50) Cold or Hot Anger?

- In Chapter 13, the Israelites abandon Yah.weh again!

- So he gives them to the Philistines for 40 years!

- Can we call it anger?

- For me, it looks like a ritual!

- The Israelites never respect their part of the covenant so they pay the consequences!

- They look like children or teenagers who never grow up!

- Finally, Yah.weh sends them a judge to help them!

- Samson!

- Same for mankind!

- Man never grows up!

- He is good for nothing!

- But Yah.weh will put an end to this farce!

52) Cold or Hot Anger?

- Judges chapter 19 is an interesting chapter to understand the reality of Israel!

- We are told about a Levite who travels with his concubine and his attendant!

- He decides to stay in Gibeah which belongs to the Benjaminites!

- An old man offers them hospitality for the night!

- Then people come to his house and they want to have sex with the Levite!

- The old man offers them his daughter and the Levite’s concubine!

- They rape them during the night and then sen her away!

- And the woman dies!

- So the Levite cuts the woman into twelve pieces and sends each piece into each territory of Israel!

- Then Israel gather together!

- There are 400,000 foot soldiers!

- Israel wants to kill the men of Gibeah who acted badly!

- But the Benjaminites refuse to give the men!

- Yah.weh tells Israel to fight against the Benjaminites!

- And Yah.weh defeats Benjamin!

- Many Benjaminites die!

- And Gibeah is put on fire!
