my answers are bolded
I'm going to pick on one part here. I don't agree entirely but I'm not sure I entirely disagree. But a normal woman breastfeeding and doing so discreetly is far from shameful. If you view it as such I'd suggest praying about it and asking God to give you a proper view of the female body. Breasts were made to feed babies. I get that they're more but and six months ago I'd have agreed with you. But... It attracts far more attention for my son to have his head covered. He thinks he's dying and alerts everyone in ear shot while wrestling the blanket as if his life depends on it. I've also watched men and women both take jabs at my wife while she was showing far less skin than anyone else in the vicinity..... Simply for using her body to nurish a baby... Exactly what God made it for. Society has perverted it and we've basically acted as though the possession of private parts is shameful when in fact it isn't at all. What is shameful is over exposing for self gratification or attention. And breast feeding typically doesn't do that at all.

I don't think that you're in left field. I completely agree down to the no bathing suits/avoiding the beach. This type of modesty is so attractive. You can show compassion without ever saying a word. If only every sister showed this sort of compasion.

I agree with your approach to this.... I applaud it.

If we were at the beach, however, I wouldn't expect you to remain covered, head to toe.

Personal responsibility plays a huge role here.... If you are wearing a bikini that has everything covered up, and I cannot be in your presence without thinking lustful thoughts, then the problem is with ME, not you.
Bikinis should never have been invented ;).

this is too funny

years back, I read in a woman's magazine, while waiting in the doctor's office, that the woman in the gif who played in I dream of Jeanie, originally had her navel showing with the outfit she wore and it was changed because of outrage at that

so, how appropriate she eats popcorn for this (hack hack cough cough) civil discussion

hope you have enough butter on that. better get the beverages

I have always dressed modestly. I don't wear skin tight clothes, holey jeans, exposing tops or the like and my makeup is minimal. A couple weeks ago when I was on a business trip, I was wearing an oversized shirt and yoga pants, I had a grown man grab me and tried forcing himself on me. I told him no thanks and pushed his hands off of me and he persisted, my bf was upset when I told him. Just because women dress modestly and are pleasant does not keep the perverts at bay.
.

I agree. I have several dresses and tops that I ware only to certain occasions when I know who's company I will be in.

Just flyin by the seat of my pants here, but when Adam and Eve received knowledge of good and evil, that is when they realized they were naked and ashamed. Then they were given the leaves for covering. Before they didnt notice they were uncovered. So with evil came lust? Just a thought that that is where it all began. So covering private parts became necessary after the fall.
Well my friend that's a blurred line you painted there. If I may what the scripture has pointed out is that they became self awared, self conscious if you will that opens the door to pride, ego, and such. Self has now entered the thoughts which is what the change is all about.
To say it was a lusting thing Imo is a far reach considering there was no one to compare to and no intamate relations had taken place yet.

Im glad you agree, but according to some people on here it was immodest what I was wearing, so I deserved what happened to me.

It's honestly sad how people can jump to conclusions in any given situatuon.

I have a young preteen nephew and I would be very upset if we came upon a women with her breasts exposed feeding a baby. Its not necessary,it is possible to be modest and still feed a baby. Not everyone is an adult and understands sexuality vs feeding a baby. To me its a mute argument. If we need to be modest in dress we can be modest feeding a baby.

I believe the eyes that were opened of Adam and Eve were the eyes of their hearts, not physical eyes[See Ephesians 1.18 here]....The nakedness had nothing to do with what we call nudity. I believe Adam and Eve's physical state before the fall were like Jesus after his resurrection. The nakedness they saw and felt was that their glory was gone....

I believe Revelation's description of the new world is exactly what Eden was like before the fall and we need to view Adam and Eve in that context....I believe they were as we will be when the corruptible puts on the incorruptible[ 1 Cor 15]

I do not believe God did not give them coats of skins to hide physical nudity, it was the method of atonement to cover their fallen state...until the second Adam came...Atonement means to cover sin....

Possibly, but the Bible says they knew suddenly they were naked and made leaves to cover themselves. Their eyes were opened. So something changed with the fall.
Which eyes were opened Kayla? Spiritual or natural? Their glory changed with the fall.

The network censors forced the show to put a jewel in Barbara Edens belly button so it would not be exposed....

No,my point was that they were now open to the knowledge of good and evil. They were now aware they were naked, and were ashamed. And yes thats when evil came, sin, lust. Not Adam for Eve,I mean in general, thats where sin came in,in the garden.

Are you a guy or a girl?..your avatar says you are a guy...if you are, why are you discussing dresses....or did you slip up here and reveal that you are not someone who you claim to be?

I believe it was both, according to Scripture.

Gen.3-
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LordGod among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
