I don't mean any disrespect but its difficult to take your post seriously with all the unnecessary language, homosexuality is a sin like all others...there are hetrosexual men that sleep with multiple partners and have sexual perversions
Your post only answers my question of how much hate some have towards homosexuals and trying to keep homosexuals from repentance.
We should pray for the wisdom and strength to obey the teachings of Jesus and heal our hearts from hate towards any person and help bring sinners to repentence and be saved by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ
Before you tackle this subject, may I share some good news with you? Where you go when you die is far more important than anything about sodomy to the average person. Here's another one that would be better to listen to before getting into an in-depth study of your subject in my last post.

Your too obsessed by this topic of 'sexual orientation', IMO, and you shouldn't try to use it as some kind of exegetical lens to explain the passage.

It just so happens that 'sodomy' became a word used for sex acts performed between males, in the English language n various legal systems. That's not what the town of Sodom means in the Bible. It got that definition in English as a reference to the Biblical story about men that wanted to rape supernatural visitors that appeared to be men.

What research proves that a straight man cannot become a homosexual? If a man prefers women and has sex with a man, he is performing the exact same sin, physically, as a man who prefers men who does the same sex act.

It's like if a man was only attracted to thin blonde women, but he had sex with his neighbor's wife who was a corpulent brunette, he'd be committing adultery just as if he'd committed adultery with a thin blonde woman. The man's interests don't change the sinfulness of the action.
Yes a straight man could have sex with a homosexual like in a movie....but why would a man attracted only to women want sex with a man? the man could not create the sexual feelings of attraction towards the man as in not wanting any type of sex....you can find this information at "psychology today" for example if common sense is not enough
It would be impossible for me to have sex with a man only because I have no attraction to men sexually and I am not God able to create those feelings
There can be close relations between 2 men even deep love without sex or being homosexual
1Samuel 18:1..And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

The primary sin of Sodom was "going after STRANGE FLESH", specifically ANGELIC flesh. Evidently in a manner similar to what was going on before the flood (unlawful sinful contact between angelic beings and men).

Such contact has inevitably led to extremely catastrophic judgements of the cosmic kind. Not merely the political dissolution of a sinful kingdom.

Peter CLEARLY links Genesis 6 with the sin and subsequent destruction of Sodom. Unmistakably.

Jde 1:7
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

2Pe 2:4
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
2Pe 2:5
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
2Pe 2:6
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
Ezekiel 16:49-50
49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.
Your using KJV "going after strange flesh" NIV" In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion."
Strange flesh is another way of saying unnatural attraction sexual immorality perversion?
The destruction of Sodom was going to happen before any attempted rape
Why is rape in itself not more of a wicked sin then homosexuality? just thought of that...never heard anyone condemn the rape which is violent and attacks the innocent...but for many what 2 consenting adults do in their bedroom is a wicked sin.....God will judge them as He please....sinful man does not qualify to judge others only themselves

Matthew 7:3-5

3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

On the other less important subject...

1st. It doesn't really matter whether you respect me or not. I've studied this subject and am confident of what my Lord thinks about the reprobates. Jesus hated the Sodomites and all of those cities in the well watered plain. He even referred to them during His Ministry and pointed them out as an example, a filthy byword as well as to remember Lot's wife.

2nd. Sodomy is Not a sin like all others.
It is not natural. It is referred to as not only an abomination, but it is also a crime with a severe penalty.
Believe it or not, liberal preachers have taught that all sin is equal. That is a lie. All sin is a transgression of God's laws, however there are varying degrees of sin.

3rd. I answered your puzzling question with clarity and with the Bible. Perhaps because you think that all sins are equal that you were triggered by my blunt use of appropriate terms for gang rapists who were intent upon torturing a family to death with their sick perversions. The Bible calls them DOGS. The Bible refers to them as going after "strange flesh" in Jude 1:7...

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

You can say that I used "filthy language", but I'm not really worried about offending what the Bible points out as child predators, violent rapists, those with vile affections and those who take pleasure in those kind of reprobates...another word that is used.
What about the word "strange"? What is the synonym of strange? Here's another clear answer for you....queer.

You put a 60 at the end of your handle, so I don't suppose that is your age. That's older than me. Those of us who lived in middle class America before 2,000 called the Sodomites Queers before we knew what one was. We played football on the playground and called it "Smear the Queer." We didn't know what a queer was in primary school, but we boys didn't like them and knew they were bad people. These days, they even call themselves queer. What is that now, the new "N" word??? Only Queers can call themselves that or it might trigger a libtard? Ooops I did it again. Well they co-opted the sacred rainbow, the sign of God's holy covenant with all the living. I'm not going to call them "gay.".
Gay means joyful and happy. That's a perversion of the term. They commit suicide and murder at a much higher rate than the rest of the population. That's really gay.

As far as referring to the men surrounding a house to rape the innocent angels, young girls and old men thousands of times until dead, I wish I could think of a better word than faggot. Can YOU think of one, because if you can find something that is more fitting, then maybe I will start using it?
I certainly do hate gang raping murdering Sodomites. My heart goes out to the victims.
My heart goes out to the little children and babies that are molested and raped daily.
My heart goes out to those who are victims of the sex trade, NOT to the damned scum.
Yes, "damn" is also a Bible word. Yes they are damned. ☕🙂📖

The Bible refers to them as going after "strange flesh" in Jude 1:7...
in that passage Jude associates 4 groups with each other:

Jude 1:4-8
For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.

  • certain false teachers
  • the Egyptians who saw the power of God clearly but still opposed Him, trying to kill the Israelites
  • the angels spoken of in Genesis 6 who did things presaging the destruction of all flesh on earth
  • the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah

What do they all have in common?
((it's not homosexuality))

I understand the story of Sodom and agree homosexuality is sin
I cannot find answers to these scriptures and hope a brother or sister can help me
I am uncomfortable asking my pastor or anyone in Church

Genesis 19:4-5 NIV:4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house.

My research always has articles saying it doesn't really mean every male yet the scripture makes it clear with 3 steps...all the men plus every part of the city plus young and old .Is it teaching that every male in Sodom became homosexual rapists including the men engaged to the daughters of Lot?
Do most of the men become heterosexuals 'after going back to their wives and children?
Was it a case of mass demon possession?

6 Lot went out to the men at the entrance, shut the door after him, 7 and said, “I beg you, my brothers, do not act so wickedly. 8 Behold, I have two daughters who have not known any man. Let me bring them out to you, and do to them as you please. Only do nothing to these men, for they have come under the shelter of my roof.”

Lot knowing the people of Sodom...why then would he offer his daughters to homosexual men? its common knowledge homosexuals have zero interest in females...its like offering meat to a vegetarian.....why is this scripture overlooked? is it possible the majority of the men were heterosexuals' and the rape which is a violent act was to degrade and break the spirit of the "men" .......this was preformed at that time in history as a severe degrading punishment
Was it that God gave them over to homosexual acts like in Romans1?

Ezekiel 16:49-50 NIV :49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.

This scripture I understand why it is ignored as it shows us including myself guilty of some of these sins such as greed, especially overfed{gluttony}
This scripture does include detestable things which would be homosexual acts and outside of marriage heterosexuals' acts. Most give an offering of 10 percent but do they care about "the poor and needy" the children that starve to death every 3 minutes? choosing not to store there treasure in heaven but rather bank investments or property

I understand we should concentrate only on what Jesus taught and draw closer to Him but I keep hearing about this sin of homosexuality as the worst or only real sin and the hate it creates in the hearts of Christians. All scripture is the word of God and contains truth and must make sense and not what we want it to say

Thank you very much for reading and i look forward to hopefully getting some explanation of truth and understanding
Homosexuality is sin, but not the only sin and it is not helpful to focus on it. I hate it. I had to deal with homosexuals as young man and well, enough said. It makes my skin crawl. However, 1 Corinthians 6:9, the go-to NT verse, is written to Christians, not unbelievers. For unbelievers, sin is sin.

The reason that homosexuality is so condemned is that it is a direct result of knowingly rebelling against God. However, this happened thousands of years ago and homosexuality has been an issue ever since.

I do believe that the rise of the LBGQTI whatever movement is a direct result of spiritual decay in the Western world. Those who rant about homosexuality should look to their own lives as well. The only way to stop the rot is for the church to fix its own mess first. We are "salt", a preservative. We are "light", which is truth. Much of the church long ago quit being salt and allowed the light to dim. The church needs to be made alive, not the world condemned.

Hi....Yes i agree about bi-sexual people as a strong explanation, yet it is taught homosexual men{no sexual attraction to female} went to rape and that was my point it would be unlikely the story was about true homosexual men
Well some of them probably where homosexual.. The Bible story does not clearly define their sexuality.. Irrespective of their sexuality they where engaging in homosexual sex which according to the Bible is an abomination to God..

and that is why Lot offered his daughters knowing the bi-sexual and heterosexuals' men might be tempted by his young daughters. That would make sense!
More then likely.. I have to add Lot like every other man on earth was not perfect.. Clearly so because of the offer he made.. Thanks be to God that the angels interviened and blinded the men..

first time i heard this argument...i was more focused on heterosexuals' using rape as a degrading spirit breaking punishment as was used at that time .
Sadly it is still used by some.. especally in wars today..

Documentary's about prison are gangs taking new prisoners and breaking them sexually making them their property or their "girl",so gay sex takes place for many years but the interest for females doers not disappear.
Sadly that is true..

Yes I agree with you homosexuality is one sin of many others that threaten our salvation
I am a believer since 2015 when i accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and i see the Church as focusing on this sin because it gets overwhelming Christian support. With all respect I do not see Christians as a whole caring about homosexuals having "the atonement of Jesus and thus remove the opportunity they have for salvation"
Well one can judge other people assuming what their intentions are.. But in the end God knows peoples intentions.. We can only assume them.. As for me i wish for all sinners to be Redeemed and homosexuals can be redeemed by the blood of the LORD Jesus..

Teen suicide is highest by homosexual teens
I thought it was transsexual teens,, but anyway yeah i would say it is high for homosexuals..

"The Trevor Project estimates that more than 1.8 million LGBTQ youth (13-24) seriously consider suicide each year in the U.S. — and at least one attempts suicide every 45 seconds."
Well i am not sure i would believe the actual statistics because unfortunately many of these organizations have a political bias to push and so they will do their best to report the worst results possible.. But yeah i have no doubt the suicide rate is higher..

If a child is told he is hated by man and God because of his attraction and will go to hell for eternity it will have serious effects on these youth. So the Christian has some blame as well
I was told as a sinning human being that God hates sin.. So yeah God hates my sins.. It was a part of me becoming a Christian in my early 20's when i read the Bible.. The Bible revealed to me just how bad i was and it moved me to shame.. But i never contemplated suicide because of it.. Jesus willingly gave up His life to save me a sinner.. Jesus loves me and He also loves all sinners and that includes homosexuals.. So maybe some people are responsible for failing to give the FULL message of God.. Or maybe (in some cases i have observed this) once some people are told their sinners they mentally shut you off because they are so emotionally triggered they can no longer listen to anything you say past that point..

What does the church do to help the honosexuals that do not want those feeling and want to be hetrosexual?
Some churches and i don't know the validity of their programs,, have treatment programs designed to convert homosexuals to heterosexuals but a number of western governments have moved to bann these programs because of protests from gay rights organizations that say it is a form of genocide.. I would say that the only sure method with any success is prayer directly to The LORD..

besides condeming to hell they offer no solutions but say do what i could never do and live in celibasy
Well if we believe and trust in the Message of God that sin is sin then we should do our best to resist sin.. We being humans will fail from time to time but at lest we can fight the good fight against our own sin..

The hypocrisy of married heterosexual couples using birth control after having 2 or 3 children because they can't live without sex...they want the lustful pleasure without the purpose of pro-creation....they want to be fruitful but not multiply....birth control is rebellion against God..
Well sexual activity within the bounds of marriage is ok in Gods will.. while it is the way of having children.. Sexual relations between husbands and wives does not end when the woman grows older and can no longer conceive a child.. There is no stipulation in the Bible that i know of where God deems sexual relations to be a sin simply because conception is prevented.. The only church i know that developed that as a tradition is the catholic church and i do not recognize the catholic church as being Christian..

.that is a bit off topic but suppressing homosexuals and saying its to save them is hypocrisy
Just a point here.. If a Christian is preaching in alignment with the Bible.. That Christian is NOT preaching their personal standards.. They are acting as a messenger preaching Gods Standards.. The only way one can be a hypocrite is by preaching ones own personal standards and then turn around and break ones own standards.. So Christian saying that sin is sin and should be resisted then the very same day cussing or committing some other sin is not Hypocrisy.. Thats just them being humans like every other human..

I will also make another point... NO ONE is saved by ceasing to sin.. Because no one has ceased to sin.. People are saved when their sins are justly forgiven by the Atonement of the LORD Jesus..

Lets go to the fast food outlets and save the overfed. of coarse thats not really a sin apparently because we don't want it to be
Well gluttony is sin.. But again sinners are saved through the LORD Jesus..

Jesus taught a lot about the dangers of greed and wealth but it seems the church now says its ok to have wealth as long as don't love it because no christian wants to live a humble life so we wrestle the scriptures until it says what we want
Well Jesus said the Love of money is sin.. Being wealthy puts one in a position to be a blessing to others through charity..

What 2 adults do in private as long as no person is hurt is between them and God
Yes and if that is sin they must resist it and acknowledge it as such to God..

All Christians live a sinful lifestyle some more than others, I think teaching wealth is not a sin after Jesus clearly taught it is is the real danger as it keeps christians greedy and not wanting to help the poor as Jesus taught
Again Jesus did not teach that wealth in itself is sin.. The love of money is sin.. greed is sin..

When I read this letter, I see that there were certain unbelievers who crept in unawares who practiced those many serious sins. I don't see it as that all of the sins were the same/ in common. Those men were not to be a part of the church because of the sins you pointed out as well as "
11
Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core...."

Those are a lot of various destructive sins.
I think what is in common is not the sins per se, but rather those particular sinners. There's the parallel passage in 2 Peter 2 and another list in Romans 1. When I studied the reprobate doctrine a while back, it seemed to me that reprobates are often characterized by these particular sins.

That said, it looks like the following is talking about a Romans 1 scenario, "men with men."
That doesn't mean that was their only sin. The sodomites that were work associates in the past were also characterized by severe immoral character in business. They were not just hitting on the guys, but had features that were relevant to the list.

7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

.many gays are nice people I agree and if they feel welcome and surround themselves with true Christians and get involved in Church there is a chance for the Lord to change their heart.
Yes, and there were ex-gays in the early churches..:)
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were...." (1 Cor 6:9-11)

But what is in common in the 4 groups Jude puts together? why does he put them in the same list?
What did the angels before the flood, the Egyptians at the Exodus and the people of Sodom & Gomorrah all have in common that Jude is saying certain false teachers were also guilty of?

No one is saying homosexual behavior isn't a sinful perversion, but that this is not the only thing going on in Sodom.

in Judges 19-21 the corpse of the wife of the Levite was cut into pieces and when Israel saw part of her body they knew immediately that everyone and everything in that city had to be completely destroyed.
can you look at a severed hand and see that a person had been raped? is that visible from looking at a foot? do you immediately know that an entire city needs to be destroyed because a single rape has been committed in it, if you could even tell that from glancing at an elbow of a week old corpse?

IMO something more wicked than mere sexual deviance is happening in these two places, something related to the flood.

Romans 1&2 are very clear.

Homosexuality is a result of sin as well as a sin in and of itself because of the moral turpitude.

This universe God has placed mankind is a system...a self correcting system.
Man's continued existence in this universe is due to a measure of protection God affords us for our error filled ways....up to a point. Often referred to as common grace it is not really common....

But exceeding the measure of common grace you then are subjected to the judgment of the self correcting system (natural results) of your actions.

Homosexuality is just such a curse of the natural order where nature refuses you the ability to procreate because of your sinful ways. So your passions will be with the same sex and your legacy will die with you....to be forgotten in the annals of time.

This is what Paul tells the Romans and I do not doubt his words. They are filled with every sin. Unable/unwilling to repent and start anew.

I agree with you primarily, but those of us who are single and not committed such abomination are not under their curse, although what you said of progeny is true. You also find cities of populations of that on the well watered plain that Lot headed towards. There had to be plenty of women too.
Sodom and Gomorrah is mentioned most often. Then there's the city in Judges 19, so we see that they go both ways, for women and men. There are many who marry the opposite sex as I've seen in life have children even though they were out of the closet homos.

I think that what Paul was explaining in Romans 1 that we can glean is that they were not born the way they were. They became that way after the list which included that they did not want to retain God in their knowledge, not even think of Him. Then He turned them over to a reprobate mind, as He did another reprobate we know as the Pharaoh of Moses time. He hardened pharaoh's heart as his heart was hardened against God.

I suppose there are those unfortunately who were fed soy formula as a baby, raised without a father and tragically molested a long the way who became effeminate. I see them as victims of that crime. There's also serious drug and alcohol use, which goes along with the other, in a nearby college town. Parents don't probably realize what goes on at dorms, Greek Sororities and parties.
I don't necessarily think they are all reprobate as I have witnessed to some like that. However, that is a time of great risk. Their minds are shaped by professors, some of which undermine any bit of faith in God.
I do pray for their salvation and offer the gospel when there's opportunity. It's a mission field. We can certainly pray, plant seeds, try to get a harvest and protect the innocent.

Are there cities like Sodom and Gomorrah today.
Like what would be the worst examples.
The Nation of Spain is rather open to all sorts of ilk.

But mostly, you will get Cities in America, which Population outnumbers many Nations like San Fran, Washington DC, plus States like Maine and Rhode Island and California. New York City, NY and Atlantic City, NJ, in my personal travels, i have seen some really seriously [Philadelphia] demonic places and Same Sex is a big component to that overall Depression that controls that area.

It's like driving the interstate and you are about to go through a place, maybe you know or this is first time, but you just suddenly feel ill about it. like the Holy Spirit is saying, get that Armor of God on. and when you get past it you feel like something lifted off your shoulders. America, the United States of America, is completely swarmed with Places like this.

And I am not talking about the pressure of driving congested like that.
I am talking about being on a flatbed truck in the hot sun then hit a long tunnel and you start to cool off...but...this is in feeling it "spiritually."

Hi....Yes the 2 questions I asked I am looking for what others think and two brothers provided me some good points to consider.I have clearly stated that in my humble opinion homosexuality is a sin but thats easy for me to say as this sin does not effect me.The hypocrisy of teaching Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed because of homosexuality is fueled by hate and lies and ignoring scripture that does list the sins
How would that be 'hypocrisy.' I read that there was a Jewish midrash about Sodom, because the scriptures say something about 'her' cry going up to God, about a woman who cried out to God because of a lack of hospitality.

Sodomites weren't sharing their possessions with others. Abraham and many of his descendants were highly hospitable. Sharing ones possessions is a part of hospitality. The Sodomites not only weren't sharing their bread, but when strangers came in, instead of welcoming them and sharing with them, they wanted to rape, humiliate, and defile the strangers for their own pleasure.

Perceived 'homosexual sex' was a part of the story, but not the part the passage you were referring to emphasized.

....which would include homosexuality but only 1 sin of many and the 1 sin that doesn't effect most Christians.I am only insterested in the truth of scripture not what we want it to say.
Who have you been interacting with that _only_ focuses on homosexual sin and not any other sin? I've never been to a church like that or heard a preacher like that.

When it comes to murder, we don't have people trying to infiltrate our churches to teach the people that murder is okay. We don't have murderers in front of the church with protest signs protesting that murder is okay. We don't have a national murderer month. There aren't politicians trying to put special rights for murderers into the laws. And the EEOC does not come down on companies and individuals who refuse to hire murderers. I haven't seen any of these things done for adulterers either. But for 'LGBT' folks, we see stuff like this happening. If there were advocates doing these things for adultery, murder, and theft, we might hear more about churches stances on these issues in the news.

I am talking about being on a flatbed truck in the hot sun then hit a long tunnel and you start to cool off...but...this is in feeling it "spiritually."
what about New Orleans
or Venice, where they have mardi gras
Or the Vatican. Or Las Vegas?

Is it just restricted to cities. Every Lonely Planet guidebook has a section on 'nightlife' and lists places like bars and clubs that people go to 'hook up' so it would seem most cities in the world are like this or have their red light district areas and meccas for LBTQI people. Sex trafficking goes in in many ports. It used to be every sea port had its sailors, drunks and whores. Now every airline has its mile high club.

Rahab operated a brothel in Jericho yet she saved the spies and was a believer, so I would not discount that God has a big job on His hands in reaching repentant sinners who are caught up in that 'lifestyle' and saving them and setting them free.

there's Spain and Africa, who held the last 2 worldwide same sex Pride Celebration, and they're in a current study because many of them came down with monkeypox a half year ago when we heard about it. But yes, Mardi Gras in New Orleans is much like in the Florida Keys the super wealthy same sex people do a 2 week bash.

Canada, is pretty liberal any more. Yeah, Sodom is Everywhere across the Globe.

In NZ laws have changed, just like in other countries that now make prostitution legal (called 'sex work') and decriminilised homosexual acts, made same sex marriages legal too.

If it was still illegal, they would have to build MORE prisons but they prisons are overflowing as it is, plus in prisons its segrgeated by sex/gender anyway there are seperate men and womens prisons.

Then people had this idea of home detentions and electronic bracelets, but criminals easily get around this by covering the braclets with tin foil

IN OT werent adulterers (both parties) stoned to death?

In most every workplace Ive been in there have been people who are open about living in sin and I cannot judge them and tell them they are wrong as I am not their boss/employer, (with the power to discipline or fire them) I just need to work alongside them, but not partake in their sin or be tempted by it.

I can share what Jesus has done to save me though it may fall on deaf ears, however if they are open and need prayer etc they know who they can call on.

Those in the top jobs are not immune, and many many have failed marriages or had affairs etc. If you are a single woman in the workplace you will have to deal with sexual harassment no matter what job you do. Even in the OT, Ruth had to deal with it...so Boaz kept her away from other men so she wouldnt be hassled.

The cities are where the jobs are now as all the good arable land has been taken by corporates and run by machines. Country towns are not thriving and many others have become ghost towns when the gold ran out. If they have not been abandoned, they have to find some other way of making a living.

Pornography etc are what some eventually fall into as easiest way to make a buck apart from trading your soul for the rat race.

The suburbs are full of broken homes, most divorcees have split their families up if they have children and everyone is scattered. There are some good neighbourhoods still bit gentrification does make it super expensive to live anywhere.
