Him. "Belief"(Mental assent) doesn't get the job done. Salvation is BY FAITH in the SIN OFFERING the Jesus made on Calvary.

SO the quick answer to your question is: NO you haven't received Salvation, and would be wise to seek it promptly.

You are missing the point. Wicked people can be persuaded. How much more will a loving God be persuaded.

ok I get that, ok so now for me, if I'm doubting my prayers are being answered, but there is conviction in my heart to make amends, I've read this could be from the holy spirit.

Mybe I'm speaking out of the context of the conversation. If so, my apologies and I'll leave you to carry on. My understanding of that parable is God's elect petitioning for justice rather than losing heart in thinking He would continue to defer their help.

Thread title

Can I call myself a Christian if I'm unsure I'm born again

The word Christian has lost it's true meaning -----many call themselves Christians who think they are save ---but are really not Saved at all ------

many believe that as long as they go to church ----serve their neighbours -----sing in the quire at church --serve in the soup kitchens ---are good people by not hurting others that a loving God would never send them to a place called hell

So yes anyone can call themselves a Christian without being a true Christian but they should understand that just calling themselves a Christian will not get them into heaven -------

It is my opinion that everyone is a child of God but not everyone is Christ's bride.
For example, it is written that, "God's spirit testifies with our spirit that we are the children of God." Is there any instance that the spirit might 'convict' anyone that ,"no! you are not God's child, how dare you call yourself that!" Even if He would say, "you are a child of the devil," that wouldn't negate the reality of the former state, it would just be declaring that one is in a state of rebellion against the Father.
But a bride, what does she hope and wait in expectation for? the everlasting love of, not just 'the' but, her groom.

I don't. Maybe someone here knows and can answer.
