And I would also like to add that saying that the gifts are no longer needed is like saying that we no longer have an adversary..such as oh....who could it be........uhhh.....the devil????
dude, if you cant show why and where I am wrong, and just say NOPE not right, then please dont add anything, I showed scripture, there are kept in their context, if not show where and how they are not. Otherwise, you disagree simply because you want to believe what you believe, and without any reasons as to why, except it's what you want to believe. That's fine, but at least don't act as if I pulled scriptures out of context, at least show where, if your going to make that accusation. I am starting to notice something that is consistent among those who advocate what you do, no one deals with scripture.

It's not about something "being out there". If that's the case, I would have to no longer believe in the power of God to regenerate a heart of stone, and replace it with a heart of flesh. That is supernatural, and definitely "out there".

It is also not because some abuse it. The mentality of, "some fake it, therefor all are fakers" is erroneous for multiple reasons.

I would encourage you to examine, when in scripture do miracles occur.

Hebrews 2:4
4 while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will

Agreed.

Double agreed.

Where in scripture DON'T they occur?

Hebrews 2:4
4 while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will
Sorry, I missed the part where it says "But now you don't need these things anymore, so God stopped letting you do them" ;)

I'm not trying to be cheeky, but nobody has yet to show me a verse that I feel states that the gifts have ceased. But, I don't want or expect you nor ANYONE to lean on my understanding. I would very much rather that you asked The Lord yourself. ;)

On a side note, I hope you're having a great summer, Mr. Diggs! :)

I read every scripture you posted and not one of them even remotely had anything to do with the topic being discussed here, It's all just vague concepts.

Good job in showing how that is true. Oh wait, you didnt, you just keep repeating that. It sounds more like:

"Here is a passage that shows...."

YOU: "uh uh, no it doesn't"

Yes here is another

YOU: "No, that is wrong"

Okay How?

YOU: "cuz it is"

Where do I go from here? You win:)
