Here’s one that can help undo your confusion. Can a person who preaches to his sheep under the law teach on the new moon festivals yet say there is no Sabath. Would he not be a false prophet? Then if a preacher preach on th whole Bible say Acts 2:38 is not needed,is he not a false prophet? Jesus said if you keep the whole law except one little thing you have broken the whole law. Think about it.
Who says there is no Sabbath? I can't imagine a Christian saying that.

As for false prophets, I imagine nearly every minister in every different denomination has some particular teaching or interpretation that I don't entirely agree with. But it's not my place to judge that person as a false prophet. It is anyone's place?

No I just read my Bible and pray a lot

The Pharisee could quote the OT verbatim, and praised all the time..

We see how much it helped them,, Readingf and praying does not mean anything if you do not come to truth.

Read it slower and chew on those words. A fast reader misses much.
practice what you preach.. Again, The Pharisee knew the word by heart, yet did not know it at all..

I am by nature a slow reader.
does not make you right.

Your still rejecting grace and preach9ing works, just like the Pharisee did.

ps. In order to memorize a whole book, you have to read very slow. You do not memorize anytihing by reading it fast. And they knew the whole OT.

your arguments are faulty my friend.

Then listen awhile and you might get smarter.
it is obvious you do not want to discuss anything, just bash people.

You will not be here long with that unchristlike attitude

I do not omit Grace, for which of you has saved yourself? But through the Grace of God that found me and not me finding Him.

then why are you trying to earn it by obedience?

show me the errors of my ways taking ALL the Bible including Acts.

Acts does not say be baptised to recieve remission of sin. Peter only tells those who were given the gift of the HS to be baptised.

When you learn this basic truth, you may start to learn other basic truths about the grace gift of salvation.

You can not earn salvation by going to a baptismal to be baptised.

If I offer a $1,000.00 dollar bill to a friend...it is a FREE gift to her.

That GIFT is downtown in the local bank in a safety deposit box in the vault.

My friend only needs to get in her car,
drive to the bank,
ask for the safety deposit box,
take the key open the box,
and take the $1,000.00 dollar bill out of the box....
and it is hers.

Does the FACT that there were things she needed to DO to get the FREE money, make the FREE gift NOT FREE?

Noooo, of course not. The money is STILL a FREE GIFT.

Does the FACT that there are things we must do change the fact that salvation is a GIFT that we do not deserve?

Nooooo, of course not.

God offers GRACE to everyone,
but we must RECEIVE it
and unfortunately not everyone
is will to make the effort to receive it.

To HEAR the gospel and STUDY the scriptures are something we DO !
Taking up our cross is something we DO !
CONFESSING Christ is something we DO !
To BELIEVE is something we DO !
To REPENT is something we DO !
To ABIDE in Christ is something we DO !
To
BE BAPTIZED for remission of sins is something we DO !

There are many things we have to DO to inherit eternal salvation.....
but those things in NO WAY changes the fact that salvation is a GIFT........
j
ust like that $1,000.00 bill was still a GIFT
in spite of the fact that she had some things to DO
to receive that FREE GIFT.

Just some things to ponder.....have a great tomorrow :)

Matthew 25:1-13 King James Version (KJV)

25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins (Believers), which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
[SUP]2[/SUP]And five of them were wise (Believer), and five were foolish (once a Believer).
[SUP]3 [/SUP]They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
[SUP]12[/SUP]But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

The scripture teaches us that, "whatsoever is not of faith is sin." Either you are under "Grace" or the "Law." There must be "oil in the lamp (extra oil for refilling's daily - Matthew 25:1-13)" What caused the lamps to go out in the time of Samuel as a boy, is causing the lamps to go out presently (1 Sam. 3:1-9). The Bible teaches us that many Christians retained the outward show and form of Faith but neglected the true inward life of Faith. The "Law" is a curse.

Remember, Jesus said out of the 10 Virgins (Believers), 5 were wise and 5 became foolish (once a Believer)...their oil was gone.
