Philos your missing the point. One Pope wearing robes does not make a whole eighth of the world damned to Hell. If they believe in Christ, and put Christ before the pope, and repent, and do all the things, then they are just as faithful as you. This whole practice of stereotyping a whole religion of people, is quite narrow minded. I know plenty of catholics who agree that the Pope shouldn't be wearing fine robes and jewels. I know some who have reasons to believe he should. The church, really, does not dictate their views. Nor do they give everything they have to the church. You all seem to assume the are devout to 'the church', and not to God. This is not the case.

Philos, tell me what judgement I really made? That I stand up for people who are getting bashed and believe that if someone follows in Christ and loves Christ, and obeys the commandments, and loves his neighbour, that they are good Christians? That's the same judgement Jesus made.

Love your neighbour.

The Church will always have some corruption. That does not mean that every member is corrupt. A lot of people in Europe have no other church than the cahtolic one.

And again, you seem to forget, that the Catholic church was set up before any of ours were. It came with original canonical books that Martin Luther took from the bible.

the way we should see this, is not 'catholic and christian', but christian and christian. Don;t you think people under the catholic heading feel ashamed of some of the church activities? Don't you realise that good, God fearing people do have minds of their own??

And if we really want to get on the subject of strange dogmas, there's baptist churches, who also child baptize. There's koran burning. And general religious hatred. You get it in EVERy denomination, believe me. You will always get people who believe they know better than everyone else. My view is this; accept that people try.

God doesnt expect anymore of us. So who are WE to expect it? People can only do their best.

come together and share common believes, common love, and common repentance, instead of disputing the minor 'religious' facotrs. << That, my friends, is what Jesus wanted.

I never said an 8th of the world was condemned because a Pope is, you said I did. I said even if Peter is the first Pope, if they do not continue in the faith and walk of the first Pope, then what the Lord said to the Jews in John 8 applies to them. You don't receive favor because you are raised in a Church or have the name Catholic or Baptist or Pentecostal on you, that was the error of the Jews and John, Jesus, and Paul corrected them on that. You have made assumptions in that one post alone, Mediate, that are not backed by anything, that was what I was talking about unrighteous judgment. You are true, then, when you say you are not Jesus, because He would not have done that. You're basically saying I'm bashing the Catholics because they are Catholics, which means you did not read what I posted, either that or you read with a bias mind ready to rebuke without discernment. You also seem to not realize that much of the posts I made on this thread, I "bash" the Protestant System more than the Catholic System. I spoke of the error of the Roman Church, yeah, but I in no way hid the error of the Protestant Church either.

My beloved, love not in words and tongue, but in deed and truth.

Now compare Peter to the Popes we know of today. Do they match? No.
Has anyone here ever picked up a history book??? Ever???

How was the early church supposed to build, expand, preach, build infrastructures, schools, armies to fend off barbarians and later, Islam? Not to mention protect the myriad of ancient manuscripts, artifacts, etc? The Vatican Museums are among the most beautiful and amazing in terms of historic and cultural wealth, taking days to view them all. And the Pope's life is not as "royal" as you would think, but I have no time to get into the details.

Take care.

Philos, I have been saying that this whole time. You dont recieve favour for your denomination. So how are YOUR practices more righteous than Catholic ones? It isn't our place.

I know for a fact, Philos, that Jesus would rather we stood and respected each other than sat bickering over tiny minute details of religion.

All I have done this whole time is try to say 'everyone, we are all the same'. We all have flaws. We all have flaws. We don;t have the right to judge. Or hate. Or preach to people who, frankly, already know Jesus in their hearts.

Lol it's pathetic. 'Combo Breaker times 2', and someone likes it. Like petty children trying to one-up on each other.

This is why it's pointless to come into these forums and make people see sense. Bickering is for kids.

I've made this very clear; Nothing good comes from this Catholic bashing. They believe themselves to be decent followers, just as you do. Respect that.

I know Jesus but still i want Jesus to be preached to me always because the name Jesus is so precious and so nice to hear. You know the feeling of delight by hearing His name?

You cant say we dont have the right to preach to people. frankly, already know Jesus in their hearts.

Because as far as all the christians who go to services during sundays are concern, their main purpose there is also Jesus.

Repeating yourself, throwing around accusations, ignoring arguments and intentionally distorting viewpoints and then criticizing the thread you're perpetuating is only for the most serious and mature theologians.

Sorry if we act so childish.

For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

But I respect your point. I can see how concern you are not to hurt anybody because of their religion.

If that's the case then why do we create sections for ourselves on Earth? If their purpose is Jesus, and your purpose is Jesus, then why is this thread even in existence?

I respect your points, too.

But not about my combo breaker. That deserves a thousand 'likes.'
