12) What did God give Daniel in this verse? (Daniel 1:17)

As the others he receives knowledge and wisdom and also the possibility to interpret visions and dreams meaning he was different from the others he has something special according to God that’s why he receives more abilities that’s also why he wrote the book of Daniel. And everywhere in the book of Daniel we see him showing humility and trying his best to serve God and always giving credit to God for being able to interpret dreams and visions.

What did King Nebuchadnezzar make and set up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon for the people to worship? (Daniel 3:1)

An image of gold. It is a way to show his power.

What was this image made of and big was it? (Daniel 3:1)

https://hermeneutics.stackexchange.com/questions/9326/have-the-sizes-of-the-image-of-gold-made-of-nebuchadnezzar-any-significance

The sizes didn't represent anything special themselves, but if you know them, then you know that this "image of gold" was not a mere statue - from the given proportions (10:1 ratio) you could conclude that it was an obelisk. Obelisks in ancient world could have special meanings and purposes. Some of them were considered "sacred pillars". Pliny the Elder in The Natural History (Book 36, Chapters 14-15) describes them as objects often associated with Sun worphip. Similarily, Ammianus Marcellinus in his Roman History (Book 17). There are conflicting opinions about how to interpret Hebrew words used by Daniel in this verse and not everyones agrees on the concept of obelisk, but the proportions of the image (10:1 ratio) suggest it strongly.

The Bible is not very clear about any representation as to why the King built in its size. However, one thing is certain, he wanted to be worshiped like satan. The King wanted to make sure that the statue would be visible in all of the Babylonian kingdoms so that he placed it in a plain (Plains of Dura) where there would be lesser sight obstruction. Additionally, 60 cubits are approximately equivalent to 90 ft., or a 10-Storey building. By that, we can safely assume that the statue could be visible. So when the music starts all of the people inside Babylon would fall down and worship in the direction of the statue. Satan, just like Nebuchadnezzar, wanted worship. He brought Jesus in one of the highest building in the land and said that he would give all of the world's kingdom if Jesus would bow down and worship him. I hoped I answered the question.

Was King Belshazzar scared when the fingers of a man’s hand wrote on the wall? (Daniel 5:6)

Yes a lot as he turned pale and his thoughts terrified him and his hips shooked and his knees began to knock together. We can imagine the situation when people can see a hand writing and nothing else ! Anyone would be scared !

What was the interpretation of the writing on the wall in these verses of the book of Daniel? (Daniel 5:26-28)

The Babylonian empire is overtaken by the Medes and the Persians. When the different empires think they are at the top they are put back at their real place that is down. Nothing is eternal especially human power.Today you are at the top and tomorrow at the bottom. It is incredible to think of this human inability to watch reality in the eyes. They always react when it’s too late. How ridiculous it is ! All that for that !

Daniel 1:8 - Daniel asks for religious exemption (might not "defile") from placing toxic substances in the body temple from a Babylonian (religionist). The religious exemption is denied (just as it is today).

Daniel 1:11-13 - Daniel sees that the religious exemption was rejected (he not being a Babylonian religionist), and then goes to the next person nearest his situation and asks for a medical exemption and trial. He obtains this exemption.

Daniel 1. Health crisis test.

Daniel 3. Group morality (church) test. First Amendment, make no law establishing religion.

Daniel 6. Individual alone morality test. First Amendment or prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

After Daniel 1's health crisis subsides, Daniel 2 comes with the prophetic test and death decree. In Daniel 2, the explanation is accepted for a brief time, but by the time of Daniel 3, the Babylonian King tries to rewrite prophecy in His own image, and the group morality test comes. The image of a man without God is the image of a beast (Daniel 4), 60*6*6. It comes with plenty of fanfare (4 times musick mentioned, think like Kanye W.)

Well said, Daniel is really a good example of faithfullness to follow if we want to stay faithfull. And his prayer to God for the Jews to go back to their homeland and rebuild Jerusalem which was heard by God is also a good example to get a good communication with God and the right attitude to adop in front of him!

When Daniel saw the vision in this verse what happened to the men that were with him? (Daniel 10:7)

They don’t see anything but a great trembling seizes them and they run away and hide. So it means it must be something powerful . It reminds me of the encounter with God and the Israelites when they ask Moses to speak with God because they are afraid of God because his voice is like thunder !

4) What will happen to the arms of the South in verse fifteen of the book of Daniel? (Daniel 11:15)

They will not stand nor his select men ; and they will have no power to stand.

- There is nothing unusual human kings : they only know violence, strength, pride !

- They win and they lose and they win and they !

- But do they really win because sooner or later they will lose ?

- But even the « great » conquerors lost because it lasts for a while and then it collapses : destiny of empires !

- isn’t it ridiculous ?

- Man seems to be a ant : but they do many things for nothing !

- Is that happiness or frustration ?

How is the great tribulation described in verse one of the book of Daniel? (Daniel 12:1)

A time of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time.
As well as here...

(Dan 12:1) "Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.

compare...

(Mat 24:21) "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.
(Mat 24:22) "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
