I liked an answer given in the previous thread, from 1 Tim 3:2.
"A bishop then must be blameless,
the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;"
I have been to to churches on two occasions where a female pastor was sprung on the congregation. I never walked out (perhaps I should have), but the first was my church of many years (once conservative), and the girl was sort of secretly given the mission of preaching the sermon for the night service, when there were mostly (totally?) young adult Christians, and no one in the morning service (mostly older Christians) had been informed that a woman would be preaching at night. This underhanded tactic was used after several years of instigators trying (unsuccessfully) to have women ordained as elders. The pastor himself had a feminist agenda. That was the last time I attended that church. It has since gone even more cultish, and I believe they (i.e. youth at night) probably still dance about like pagans, and they have a formal female pastor now, as well as the original devious pastor's wife.
Another time was by accident (while looking for a new church, after leaving the previously mentioned one), and I came across some (even more) cult like group. I sat that one through because I had been praying to find a good church, but it was even more radical than the previous - the lady kept talking about collecting sacrifices (donations?) for the temple (church building?) I escaped that cult without being forced to partake in their sacrifice, and have survived until this day to bring you the story.
