That is over reading a passage.
Ezekiel slept on his side for all those days that he was told, he baked a cake with human feces and ate- Ezekiel paid the price for the house of Israel but still prophesied to them.

Picking a passage out of context and applying on Jesus- it would be interesting to see how you connect Jesus to the even where Ezekiel is told to bake with human feces.

Another prophet was forced to marry a prostitute for the sake of Israel- how does this apply to Jesus?
I don't believe any person ever paid for anyone else's sins. It's like Jesus said, the scriptures testify of him. Sometimes Old Testament shadows are hard to read but for me there is no doubt Ezekiel is foreshadowing Jesus.

I believe the great tribulation happened at the time of Jacobs trouble when Christ came the first time so I obviously am not pre, mid or post.

I believe that one day soon Christ will return and the dead in Christ will rise and we will met them in the air. I don’t understand the millennial reign at all at this point.

Thanks for telling me.
I am "historian"...amillinian...... To me it means history has shown all prophecy to the Jews has been fulfilled....only the prophecy to the church as yet to happen.......the last trump of the rapture.

No wonder you don't get that millenial thing...as you know, there is no furture millenium.....that is why I am Amil........no millinium in furure because we are in the millenium now. (The Greek word for one thousand is not the same word used in scripture .....that one means MANY thousand. chiloi - plural, used in scripture chilias - singular........not used in scripture.)

I don't know it if will be "soon". Many generations thought it was time. I just wait for His coming. Maranatha

The bible says things which wil happen in the millenial areactual events, and signs of the times. Non of those things have happened, or are happening.

So if this is the millenium, God is not much of a prophet;

Or maybe you just don’t understand the symbolism around the millennium. I think that’s much more likely than believing God is not much a prophet.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying, I don't believe the 70 weeks lasted until 70 AD. Locutus was saying that it ended in AD 70 and my response was that I believe it ended at Pentecost but there is no way anyone could push it past 70 AD.... meaning the futurist view is impossible.
The last 7 yrs of Daniel's 70 wk prophecy is a bookend of two 3 1/2yrs periods right??! The first 3 and 1/2 yrs is Jesus' ministry the time of the Gospel; ie when Messiah is cut off. The second 3 and 1/2 yrs is from abt the destruction of the Temple probably right before to the end of the Roman Jewish war.

3and1/2yr-40yr generation-3and1/2yr
67ad------30ad------------70ad-----74ad

On this wicked generation shall all of these things come!

How long your idea of generation is ......is a moot point. The fact that Jesus said THIS generation means the generation He was speaking to. The age of the apostles. Their generation. Since John was the last apostle to die, it can be assumed that he lived more than 40 years (a number for how long a generation is supposed to be according to Hal Lindsey considering that he must have been at least 20 when He began to follow Jesus as the YOUNGEST apostle.....the Jerusalem siege ended in 70Ad so John would be around 60....and .OF THAT GENERATION Jesus spoke to no matter what ACTUAL age John was by that time.

Not saying you’re wrong but I don’t see it that way. I see Christ as the focus of all prophecy and I see the 70 weeks as literally 70 weeks.

I believe the end of earthly Jerusalem and that “way” ending with Christ.

Why does preterism exist? I believe its here to test us, to see if we can refrain from name-calling and blatant disrespect. Its a tough task for sure!
I have been able to refrain for now
I'm just here to torment you and your ilk before the time laff.gif

or you are not much of an historian
So once again you can not answer. So you just belittle and mock.

Well hey, I can do that too. Your not much of a.. no wait..2 wrongs do not make a right. Here just answer this.

When have these things occured in the last 2000 years. And why are they not happening today?

Since your a historian you should easily be able to answer..If you question what parts I am asking aout. They are bolded. So they shoudl be easy to see.

Is 11:
11 There shall come forth a [a]Rod from the [b]stem of Jesse,
And a Branch shall [c]grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord,
And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,
Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,
And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
6 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little child shall lead them.

7 The cow and the bear shall graze;
Their young ones shall lie down together;
And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole,
And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.

10 “And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse,
Who shall stand as a banner to the people;
For the Gentiles shall seek Him,
And His resting place shall be glorious.”

11 It shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left,
From Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,
From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the [d]islands of the sea.
12 He will set up a banner for the nations,

And will [e]assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together the dispersed of Judah
From the four [f]corners of the earth.

13 Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart,
And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not envy Judah,

And Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
14 But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west;
Together they shall plunder the [g]people of the East;
They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab;
And the people of Ammon shall obey them.
15 The Lord will utterly [h]destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt;
With His mighty wind He will shake His fist over [i]the River,
And strike it in the seven streams,
And make men cross over [j]dry-shod.
16 There will be a highway for the remnant of His people
Who will be left from Assyria,
As it was for Israel
In the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.

From what I have read in different posts on the subject......I do not think there is general knowlege about the differences between preterism and calvinism.........doctrinally much the same but eschatology is different. Also the word "preterist" seems to have some meaning other than what it really is.

Nehemiah........cranky again are we?
Not sure what is the basis of this remark, but Christians should get cranky when there is so much nonsense being broadcast about eschatology.

We have one person in this thread telling us that the Great Tribulation was back around 70 AD. But failing to tell us why we are not already in the New Heavens and the New Earth.

Getting back to Daniel's prophecy about Seventy Weeks, all you have to do is study Dan 9:24 carefully to see that Daniel's 70th week has not been fulfilled, and is yet in the future.

These people who keep harping that the 70 weeks of Daniel have already been fulfilled display (1) ignorance of all Bible truth and (2) ignorance of world events in relation to Bible prophecy.

So I guess you think the Gentiles are going to seek after Jesus right AFTER the times of the Gentiles ENDED lol. What a joke.

So you gonna answer my question or not?

I am not cranky. If I was cranky you would know it.
