are the angels the first visitors Lot warned not to stay in the city square and sheltered in his house?
did the entire city form a mob, attempt to break down his doors & threaten to murder Lot and his family every time?
or is there something very different about the a angels in the minds of the men of Sodom? if so what makes them so valuable to them?
are they just pretty? is that all?

Eze 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Eze 16:50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Sodom was involved in many sins that the LORD was not pleased in but it was homosexuality that did them in.
God and 2 of His angels appeared in flesh as 3 men to Abraham.
God told Abraham about Sodom and Gomorrah, and Abraham said if you find ten righteous there will you spare it, and God said He will spare it.
God was going to test Sodom and Gomorrah with the angels in the appearance of men how the city treated them.
They stayed at Lot's house and the men of the city surrounded the house and told Lot to bring out those 2 men that they may know them which means to have sex with them.
Lot offered his 2 daughters to the men to have sex with them but they insisted to have sex with the men.
Not one person cried out let us not do this wicked deed but they were all in one accord to either have sex with them, or in support of it.
Then God knew there was no righteous person there and He overthrew the cities.

Proverbs 6:
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Even if it only broadly falls under the words of verse 18, does it not make sense that - because of the wording of verse 16 - God hates anything that is an abomination to Him?
Leviticus 18:
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
God says that it is an abomination. Do you think God hates it?
Leviticus 20:
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
How serious is this? The penalty is death.
Deuteronomy 22:
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
Even when men and women wear each other's clothing, it is an abomination to God.
How much more then is it an abomination when two men do that which is unseemly...?
Romans 1:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
I believe there is plenty-sufficient "mention" in the Bible on the topic to give a firm impression of what God thinks about it.
Perhaps you have not been aware of these verses?

Perhaps you have not been aware of these verses?
Because - violating the natural order that God set up is far worse, more wicked, more evil - in His eyes - than doing evil within that natural order. As bad, wrong, and evil a thing it is for a man to rape a woman - in God's eyes - it is far, far, far more wicked to 'violate' God Himself (please understand the context) by crossing a God-ordained boundary in His creation that God intended should never be crossed - not even once.
2 Peter 2:
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jude 1:
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
The angels referred to in these verses crossed a boundary God intended should never be crossed. They "messed with" God's creation in a way they were never supposed to.
God is greatly offended when angels or people "mess with" the natural order of His creation - doing things He intended should never happen - things that are a wicked abomination to Him.
You need to understand this. God is very serious about the way He set up His creation.
The natural order is "one man and one woman" - anything else is the worse kind of wicked abomination that there is - because, it violates the natural order of the creation.
There are many things that are bad, wrong, sinful, evil, etc. - and, they are all sin against God. And, I am not suggesting anything otherwise. What I will suggest is that anything that violates the natural order of God's creation - in a way - violates God Himself.
I dare say that two "consenting adult males" violating the natural order of God's creation is "worse" - in God's eyes - than a man raping a woman.
It is still very bad, wrong, sinful, evil, etc. to rape a woman. And, I am not suggesting anything otherwise.
It is all bad, wrong, sinful, evil, etc. - nonetheless, you have to look at it from God's perspective.
God created 'masculine' and 'feminine' the way He did for very good reasons. (And Satan is doing everything he can to try to wreck it.)
Men are supposed to look, dress, act, etc. like men. Women are supposed to look, dress, act, etc. like women.
These things are very important to God. And, anything that violates the way He intends for it to be is an abomination to Him.

Do not see Sin as the cause of the city to be judged. and out of sin unchecked produces more degrading actions and creates devices by which sin can be done. All cities will be the same as Sodom and Gomorrah who forget God. Sin is a reproach to any people.
No man can know the evil that is in the heart of man. We see the action of man after the fall to do greater types of sin.
Disobeying God
Murder
sexual sin
drunkness
Idolatry
When you think it could not get any more sinful :
killing babies to false gods
sexual relations with the same sex, things far too much to even mention.
